  1. >Night 17 in Equestria
  2. >Somehow, even though you are asleep, you know that you are asleep
  3. >You still remember all of what happened earlier in the day
  4. >It seemed to have just spiraled out of control, you have no idea what even was happening it went so fast
  5. >You just had to go with the flow
  6. >In your sleep, you do not cringe or worry remembering the events, though, you only feel calmed
  7. >Likely because all your dream, this time, is a black endless landscape in which you exist alone
  8. >Though everything is black, you can somehow feel as if it is also glowing a dark, sparkling, blue
  9. >This is a concept you are familiar with ever since coming to Equestria, but still find hard to describe
  10. >As you walk through the endless landscape, you come across a familiar blue pony with both a horn and wings
  11. "Hello?"
  12. >It starts to walk away from you slowly
  13. "Hello?!"
  14. >You try running towards it, but every step you take brings you further away from it
  15. >The pony eventually goes back out of sight
  16. >A soft, but still booming, voice surrounds you
  17. >"Young creature, do not fear anything in this landscape. It is created of our will to help calm you for this conversation."
  18. "Who is this?!"
  19. >You yell out in concern
  20. >"Worry not of who we are, as we will likely meet in the future soon enough. We have come to your dreams to ask forgiveness for our sister. Many of the terrible things that hath happened, and will likely continue to happen, is a direct consequence of her hasty actions towards you. She does this out of fear and concern for those she cares about. While the things done to you hath been terrible, please persevere and show the goodness that resides within you and show forgiveness when the time comes. You must not give up hope. We will be watching over you and providing the best protection we can, however limited it may be."
  21. "Wow. This feels way too much like an RPG opening."
  22. >As the voice begins to fade, you feel yourself drifting into consciousness once again
  23. >The sensation of a scaly body surrounding yours is the first thing you notice when you come back to consciousness
  24. >Even though you open your eyes, blackness still envelops your vision
  25. >It must be the middle of the night now, because almost no light is even coming from the window in this room you awoke in
  26. >Your hearing adjusts to being fully awake and you hear the sound of heavy rain outside
  27. >Ah, it must also be cloudy outside; that explains why the moon or stars aren't giving much light to your room
  28. >The other sound you hear is a dragon's breathing behind you
  29. >You have heard this enough within the last week to deduce it is Flizzy's sleeping breathing pattern
  30. >So here is the situation, if you can deduce correctly based on all of the signs
  31. >Flizzy must have carried you here
  32. >Then you slept until late into the night
  33. >Now she is sleeping while wrapping you, which is a bit abnormal, but not enough to really put much thought into
  34. >And now here you are
  35. >Completely awake, being wrapped around by a sleeping dragon while it is raining outside
  36. >You try to get up, but with Flizzy holding you, you can't escape
  37. >You try a bit harder, you really need to get up and stretch; your body is much too cramped
  38. >As you attempt to wriggle your body out of Flizzy's grip, your torso begins to burn up and cause you to make an audible yelp in pain
  39. "Ah~!"
  40. >Wow, that sounded too much like a girl for your comfort
  41. >Luckily Flizzy is asleep and couldn't hear yo--
  42. >"Anon?"
  43. >You feel the grip on you tighten on you as Flizzy awakens from her slumber
  44. "Graah~!"
  45. >There we go, that one sounded a bit more manly; disregard the extreme pain she is causing you at the moment
  46. >"Oh crap!"
  47. >Flizzy wakes up fast at your yelp of pain and quickly releases you
  48. >The feeling of relief immediately makes you fall back on the bed
  49. >"Sorry Anon! Are you alright?"
  50. >You groan in pain and cough some as you attempt to get your lungs back in the rhythm of breathing after being squeezed so hard
  51. "Yeah.. Just peachy.."
  52. >You try to laugh to show you weren't hurt, but it comes off as slight chuckles that are mostly interrupted of coughing
  53. >Your eyes are fully adjusted to the dark and you can see a worried look on Flizzy's face
  54. >You attempt to reassure her
  55. "D-Don't worry Flizzy. This isn't because of you, it is because of that stupid doctor earlier."
  56. >As you say that Flizzy's face goes from concern to anger
  57. >"SO IT WAS THEM?!"
  58. >The loud yell from her suddenly hurts your head terribly
  59. >As you clutch your ears to try and reduce the bellow's effect on your aching head you see Flizzy go back to being concerned
  60. >"Oh no! I am sorry Anon."
  61. >You just lay there and wave your hand in the way you always do to show that something is not a big deal
  62. >"...What happened to you?"
  63. >You are not sure if you should tell her all of the details, only certain details, or just reassure her that everything is already over and dealt with
  64. >You decide that it would be best for Flizzy to hear every single detail of what happened today
  65. >She is your cell partner and you think that she should know, especially because she was dragged into it unwillingly
  66. >You caused her to seemingly worry, the least you can do is be straight with her
  67. >You roll towards Flizzy and tell her very calmly
  68. "Okay then. I trust you and will tell you what happened."
  69. >Flizzy listens as you tell her all of the details of what had happened during the beginning of the day
  70. >You get to the part about being forcibly cut open against your will, but start to hyperventilate once you get to the part about Bright Blood lowering the scalpel
  71. >It was all so recent, you can feel it again as you describe it
  72. >You don't want to continue, as you start stuttering and pausing while you attempt to choke out the words, but you know you have to finish telling Flizzy
  73. >Especially because Flizzy looks more astonished than angry at what is being told to her, like she doesn't want to believe it
  74. >As you attempt to continue Flizzy starts to begin to feel awkward, shifting around uncomfortably
  75. >"A-Anon. Please don't cry.. I am sorry."
  76. >What?
  77. >As you feel your face, you notice that it had become wet with tears you didn't even know you had started shedding
  78. >You quickly turn away and attempt to wipe away the tears, you don't want to cry, it solves nothing
  79. >But as you try to wipe the tears away, it just makes you sob harder
  80. "I-I'm sorry, Flizzy. I d-didn't mean to. I will stop as fast as possible."
  81. >You choke out those words, trying not to cry, but the memory is still so fresh of you being tortured and almost dying that it feels like recalling this bends your body against your will
  82. >Flizzy is sitting behind you, acting awkward as she doesn't know how to deal with crying that well
  83. >After a few seconds of trying to logic out what she should do, she grabs you from behind and awkwardly hugs you
  84. >"It's okay Anon. Take however much time you need."
  85. >You don't want to take much time to sob, though
  86. >Through sheer willpower you stop crying, though you continue shaking
  87. "Thanks Flizzy. Don't worry, it is in the past, I can deal with it."
  88. >You turn back around and Flizzy lets go of you
  89. >For the rest of the story, you continue fighting back any of the bad emotions and just remind yourself over and over that it is all in the past
  90. >As the story progresses, Flizzy goes from sad, to angry, to VERY ANGRY, then VERY VERY ANGRY
  91. >Though when you finish you story, she seems to go straight back to her original emotion of disbelief
  92. >"I don't know how to handle this. You were immune to the doctors' magic, then you nearly died, then you forgave them, then you beat up your doctor, then a princess came and arrested him?"
  93. "Sorry, I shouldn't have told you, should I?"
  94. >Flizzy shakes her head
  95. >"No, I am glad you said all of this to me, but I can't believe it. How did the doctors' magic not work on you? It worked on me, and us dragons have a natural resistance against magic."
  96. >You just continue shivering and fighting the urge to puke after recalling all of this
  97. >"And how did you hit those doctors? How did you beat up Bright Blood? The anti-aggression magic field shouldn't allow you to do that."
  98. >She then gets extremely angry again
  99. >"How did THEY hurt you?! The prisoners shouldn't be the only ones affected by the field!"
  100. >You clutch your ears as she starts raising her voice again
  101. >"THIS MAKES NO SENSE?! WHY WOULD THEY EVEN HURT YOU AT ALL? YOU DID NOTHING WRONG!"
  102. >She starts throwing any reasoning out the window and starts yelling in pure rage
  103. >"IF THIS FIELD ISN'T WORKING ANYMORE, I AM GOING TO HURT THEM! I AM GOING TO MAKE THEM FEEL LIKE YOU DID!"
  104. >Your headache is splitting and you just wish for Flizzy to stop yelling
  105. >She starts growling and spitting out small amounts of fire as she yells
  106. "P-Please stop."
  107. >You are in agonizing pain once again as Flizzy starts yelling
  108. >Flizzy notices you, once again, but doesn't fully calm down like last time
  109. >"Anon. I trust you, BUT I need you to do something for me."
  110. >You uncover your ears as she stops screaming, head still splitting from the massive amount of noise
  111. "What?"
  112. >"Hit me."
  113. "What?"
  114. >As you repeat yourself, so does she
  115. >"Hit me. Hit me with the intention to hurt me."
  116. >You really don't want to hit Flizzy, you don't even know if you could hurt her with your body aching so badly
  117. "I really don't want to hit you Flizzy.."
  118. >"Anon. Just hit me. You likely wouldn't hurt me too badly, but I really need you to hit me right now."
  119. >You are not sure why she is being so insistent, but you decide to oblige against your own preference
  120. >You ball your fist, still laying down, and jab her lightly
  121. "Is that good?"
  122. >She shakes her head
  123. >"It needs to be harder."
  124. >You jab her lightly once again
  125. "N-Now?"
  126. >"Harder Anonymous! Here, sit up and give me your best hit."
  127. >You sit up and get ready to hit her
  128. "I really don't want to hurt you.."
  129. >"Anon! Don't be such a wimp! Just hit me!"
  130. >She starts raising her voice again and you just decide it would be best to get it over with as fast as possible
  131. >You put all of your power into this punch, which is decently miniscule compared to what your body could normally do when not recovering
  132. >The punch lands straight in Flizzy's stomach and she recoils back a slight bit and goes
  133. >"Ouch. Now that actually hurt, you have more strength than I would have thought."
  134. >As she tries to crack a joke, while rubbing her stomach where you hit her, you are rolling around on the bed holding your hand
  135. >Not only is your body still recovering, but hitting her felt like hitting a brick wall
  136. >Flizzy doesn't notice this, though, because she is much too preoccupied on getting angry again
  137. >"So. This means you were telling the truth then."
  138. >Flizzy then goes full rage mode and gets up off of the bed
  139. >You notice this and try to follow along behind her, stumbling unsuccessfully
  140. "Where are you going?"
  141. >She breaks the bars open with her massive strength and just starts stomping away
  142. >As you stumble along behind her you start to realize that whatever she is about to do, it is not something you want her to do
  143. "Please come back here Flizzy. Everything is dealt with already."
  144. >She just keeps stomping along, as she extends her wings to start knocking things in the hallway over to show how angry she is
  145. >Oh no. You really have to catch her before she does anything wrong
  146. >You don't want to see her hurt anyone, but more importantly you don't want to see her get hurt
  147. >The security is low, but you have a feeling that if she goes and picks a fight, she may not be able to win it
  148. >You aren't stupid and know that if they have the anti-aggression field down then they must have something else to stop prisoners from rioting or hurting each other
  149. >This may be a lovely prison system, albeit with a few insane doctors, it is still a prison
  150. >You stumble along the hallway, barely keeping up with Flizzy as she slowly grows farther and farther away from you
  151. >It seems like your dream; every step forward you take she only continues to get farther away
  152. >Eventually your weak legs give out from under you and you fall over infront of someone's cell
  153. >When you look up again, Flizzy is gone
  154. >You can still hear her, though, thanks to her breaking of all things in the hallway
  155. >No! You can't lose sight of her
  156. "FLIZZY! FLIZZY!"
  157. >You yell out trying to keep her from walking away
  158. >The sound of breaking items only keeps growing farther and farther away, not losing speed in the slightest
  159. >You start coughing as a bright light shows up beside you
  160. >"Keep it down! I am trying to sleep!"
  161. >You look beside you to see Umbright getting out of his bed behind the cell door
  162. >"Freaking idiots!"
  163. >He gets fully out of bed and removing his sleep mask
  164. >He seems to have a cell to himself
  165. >"Who is making all that noise?!"
  166. >He looks over towards the front of his cell to see you outside of it, using the bars to try and prop yourself up
  167. >"Anonymous? W-What are you doing here?"
  168. >He begins to grow much brighter as he sees you
  169. >You close your eyes and look away as you try to speak to him
  170. "Flizzy has run off and I am worried for her. I am trying to chase her, but then I fell thanks to my injuries. Sorry for making the noise, please don't mind me."
  171. >You continue to try, and unsuccessfully, prop yourself up
  172. >Umbright goes back to his normal not too brightness and walks over to the bars
  173. >"Oh. Well, do you need me to help? Not that I am helping because it is you or anything."
  174. "Yeah, I could use some help, but I don't want to get you in trouble too."
  175. >Umbright scowls
  176. >"How possibly would I get into trouble?"
  177. >He opens the cell door and props you upwards onto your feet
  178. "Wait... Huh?"
  179. >You think you just lost the ability to understand
  180. >"What? Stop staring!"
  181. "But how?"
  182. >"How what? Are you stupid or is this how you hyoomans thank others for helping them up?"
  183. >You point towards the door
  184. "How did you open that? Flizzy had to break our door open."
  185. >Umbright looks at you as if you had just confirmed that you were an idiot
  186. >"She didn't HAVE to do anything, these doors open if we want them to. They aren't locked."
  187. >He then looks at the trail of broken items
  188. >"It's kinda obvious why she broke the door, if this trail is any indicator."
  189. >You start moving slowly forward again while using the wall to prop yourself up
  190. "Thanks Umbright, but I don't want you to get into any trouble for anything that might happen."
  191. >Umbright just shoves you over causing you to start falling
  192. >He then catches you on his back
  193. >"Shut up you idiot. I don't know and I don't care for whatever that stupid dragon is doing or why she is doing it, but as soon as she and you woke me up, this became my problem. So just point me in the direction she went."
  194. >You point towards the trail of broken objects and say weakly
  195. "Probably just follow that."
  196. >Umbright lights up a bit in embarrassment
  197. >"Y-Yeah. Of course I knew that. I was just testing you to see if you knew that."
  198. >You know he is trying to save face, but you don't call him out for it
  199. >You really don't care
  200. >"L-Let's just go already!"
  201. >He starts walking at a brisk pace down the trail of broken objects that Flizzy had left behind
  202. >...
  203. >As you begin to catch up to Flizzy, you hear a massive roar and the sounds of yelling
  204. >That roar, it must have been Flizzy
  205. "Flizzy! Please stop!"
  206. >Umbright and you rush towards the sound and see an angry Flizzy yelling incomprehensibly at a guard pony who was tasked with patrolling during the knight
  207. >The normally composed guard unicorn is freaking out as he is being picked up and dangled from his armor
  208. >"I SAID, WHERE ARE THE DOCTOR'S QUARTERS?!"
  209. >The guard stallion starts yelling
  210. >"I don't know! Please let me down!"
  211. "Flizzy!"
  212. >"Hey you stupid dragon! You woke me up!"
  213. >Umbright chimes in, but for completely the wrong reason
  214. >Flizzy continues to ignore you two as she starts breathing smoke in the air and releasing small flames from her mouth
  215. >"I will only ask you ONE MORE TIME!"
  216. >The guard pony is nearly crying, as he is being held and threatened by an angry creature nearly four times his size
  217. >"I don't knowwwww!!!"
  218. >Flizzy sits there and thinks while you yell to her to "please stop"
  219. >Suddenly a familiar sounding voice comes from your side
  220. >"WELL THIS SEEMS TO BE THE MOST FUN NIGHT WE HAVE HAD IN A WHILE!"
  221. >Oh god, not her
  222. >Your ears and head start splitting for a completely different reason than your headache as a familiar blue pony with yellow hair, wearing her normal warden outfit, suddenly is standing next to you and Umbright
  223. >"Oh Celestia, please not her.."
  224. >Umbright's light is waning as gives an agonized look on his face
  225. >It seems he shares you sentiment
  226. >"SO! WHAT ARE WE DOING HERE?"
  227. >The guard pony, still dangling from Flizzy's claws holding him by his armor, looks down pleadingly towards the warden
  228. >Flizzy also directs her attention towards the warden, her full rage now directed towards her too
  229. >"OH WOW! HOW SCARY!"
  230. >The warden giggles
  231. >She puts the guard pony down, who runs into the corner and cowers, and instead tries to grab the warden
  232. >But Freedom Keeper just jumps on top of the claw and hops off of her arm
  233. >"NO THANK YOU! THAT GAME DOESN'T LOOK VERY FUN!"
  234. >Flizzy keeps attempting to grab Freedom Keeper, but the warden just keeps dancing around her claws while avoiding every attempt with playful ease
  235. >"NOW THIS GAME IS FUN! WEE~!"
  236. >You would have been astonished by this agility shown by the warden, but because of the Basketball game a couple of days ago, this is not too big of a surprise
  237. >As Flizzy attempts to grab her, you slowly get off of Umbright
  238. >Umbright is too busy watching Freedom Keeper toy with Flizzy
  239. >You slowly stumble your way towards Flizzy
  240. >Looking at her now, in full rage mode, you remember just how large she really is compared to you
  241. >The feeling of intimidation doesn't stop you from trying to reach her though
  242. >Your voice is too worn out to keep yelling, so you are now just muttering her name over and over
  243. >You begin to feel dizzy with each step you take, and your body feels like it is burning up
  244. "Flizzy.. Flizzy.. Flizzy.."
  245. >You keep repeating to the best of your ability as you stumble closer
  246. >Freedom Keeper and Flizzy are too busy with one another to notice you getting closer
  247. >"Enough!"
  248. >Flizzy yells as she attempts to sweep grab the warden
  249. >Freedom Keeper just jumps backwards over Flizzy's claw and says
  250. >"COME ON! WHAT MAKES YOU THINK THAT WILL WORK? KEEP IT FRESH!"
  251. >Flizzy sweeps the other way with her other claw, but the warden just jumps over it once again
  252. >This time, she notices where Flizzy's claw is going
  253. >"NO! ANONYMOUS MOVE!"
  254. >As you get close enough to lean on Flizzy to try and get her attention, Flizzy's sweeping claw hits you
  255. >It is not too hard, as it was at the end of its swing, but it was hard enough to cause you to fly back a few feet
  256. >As you hit the ground, you start to cough and clutch your body
  257. >The impact didn't exactly hurt, but it instead caused something else to hurt inside of you
  258. >As Flizzy hit you, she immediately is overcome by a magic aura that first causes her to fly back in the same motion as you, then caused her become sedate
  259. >She is much more calm now and is no longer raging angry
  260. >She is instead now at the corner of the room, twitching from the sudden magic aura surrounding her and holding her in place
  261. >As this happens, a group of prison personnel, mostly guards but also a few doctors, storm into the room
  262. >The guard ponies surround the dazed Flizzy and the doctors rush over to the other guard pony who is cowering in the corner of the room
  263. >As Flizzy begins to regain her sense of self, she sees you lying over in the corner of the room hacking and wheezing, holding your throat
  264. >After being hit by Flizzy's claw, you seemingly couldn't get yourself to stop wheezing
  265. >It feels as if one of your lungs are once again filling with fluids
  266. >You try desperately to breathe, as you lay on your right side
  267. >That seems to help a bit, but you still are having a terribly tough time breathing
  268. >As Flizzy notices you she yells out
  269. >"Anon! No! Somepony help him!"
  270. >The guards surround her so that she can't rush to your side, but after saying that the other doctors rush to your side
  271. >Umbright also runs over in concern
  272. >Flizzy yells at the doctors once they reach you
  273. >"Get away from him! Anypony but you ponies!"
  274. >Right now, you just want help
  275. >The feeling is literally suffocating, as if one of your lungs just doesn't want to accept air anymore
  276. >Umbright yells at the doctors
  277. >"Help him you fools! Anonymous, stay awake!"
  278. >Flizzy keeps yelling at the doctors
  279. >"I said to stay away!"
  280. >One of the doctors gets over to you and starts checking your breathing with a stethoscope
  281. >"GET AWAY!"
  282. >Flizzy tries her best to overcome the anti-aggression magic's effects, but can only manage to yell that angrily before getting winded
  283. >Umbright glares at Flizzy and yells back at her
  284. >"WILL YOU SHUT UP?! ANON IS HURT BECAUSE OF YOU!"
  285. >That hits Flizzy hard and she goes silent and hangs her head
  286. >For a few seconds she stays silent with her head down
  287. >The doctor examing you begins to push on your chest, helping you breath slightly
  288. >You recognize the doctor who is currently examining you; it is the doctor who kept helping you this morning
  289. >Soon enough, Flizzy reraises her head and starts begging with tears in her eyes
  290. >"Please don't let them take him away. I don't want Anon to leave me too."
  291. >She pleads as she begins to sob harder than you did earlier
  292. >"You can hurt me instead. Just please leave Anon alone."
  293. >You don't know exactly what is happening, but you lift your head and look towards the dragon you could call your best friend
  294. >She is sobbing extremely hard, trying, as you did, to wipe hers tears away with her scaly arms
  295. >As you look at her, she notices and stops trying to wipe away her tears
  296. >Instead she starts apologizing while crying
  297. >"I am sorry Anon! Please don't hate me! I am so sorry!"
  298. >You cough a bit, with your head not being in an angle it should be in your current health
  299. >Your chest is pulsating with a lot of pain and you feel like you are burning up, but before you lay your head back down, you smile gently towards her and wave your hand in the way you always do to show that something is not a big deal
  300. >As you rest your head again, the doctor starts getting the ponies around your to place you on a human sized stretcher
  301. >"Don't worry Anon. I won't let you down this time. Just stay with us and breathe slowly."
  302. >The doctor gives you a look of confidence, as you continue to cough up fluids you are unable to identify from your perspective
  303. >https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7aa1Dkr_1Q [Embed]
  304. (not doctor music, but I feel like it fits)
  305. >Time goes agonizingly slowly as you are brought into the room you were operated on this morning
  306. >This time, you do actually need surgery
  307. >The doctor pony, who is now in charge of this operation, tells the other ponies what to do
  308. >After examining you by passing you through an x-ray, they see an object in your chest that should not be there
  309. >It is a scalpel, most likely dropped by the incompetent Bright Blood before rushing out of the operating room
  310. >It is sticking into one of your lungs, the left one to be precise
  311. >It is causing your lung to fill with blood and become unable to properly fill with air
  312. >They have to remove it quickly
  313. >Hearing these words be spoken is not pleasant to your ears, as you know what that means
  314. >"Prep him for operating! Get the operation tools!"
  315. >You want to object, but the lack of breath keeps you from doing anything but manually breathing (which all of you are now doing) to stay alive
  316. >The doctor notices your unhappiness at this, but continues on
  317. >"The patient is seemingly immune to medical magic, so we are going to need to use very old and zebra-like techniques to operate on him. Prepare the manticore venom for numbing the patient, prepare fermented bone dust to cause drowsiness, prepare the poisonous mushrooms to induce a hypnotic state, and prepare whatever sewing tools we have in addition to our normal operating tools."
  318. >"But sir, these are all highly impractical tools that we have limited numbers of. How do we know if this will even work on him? Dr. Bright Blood would have never allowed such primitive trea--"
  319. >The doctor pony cuts him off and says angrily
  320. >"Stop asking questions and just do it! He is in critical condition! We need to try whatever we can!"
  321. >...
  322. >You are woozy but still hanging on
  323. >This is not a good day at all; two times dying on the operating table, both times caused by malpractice
  324. >The doctor brings over the manticore venom, is inside of a purple glassed flask, and starts applying it to your abdomen
  325. >As that happens, your entire torso becomes numb
  326. >He then hands you a small bowl of ground up bone dust and tells you to breathe it in as best you can
  327. >You try to inhale it through your mouth, but the opening is so wide for the amount of pressure you can make through inhaling, that it only is able to enter your mouth and land on your tongue
  328. >The bitter taste makes you spit it out immediately
  329. >You get a better idea
  330. "Bring me a flat surface, like a book, and a straw."
  331. >The doctor is confused, but does as you say
  332. >You take the bone dust and dump it on the book, organizing it with your hand into a line
  333. >You then take the straw and snort up the bone dust
  334. >"Anon? Are you alright?"
  335. >Drowsiness already is taking you after a few seconds of snorting the bone dust
  336. >You can't speak, you are too tired
  337. >"Good, I guess..."
  338. >Finally the doctor takes the chopped up poisonous mushrooms and gives them to you to eat
  339. >You just chew them up and swallow them slowly, not having the energy to do it in haste
  340. >The taste is bitter, but also somewhat tangy
  341. >All of the sudden, the room starts to spin and you hear the ponies starting the operation
  342. >You don't feel a thing, but you are conscious of half of the things around you
  343. >The other half has turned into crazy monsters and colors
  344. >They don't do much, but stare at you
  345. >You think you see Flizzy, but she is crying
  346. >This hallucination is whack as fuck, but also interesting
  347. >As the operation goes on, your mind constantly races around, imagining many things to be happening that are not actually, and staying in-between the states of consciousness
  348. >This goes on for the next hour or so
  349. >...
  350. >After an hour, you come off of your high and feel your chest aching very badly
  351. >The doctors are on their final step
  352. >"And finally, cut the thread."
  353. >You look down to see them finish the last part of stitching your chest closed
  354. >The doctor pony finishes up the operation by re-applying the manticore venom on the wound, making it so that you can not even feel the aching; though a slight burning inside your chest is still there
  355. >"Now Anonymous, do not take any deep breaths for the next day or so. We have applied poison joke to your lung, so that it now functions by breathing outwards. We will cure the poison joke once your lung has had time to heal, with some of the other herbal remedies we have applied. Until then, breathing too deeply may cause the herbs to spread out too thinly for even just a second, which may be bad, though we can not say for certain based on our lack of understanding of your anatomy."
  356. >This feels extremely surreal, especially because your brain is still kinda screwy from the poison mushrooms and bone dust
  357. >You know that your life was saved by this pony and the doctors that originally had put it at risk
  358. >As you had previously promised, though, there will be no grudges held
  359. >If anything, you are just grateful that they had saved you
  360. "Thank you doc."
  361. >The doctor you had come to trust so much smiles and takes off his mask
  362. >"Please, just call me Altruist Hope. From this point on, I will be your primary care doctor, as approved by Princess Sparkle."
  363. >He then points to the corner of the room to the purple princess who had a large list of papers she was writing on
  364. >"She had been taking notes during the operation, to make sure we would not make the same mistake as before. Now that we are done, we are going to take you back to your cell."
  365. >Altruist Hope takes you and loads you onto a wheeled bed
  366. >He gives you a bottle full of yellow and orange liquid, somewhat resembling a lava lamp's fluid, and tell you to take a tablespoon of this every morning to help with the healing process
  367. >As they wheel you by the door, Princess Sparkle gets up and walks over to you
  368. >You just stare at her, and give her a smile
  369. "Tha--"
  370. >While you begin to speak, she cuts you off
  371. >She starts apologizing with a sad look on her face
  372. >"Anonymous, I apologize for everything I had said earlier this afternoon. While I still do not think that violence was the best way to deal with the situation, I can understand why you felt you had been backed into a corner and needed to respond with such actions. What you must have been feeling... what you are currently feeling... I have never felt before myself. In this one day, you have gone through much more hardship and pain than most ponies have gone through in their entire lives; and it was wrong of me to judge your actions without knowing all of the details. I beg your forgiveness for my callousness and brash behavior."
  373. >You just smile again and give a small response
  374. "So can I finish what I was about to say?"
  375. >She looks up at you confused
  376. >"Huh? What do you mean by that?"
  377. >You reach out your arm weakly and pet her head
  378. "I don't blame you for anything. I am actually thankful you came and helped me when I needed it the most. Your words hurt me slightly, but I didn't hold them against you. So, thank you Princess Sparkle. Both for helping me deal with Bright Blood and for understanding my reasons."
  379. >Twilight smiles gently and takes your hand in her hooves
  380. >"You remind me of others I have met before who act as kind as you do. How you have found your way to our world, I don't know, but I am sure you will somehow get back to yours."
  381. >As you begin to start getting pushed past her, she waves you goodbye
  382. >"Thank you Anonymous. I hope you feel better soon."
  383. >You just wave her goodbye also, and rest as you are pushed back to your cell
  384. >...
  385. >When you arrive towards your cell, you see Flizzy laying on the bottom bunk, holding the pillow you always use, close to her
  386. >You ask the Altruist Hope if he can wheel you over, which he does
  387. >When you get close, you see that the entire bed under her head is wet from the tears that are still streaming down her scaly cheeks
  388. >You look over at your doctor
  389. "May I get up for a second?"
  390. >The doctor nods, but insists on helping you stand
  391. >As you get on your feet, you pet Flizzy on the back of her head, scratching her head like she does so often to you
  392. "Flizzy..."
  393. >You whisper into her scaled ear
  394. >"..Hmm?"
  395. >Flizzy slowly wakes up and turns towards the sound
  396. >She looks towards you, seeing upwards towards you smiling face
  397. >"A-Anonymous? I-Is that you?"
  398. >She starts crying again when she sees your face
  399. >You lean over slowly to hug her head
  400. "I told you everything would be alright."
  401. >You then think for a second and crack a little joke to lighten the mood
  402. "Well more signaled it, but meh. Heh heh."
  403. >You bend back upwards and she slowly turns her body towards you
  404. >"Anon, I never thought I would see you again. They didn't hurt you, did they?"
  405. >You shake your head and continue stroking the top of her head
  406. "Naw. The doctors healed me up perfectly; though I do have to take it easy for a little while."
  407. >You then stop petting her head and say in a still joking tone
  408. "I would never leave you with such a dumb excuse as 'death', so never worry about that. I am too great for that."
  409. >She wipes away her tears as you lift the mood and begins to give the big smile you love to see from her so very much; the one that feels like it could heal you just by existing
  410. >"Yeah. Like I've said many times before... I trust you."
  411. >You start clutching your chest and slowly sit back on your bead as standing takes its toll on your recently operated on body
  412. >"Are you alright?!"
  413. >Flizzy goes from joking to concerned very quickly
  414. >You adjust yourself back on your wheeling bed to lay down comfortably
  415. "Yeah. Don't worry, I just need to stay comfortable for the next few days. Probably won't be walking around too much. I am alright, though."
  416. >You then go back to joking around
  417. "On the bright side, now you get top bunk alone without having to worry about me sweating on it. You are officially the sole alpha, until I get better to usurp the throne again. Heh."
  418. >Flizzy doesn't share the same laughter, though
  419. >"Anonymous."
  420. >She looks sullenly over to you
  421. >"I am so sorry. I hurt you and because of tha--"
  422. >This time YOU cut someone off
  423. "Not this stuff again."
  424. >You laugh to keep up the positive mood
  425. "I think I have had enough apologies for today; I get it, everyone is sorry."
  426. >She gets a sad look on her face as you say that, as if you had just rejected her apology
  427. "Look. You had injured me only by setting off a timebomb from Bright Blood that was already leaving me feeling ill. You didn't mean to hit me, it was an accident. While I would have preferred you not getting angry and storming off, ignoring my wants, I still feel extremely flattered that you got so angry and protective over me. I am very happy you seem to value me so highly. And I value you highly too. So please don't apologize, I don't want to hear it. I just want to see you happy now. Not angry, not regretful, not confused, just happy. Can you do that for me, as a 'get well soon' present?"
  428. >Flizzy goes silent and nods
  429. >"I-I will be happy. And I will make you happy."
  430. >She starts getting flustered for some unknown reason
  431. >"And I will prove to you how much you mean to me. I realize it now. Thank you Anon."
  432. >She then starts to walk out of the room
  433. "Uhhh... Where are you going?"
  434. >Smiling brightly, she replies
  435. >"I am going to do what I need to do. Don't worry about me Anon. I will do what is necessary, just trust me."
  436. >You have no idea what she is talking about, but you trust her
  437. "I understand. I will see you later Flizzy."
  438. >You get yourself covered in the blankets on the mobile bed and rest your head on the pillow
  439. "I need sleep now, so you just stay safe. Okay?"
  440. >Flizzy nods and walks off to wherever she is going
  441. >Before going to bed, the doctor gives you a button and explains that pressing it will get a nurse pony down here ASAP
  442. >He then leaves and you prepare for sleep
  443. >You fall into a deep sleep as you listen to the rain hammer against the window
  444.
