[6:17 p.m.]Charging Thunder grins crookedly and looks up as Aran enters.
[6:17 p.m.]Aran Sutorei strides into the room without a moment's pause. The door closes behind him, heralding the shifting and clicking of the various locks snapping into place. "Everyone fall into line."
[6:17 p.m.]Kaito Nagano: "We're technically sitting, so we would be rising." Nevertheless, he stood.
[6:18 p.m.]Hakujitsu Joshoyari cries as the other side of the room is abandoned.
[6:18 p.m.]Chiyo Gharl thinks Kaito needs to freakin' move.
[6:19 p.m.]Kaito Nagano wins the fight for Tsu's right hand.
[6:19 p.m.]Aran Sutorei cross his arms over the sternum with a sigh. "That'll do. I want to dually congratulate and chastise you for your maiden deployment in the recent operation to retrieve Vomva from detainment."
[6:20 p.m.]♦Aran Sutorei: "Your objective was completed with no casualties taken. I'm glad of that."
[6:20 p.m.]♦Aran Sutorei: "What I'm not glad of is the manner some of you opted to conduct yourselves in."
[6:21 p.m.]Tsubatai Gharl raises an eyebrow slightly, but it lowers as Aran continues speaking.
[6:21 p.m.]Kaito Nagano bit the inside of his cheek in lieu of rolling his eyes. (No casualties.)
[6:21 p.m.]Charging Thunder 's brows raise, and she glances sidelong at Kaito. She didn't know what had happened but it was definitely his fault.

[6:22 p.m.]♦Aran Sutorei: "There have been complaints of disorganization within this branch of the cell, which is to be expected given that each of you have only just been deployed."
[6:24 p.m.]♦Aran Sutorei: "I no longer directly oversee the operations of this branch due to need of my presence in active combat zones with the main forces of the cell. But I'm here now because I have taken leave from my current duties to ensure that this branch is whipped into form."

[6:25 p.m.]Charging Thunder squints at Aran disbelievingly.

[6:28 p.m.]Tsubatai Gharl turns the stone in his hand over, his head canting for a moment at something or the other. He straightens up soon after, however.
[6:29 p.m.]Kaito Nagano shrugged as loudly as a silent action could, staring flatly at Aran.
[6:29 p.m.]♦Aran Sutorei: "Using self sacrificing methods is an admirable /concept/, but in execution, it is not only putting yourself in danger, but your fellow operatives as well."
[6:30 p.m.]Charging Thunder glances at Kaito again, and realizes Aran must be speaking to him. She was right?? ...Well of course she was right.
[6:30 p.m.]Chiyo Gharl cants her head. She's a normal healer. This ain't her problem.
[6:30 p.m.]♦Aran Sutorei: "I realize that the Eorzean spirit is contagious, even to those who aren't native."
[6:30 p.m.]Kaito Nagano cocked his head towards Charging, eyes narrowed. His gaze softened for a tick before he shrugged again.
[6:31 p.m.]Charging Thunder shrugs very minutely as he looks at her.
[6:32 p.m.]♦Aran Sutorei: "But your lives are as important as your fellow operatives. Salf sacrifice is a final, last ditch effort to ensure mission success. Not something to turn the tide in the middle of the operation."
[6:32 p.m.]♦Aran Sutorei: "Even then, it should only be done to preserve the lives of others."
[6:32 p.m.]♦Aran Sutorei: "Do not sacrifice yourself for something that doesn't require your death."

[6:34 p.m.]Tsubatai Gharl blinks a few times -- the 'Green Mile' reference clearly flew over his head, but he seems to have gotten the rest of it.
[6:34 p.m.]Kaito Nagano isn't sure what a mile is.
[6:34 p.m.]Hakujitsu Joshoyari may have also not understood it. Oh well.

[6:36 p.m.]♦Aran Sutorei: "The threat at hand was not neutralized following operation success."

[6:37 p.m.]♦Aran Sutorei: "This is not a fault of the fireteam, but an unexpected complication that arose from the presence of an unexpected Aether Siphon that was located in the premises of the detainment cap."
[6:38 p.m.]♦Aran Sutorei: "We are still labouring to gather intelligence about the aether manipulator that you encounted during the operation, but we have leads that point towards a small contingent of Garlean forces in Ishgard controlled zones in the skies."
[6:39 p.m.]Tsubatai Gharl becomes suddenly and acutely aware of how vastly subpar his vocabulary and knowledge is in regards to what Aran just said -- at least as far as the aether stuff is concerned. He does, however, grimace slightly at the mention of Ishgard.
[6:40 p.m.]Chiyo Gharl on the other hand, flinches quite noticibly at the mention of the city-state.
[6:40 p.m.]Charging Thunder knows what an aether siphon is but isn't sure what it has to do with the price of tea in Doma.
[6:40 p.m.]♦Aran Sutorei: "Knock and myself will be updating you each on any developments, but a scouting party will be constructed to gather intelligence from areas of interest in the Sea of Clouds."

[6:45 p.m.]Aran Sutorei turns his attention to Waith for a brief moment before flicking his attention from the man's sternum to the gathering at large. "Thank you."
[6:45 p.m.]Kaito Nagano was tempted to trace his fingers along the obvious circular scar orbiting his midsection.
[6:46 p.m.]Charging Thunder: Is it specifically the cloud sea what's suspect or is it other Ishgard-held territory as well?
[6:47 p.m.]♦Aran Sutorei: "The former. There are reports from near Falcon's Nest as well, but they're by and large circumstancial and they lead me to believe it has more to do with events concerning the Dragonsong War. Not our problem."
[6:47 p.m.]Tsubatai Gharl passes the stone he holds to his other hand. "If I am needed, you need only tell me -- as much as my size is a detriment to watching unhidden."
[6:48 p.m.]Charging Thunder grunts, nodding.
[6:48 p.m.]♦Aran Sutorei: "Subterfuge will only be part of the assignment. Your stature shouldn't prove an issue, Shoroo."
