After reading the TU article about Troy's mishandling of the tax disbursement to the Lansingburgh Central School District I find it disturbing but also have questions. The sites in question would be the Stoneledge Apartments and Diamond Ridge retirement village? According to the article they were granted an IDA PILOT (in lieu of taxes) which would result in the specific IDA who granted the PILOT to make the tax bill whole. Why haven't they? To shortchange the residents and school children of Lansingburgh is disgraceful. The article also points out the mayor has ignored all requests to meet with representatives of both the county and LCSD. This is unacceptable.

I have in a previous email to those above asked for the resignation of the top Troy IDA officials for their constant disregard for State guidelines. You don't have to go any further or could it be more clear when the Office of the State Comptroller criticized the Troy IDA with a scathing report yet this administration looked the other way. Before leaving office it would be in the best interest of Troy residents to install some ethical leadership at the IDA and at the very least have the mayor meet with the cheated officials to make good on what is owed.
