  1. Part 1
  2.
  3. >You are Anon
  4. >Just got back home after a boring day at work and shopping
  5. >Walk through the gates and find a heavily wounded woman
  6. leaning against the fence, eyes closed and grass burned
  7. >Her red and gold dress is torn up at the sleeves with a huge gash on the front of it
  8. >Black hair disheveled, entire body sweaty
  9. >Shards of glass stuck to her feet
  10. >Decide to carry her into the bedroom where she wouldn't be seen by anybody else to avoid a commotion
  11.
  12. >She wakes up the instant you put her on the bed
  13. >"Who-"
  14. >"Just a normal person."
  15. >The woman is breathing heavily while speaking
  16. >It's safe to assume that her aura's completely gone for the time being with those wounds, and she knows it too
  17. >"Just rest. You need anything?"
  18. >"...Drinks..Food..Don't care what.."
  19. >You start to walk to the kitchen to grab what she wanted
  20. >*DING DONG*
  21. >Whoever's ringing the doorbell will have to wait
  22. >Saving this woman is the top priority right now
  23.
  24. >Just gave her some water and a hot dog from the store
  25. >"...Is that all?"
  26. >Her voice sounds weird, but everything else about her appeals to you for some reason even with the weird look at the hot dog
  27. >"If you wanted anything else, it'd just take awhile. I wanted to make sure you got-"
  28. >*DING DONG*
  29. >That damned doorbell. Can't it wait?
  30. >Turn back to find her wolfing down the hot dog as fast as she can
  31. >Her breathing is thankfully starting to get better
  32. >Though her mood isn't, as she glares at the bedroom door
  33. >"Just ignore it. I haven't asked, what's your name?"
  34. >Her glances away from you make it clear she's not comfortable with that question
  35. >"...Cinder."
  36.
  37. >Cinder. It sounds like a cute name
  38. >You can't just say that to her with her bad mood
  39. >As you think about what else to say, somebody else is getting impatient too.
  40. *DING DONG**DING DONG**DING DONG**DING DONG**DING DONG**DING DONG**DING DONG**DING DONG**DING DONG**DING DONG**DING DONG*
  41. >It takes about 5 seconds before the both of you absolutely lose it
  42. >"CAN'T YOU CHASE THEM OFF ALREADY!?"
  43. >"HOLD ON, CALM DOWN, I GOT IT!"
  44. >You stomp away as she's gulping down all her water before opening the door
  45. >"What is it!?"
  46. >Your anger instantly evaporates as you see a little girl in a black and red dress and red cape with silver eyes flinch away
  47. >"S-sorry Mister, I saw how messy your yard was and I thought.."
  48. >"No no, it's okay. I'm sorry for yelling. Rough day."
  49. >"Sis, that's why you don't ring doorbells so many times."
  50. >Behind the cute girl's cape, an absolute knockout appears
  51. >Blonde hair, violet eyes, spats, exposed navel, cleavage
  52. >Her sexy outfit is the opposite kind of appeal to the cute girl's
  53. >You try your best to keep your eyes on the cute girl to avoid staring at her sister as she speaks
  54. >"Excuse us sir, we're currently chasing somebody."
  55. >"And you came to my place for that?"
  56. >"Yeah. It'll take just a few seconds."
  57. >A short pause before you sigh
  58. >"Alright, let's hear it."
  59. >"So did you see a black haired woman in a red and gold dress around here? She needs to be turned in to the authorities."
  60. >You freeze up at the description before shaking it off
  61. >If these little girls could handle her, then there's no reason to believe that you couldn't
  62. >Besides, seeing her in such a state made you feel quite sorry for her
  63. >"No, I didn't. I just got back home from work."
  64. >The girls look at each other before nodding
  65. >"Oh. Well okay then. Thanks for the help. Maybe we can chat again if you see her?"
  66. >The blonde gave a quick wink at you as her sis stared at her incredulously from that
  67. >"YANG! No hitting on strangers!"
  68. >"I'm just joking, no need to flip out Ruby."
  69. >"..Can I go now?"
  70. >With each passing moment, you weren't sure if Cinder was going to give you any more problems when left alone
  71. >"Yeah, of course, see you later!"
  72. >"Bye!"
  73. >The girls walked away as you slowly closed the door and ran right back to Cinder.
  74.
  75. >"So, who were they?"
  76. >Much to your relief Cinder was trying to drink out of an already empty cup
  77. >You quickly noticed some water was dripping down her lips and chin from how sloppily she drank from it
  78. >"Two girls who were looking for you. You're not exactly a welcome person here, are you?"
  79. >"And what if I am?"
  80. >"Just don't try anything with me okay? I'm still going to help."
  81. >A short pause as she thought to herself before she sighed and set the cup down
  82. >"Fine. It's not like I have anywhere else to go anymore. Got any more food and water?"
  83. >A quick nod and run back and forth before setting a pitcher down for her on the bedside table
  84. >"So what are you supposed to be, somebody fallen from grace?"
  85. >A quick glare from her made you stop before she nodded
  86. >"I had it all. A plan, loyal pawns, and timing. But a lot of..blunders made it all burn down."
  87. >You thought her eyes glowed for a bit but nothing happened
  88. >The closer you looked at her, the more you realized it
  89. >"You were at the Vytal Festival, weren't you? I remember you kicking some guy hard."
  90. >You could see her smirk at the thought as you continued
  91. >"You also had a nice outfit on too. Speaking of which.."
  92. >You pointed at her torn up dress
  93. >"What exactly are we going to do with those? You can't go moving around in them."
  94. >Another smirk from her gave you a shiver down your spine
  95. >"Surprise me, boy."
  96.
  97. Part 2
  98.
  99. >You sighed before turning around towards your closet
  100. >You did not want to risk pissing Cinder off, so while she was getting undressed you were trying to find new clothes
  101. >Obviously you didn't have any dresses inside your closet, so she'd have to deal with it
  102. >You sighed as you went through each piece, trying your hardest to think while dodging the thought of her naked behind you
  103. >"No not this one, that looks too thick for her."
  104. >"This one looks too thin and ragged.."
  105. >"...A bit embarrassing, but I think it will do."
  106. >It was a black t-shirt depicting 3 Beowolf Grimm howling at a moon
  107. >It looked good at first but now you question why you spent the lien on it
  108. >"Hey, will this shirt do for you-!?"
  109. >You turned around to see her with her arms raised and back to you still in the middle of undressing
  110. >She's wearing absolutely nothing but black shorts right now, her upper body open to your eyes
  111. >But what stuck out to you the most was a curious black tattoo
  112. >"Is that supposed to be a heart?"
  113. >She turned her head around at your words and laughed lightly
  114. >"So what if it is? A gentleman such as yourself shouldn't peek at a lady while she's changing."
  115. >"Since when did I get promoted from 'boy' to 'gentleman'?"
  116. >You called out her taunts but was silenced by her movements
  117. >Hips shifting to one side, she pointed down at her feet
  118. >The shards of glass you saw stuck in her foot were scattered all over the floor
  119. >From the looks of it, the food and water you gave her was enough to at least take care of those wounds
  120. >"I'm seeing results, and they're..satisfactory for the time being."
  121. >She flashed a smirk at you before turning around with her hands covering her chest
  122. >"You want these as a reward, don't you?"
  123. >You knew she was just teasing you, trying to bait out a response
  124. >It might have been because of how much better the mood was, but she was replying more friendly than before
  125. >Either way, you wanted to be the one who was dominant, not her
  126. >Wait it out, it'll get better with time
  127.
  128. >With an eyeroll you threw the Beowolves shirt at Cinder
  129. >She easily caught it with a hand, using the unoccupied arm to cover her chest
  130. >With narrowed eyes, she sighed before moving herself into the shirt
  131. >"This looks interesting. I'll be able to change into my other outfits when my aura recovers."
  132. >She slowly examined herself before shifting her hips to one side again and brushed her hair aside
  133. >You couldn't help but stare at her, she easily pulled off a look you'd never be caught in
  134. >"..Well? How do I look?"
  135. >Her words jolted you out of your stupor
  136. >"It looks stunning on you."
  137. >"That's surprising, you know how to throw out compliments."
  138. >Her eyes glowed some more, though you felt comfort from that this time
  139. >"How long do you have left until you recover?"
  140. >"Aww, is the man worried that his woman is going to leave him?"
  141. >You facepalmed at how obvious that particular attempt was and how she saw right through you
  142. >Sounds like her mood is getting unnaturally friendly quite fast
  143. >Before you could open your mouth to reply, it happened
  144. >*DING DONG!*
  145. >"Those girls are persistent, aren't they?"
  146. >"Annoyingly so"
  147. >You cursed the doorbell inside your head, cause the teasing was admittedly nice
  148. >Now the good mood's gone, you might as well check to see what they wanted
  149. >You motioned to Cinder, pointing at the bedroom door before she nodded
  150. >"You know what will happen if you rat me out, right?"
  151. >"Those girls will come to save me from you?"
  152. >You could see her twitch a bit at those words
  153. >"Very funny. Just go."
  154. >Looks like you finally found a way to one up her
  155. >Satisfied with that reaction, you went over to the living room to answer the doorbell
  156. >You should've expected it, but the people who answered were quite different from who you thought it was
  157. >You were face to face with two men taller than you in black trenchcoats and suits
  158. >"Hello sir, we're from the police department. Do you mind if we asked you a couple of questions?"
  159.
  160. >Caught by surprise, you backed away from the duo as they imposed themselves upon you
  161. >"We're just here to confirm something. Do you know this woman?"
  162. >One of them showed you a picture of a woman who was obviously Cinder
  163. >You're not quite sure when the photo was taken, but it must have been in quite a rush
  164. >Judging how closed off she was earlier, she wasn't the type of person to give out information about herself easily
  165. >It was only cause of your hospitality that you got info on her name, tattoo and ability to use aura
  166. >These two men must be high up on the food chain to even pinpoint her as a criminal
  167. >Sure she showed up at the Vytal festival, but it was as a normal entrant with a normal team
  168. >Those thoughts quickly rushed through your head before you shook it in response to them
  169. >"No? Not at all?"
  170. >The Officers turned to each other, eyebrows raised before turning back towards you
  171. >You quickly realized that since the Vytal Festival Tournament was a world-wide event, you'd look suspicious by not talking about it
  172. >"Well she did show up at the the 4-on-4 matches at the Tournament earlier. I had to go to work after though."
  173. >The two shot a look at each other before nodding
  174. >"Understood, just warning you now, we'll be keeping an eye around this area just in case she shows up. Have a nice day."
  175. >"Yeah, understood. You guys too."
  176. >As the two men started walking away, you realized that whatever chance you had to redeem yourself vanished
  177. >It was because Cinder was right. You didn't want her to leave
  178. >You haven't had company with somebody like her in a long LONG time
  179. >It wasn't just for emotional reasons either, you had a logical one too
  180. >It was because you could tell the two men weren't as strong as Ruby and Yang were
  181. >They still had the power to take you down, sure, but even so. You two could protect yourselves from them
  182. >Yet it was that reason that also opened up a scary possibility
  183. >When you didn't give Cinder up the first time, you thought you were stronger than the girls
  184. >In that case...Would you be able to take Cinder down if she were to turn on you?
  185.
  186. Part 3 out of ? to be continued.
