Short Felicia story

"Felicia you have been working so hard today, you needn't exert yourself!” I said to the young maid. She had been working tirelessly, scrubbing room after room of the castle spotless or at least trying her best to. Of course it was not without accidental dropping of plates or knocking over of buckets, this only added to the amount of work she had to do.
She turned to me, with a tired look in her eyes “But master it is my duty! You’re always so kind to me I want to do the best I can for you”
It made my heart flutter to hear her devotion but also pained me to see her so overworked and tired. With a smile, I said to her “At least take a break for a short while with me, it’s a beautiful night out there we can watch the stars together!”
Hearing this her demeanor changed and she visibly blushed, “w-watching the stars together? Yes! That sounds lovely”
“It’s settled then!” I announced happily as I took her soft and dainty hand and led her up the many steps to the top of the largest watchtower.

There was a slight chill in the air, but not enough to cause discomfort. The night sky was filled with stars that glittered and sparkled like the finest gems on earth, some shooting past, dancing through the sky. The land was illuminated by strands of star and moonlight; it was like something out of a fairy tale.
“Anon, it’s so beautiful!” Felicia gasped, her deep glacial blue eyes filled with wonder.
Smiling I turned to her, “It truly is, it reminds me I have something for you” I walked a few steps to her gift, which was resting on a blanket.
It was a single light pink rose, beautiful and delicate with soft petals.
“I found this at the end of a battle, something so truly beautiful amongst so much sorrow reminded me of you, for you have truly changed me as a person… Whenever I think of you or see your beautiful face I get the same feeling that I got when I found this rose!”
As I handed to rose to Felicia she blushed even more and then threw her arms around me “M-master anon that’s so sweet! Nobody other than you could ever make me feel as happy as this, a maid like me doesn’t deserve someone like you I’m so lucky!” Her words had nearly moved me to tears, my heart feeling like it could beat out of my chest at any moment, A few tears rolled down her delicate face which I gently wiped away.
She pulled her head back from my shoulder and looked into my eyes “Can we stay here tonight, just me and you? I-it’s ok if you don’t want to”
“Of course, I wouldn't trade that for the world!” I declared, feeling like I was in a perfect dream. I lay down on the floor of the watchtower, which was surprisingly comfortable as Felicia lay down next to me and put her arms around me. Looking deep into her eyes I gently ran my fingers through her silky soft hair and said “I promise no matter what I’ll keep you safe, you are always there for me and I’m going to do the same for you. I will let nothing harm you and always protect you; you truly mean everything to me. I love you so much Felicia”
“M-Master anon I can’t believe this is real, I have never been this happy in my entire life! I truly love you too I promise to work extra hard to make you happy… I never want this moment to end” small tears of joy were rolling down her face as she said this.
I reached for the nearby blanket and draped it over us, holding her in my arms I gave her a small kiss on her forehead and whispered “Goodnight, my angel”
