- [17:05] <~Headlong> GDRL-2: Addendum 10
- [17:06] <~Headlong> “As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy and to make plans.”
- [17:08] <~Headlong> Down in the depths of the Feather Quill Vineyard, the Dullahans, a hoofull of Equestrian Police officers, and Wishing_Well are trying to sort out exactly what the hell happened to Quarter, the magical vanishing tour guide. Cabernet is pouring out some White Zinfandel for Bonnet, while the others try not to look like they're interfering with an police investigation.
- [17:11] * Bonnet sniffs delicately at the white, glancing back at her companions.
- [17:12] * Scribbles stands idle near the crime scene, trying to see anything important to see from a civilian's view point.
- [17:14] <~Headlong> Giddy's... keen eyes, I guess... pick up not a glyph or rune, but a few scuff marks somewhere near the shattered wine glass labelled "Evidence 1". He discerns that there are absolutely /no/ magical presences in anything he can see. How he discerns that, though, isn't clear.
- [17:16] * Giddy blinks. "Hey, cops. You see that scuff mark right there?" He points it out.
- [17:17] <~Headlong> The police officers are looking over some written testimonies. One looks to Giddy with a frown. He plops an evidence tag labelled "Evidence 7" next to it. "Any particular reason a bunch of civilians are down here? I thought we were clear we didn't want any tours..." He grumbles.
- [17:17] * Wishing_Well takes a photo of the marks when it's pointed out, in his tireless job of wandering around police investigation sites.
- [17:18] <~Headlong> Scribbles doesn't see anything that out of the ordinary, for such an extraordinary case, that is.
- [17:19] * Kopesh isn't sure what he can add to the group looking the scene over. He says to Giddy and Scribbles, "Let me know what you find." He then turns back to where Cabernet and Bonnet are. "Hey, Cabernet, how many tours go through here each day?"
- [17:19] * Giddy cranes his neck around the cop, trying to see which way those scuff marks were heading, if there was anything odd about them like sudden cut-off points. "I'm a morbid person. You see which way they're headed?"
- [17:20] * Scribbles does see that three ponies are blowing her 'curious civilian' cover, and walks off, looking at something of historical importance.
- [17:20] <~Headlong> Cabernet practically thrusts a glass of Zinfandel into Kopesh's hooves as he approaches. "Oh... half a dozen during tourist season, at least."
- [17:22] <~Headlong> Giddy's observations are halted by an officer stepping in front of him. I
- [17:23] <~Headlong> "I'm gonna have to ask you to take a step back, son. This isn't a place for..." He looks a little confused by Giddy's attire. "A... whatever it is you do."
- [17:23] * Kopesh takes the glass with his magic instead and takes a repectful sip. "Mm, another good one. How often do you discover new flavors?"
- [17:24] * Giddy grumbles. Fine, he'll play nice. "Look, I'm a morbid person, and I'm also the designated driver. This is literally the only interesting thing left I can look at while the kids do the tour."
- [17:26] <~Headlong> Cabernet delights in a question like that. "Weeeeeeeeell! By now, it's hard to explore outside the conventional flavors of wine. There's your common reds; Merlot and Cabernet. Common whites..." He slings a lot of complicated wine terminology around. "But recently, we've been exploring combining tastes!"
- [17:28] * Scribbles continues her act of faux curiosity at anything that could distract a mare eager to learn about wine.
- [17:28] * Kopesh listens intently despite it being boring. "Combining how?"
- [17:28] <~Headlong> The cop gives a long "Uh huh." "Well, still gonna have to ask you to say out of it."
- [17:29] * Wishing_Well watches the newcomers curiously... After making sure he has pictures of all of the "evidence". He loved his job some-no, all the time! His smile had him wearing that thought on his muzzle.
- [17:29] <~Headlong> Cabernet explains how they've tried offsetting the biting acidity of a red with the pleasent fruityness of the white, and offers a round of a Chardonnay/Cabernet. It's quite tasty!
- [17:30] <~Headlong> One of the other officers trots over to Wishing_Well with an amused look on his face. "So, Wishing, find any of those... CPS or whatevers?"
- [17:31] * Kopesh decides on a different approach. "Have you always used the same equipment or do you update your methods periodically?"
- [17:31] * Giddy grumbles. "Camera pony! Try to find out where the scuff marks on seven go!"
- [17:32] * Bonnet sips appreciatively at the newly offered wine. She nods and smiles to her cousin, "Well I think this new venture is quite successful so far. I'll definitely need a bottle of this mixed to take back with me."
- [17:33] <~Headlong> The officer confronting Giddy shoots him a glare. "Sir, please step away from the crime scene."
- [17:33] * Wishing_Well looks at the officer, shaking his head. "No hard evidence here, other then a disappearence. I suppose I'm in as dark a room as you all are." he says, glancing over to Giddy, then the scuff mark, looking to see if it indeed leads anywhere else.
- [17:33] * Giddy decides then that he was discretion was the only option left for him.
- [17:34] <~Headlong> The officer in front of Wishing_Well claps him on the shoulder. "'s all right, killer! You'll get those SPCs yet." With a snicker, he returns to the crime scene, ducking under the tape.
- [17:34] * Giddy tries to wander along to where the white wines were. Maybe he can hit up camera pony for stuff he found out later. Right now, he had to catch up with the tour guide.
- [17:36] * Scribbles trots up to Giddy, following alongside him. "Scuff marks?" She asks, "What's that all about?"
- [17:36] <~Headlong> Cabernet smiles at Kopesh. "Ah! An excellent question. You see, these cedar casks are disassembled after each barrel is expended. They're then cleaned and put back together. It saves trees, and maintains that oaked taste that wine coinesseurs love!"
- [17:38] * Giddy shrugs. "Saw that they didn't tag it. Tried to figure out where they lead. Pig decided to step in front of me."
- [17:39] * Scribbles gives Giddy a glance. "You didn't happen to note where they were from the body.."
- [17:40] <~Headlong> Wishing wells sees that the scuff marks start and end rather abruptly. There are only two, and they are darker and more defined at their origin than termination. They indicate movement towards the rows of casks, not from them."
- [17:41] <Kopesh> "Has the incident back there affected anything?"
- [17:41] * Wishing_Well shakes his head, grinning as the officer walks away. "Of course." he says good naturedly, following the marks to the casks. Quirking an eyebrow, he takes another set of photos, then trots over and taps some casks, examining the rows carefully.
- [17:42] <~Headlong> Cabernet shakes his head. "Well, we can't take any wine from the casks behind the police line. Other than that, we've been maintaining what we can."
- [17:42] <~Headlong> Wishing_Well hears the sloshing of wine, and not much else. They're all decently full, and wouldn't need to be changed for some time.
- [17:44] <~Headlong> Cabernet also holds Bonnet an empty bottle. "Here! Fill yourself up as much as you'd like, cousin!"
- [17:44] <~Headlong> holds an empty bottle out to*
- [17:46] * Wishing_Well continues tapping casks and checking the area around the rows. Dissuaded by how normal the casks seem to sound... Not that he was an expert on wine casket acoustics.
- [17:47] * Kopesh begins wondering if he's waiting his time asking him all this, but he's not going to be of much use back there. "They're not a special batch are they? It would be pretty bad to be unable to get one of your best out to people that love it."
- [17:48] <Kopesh> wasting*
- [17:48] * Bonnet smiles and accepts the bottle from him, "Well thank you very much, Cabby, I do appreciate it." She carries the bottle over to the cask and starts carefully filling it, "Say, have you ever thought of using other fruits to alter the flavoring?"
- [17:49] * Giddy groans. Of course now he would be the designated driver. The one time he felt he needed a drink the most. After he catches up, he doesn't stay far from Bonnet.

- [17:52] * Scribbles mutters under her breath as Giddy walks away, and then looks back towards the crime scene one last time.
- [17:54] <~Headlong> Cabernet is delighted to have so many "enthusiastic" guests! "Well... They're not terribly special. Just more of our Amontilado special! And, Bonney, we have another winery devoted specifically to non-grape drinks! You're welcome to tour that, too!"
- [17:57] * Rime|Phone ([email protected]) Quit ( Ping timeout: 121 seconds )
- [17:57] <~Headlong> Wishing_Well sees nothing that the police haven't labelled with an evidence tag. Two of the officers depart, saying something about a 410 on Neighsly Drive.
- [17:58] <Kopesh> "Amontilado special, huh? How long have you been making that one?"
- [17:59] * Bonnet nods happily, "I'd love to, once we're done here."
- [17:59] <~Headlong> Without missing a beat, Cabernet puffs on his pipe and smiles. "Twenty-nine years! Ever since my father opened the winery, when I was just a little filly."
- [18:00] <Kopesh> "One of your classics then is it?"
- [18:00] <~Headlong> "Absolutely!"

- [19:31] * Giddy doesn't really know how to respond to this. He's mostly just waiting for the tour to be over so that he can do some real investigation.
- [19:34] <Kopesh> "So, what makes the Amontilado Special special?"
- [19:36] <~Headlong> Cabernet prepares his speech. "Well, Bonney and I's great, great, great, great grandfather supposedly owned the very winery that Raven visited when he wrote 'Cask of Amontillado.' It is imbued with a special black grape found only in the Everfree Forest that gives it that
- [19:36] <~Headlong> "...Raven black color."
- [19:39] <Kopesh> "Everfree Forest huh? How often do you go there to get the black grapes?"
- [19:40] <~Headlong> He puffs on his pipe again as another officer leaves. "About once a year. They have a /very/ short growning season."
- [19:41] * Bonnet blinks a little, "Wow, you really go to the Everfree Forest? That's just the kind of dedication I'd expect from you, cousin."
- [19:42] <Kopesh> "When was the last time you went?"
- [19:43] * Headlong gives an exggerated bow, his admiral cap dipping a bit over his face. "Mhm! I have to pick them by hoof. It's an exceptionally daunting task." He furrows his brow in thought. "About... four months ago. Yes, I think that's it."
- [19:43] * Scribbles is torn between investigating the super natural crime and possibly gathering information from Cabernet. Curse having the knowledge on knowing what to do, but having no idea how to really impliment it.
- [19:45] <Kopesh> "Do you go alone or do other workers go with you?"
- [19:46] * Giddy raises an eyebrow. Hmm. This... Might be a clue, actually. Then again, he's gone zero for ten for every other time he's ever thought he's gotten a lead. He made a note to investigate the cask that the mare disappeared from and see if there's any indicator if it were filled four months ago.

- [19:47] <~Headlong> Quarter was a stallion. Cabernet looks as though he's becoming wary of Kopesh's relentless questioning. "Is... there any reason you want to know, Mr. Kopesh? I mean, I'm flattered that ponies take interest in my business, but you are being rather inquisitive."
- [19:49] * Bonnet giggles softly and waves a dismissive hoof, "Oh, it's just how they are, cousin, you should have seen them on the train ride here."
- [19:50] <Kopesh> "This is a tour. Isn't being inquisitive the idea?"
- [19:51] <~Headlong> He takes another jovial puff from his pipe and grins at Kopesh. "Well, I can't tell you /too/ much, trade secrets and all that. But no, I never go alone. It's far too dangerous in there."
- [19:56] * Giddy doesn't have any further questions. He recognized, at the very least, when he opened his mouth, ponies didn't tend to like what he said.
- [19:57] <~Headlong> The one police officier looks around, his back legs quivering a bit. He turns to Wishing_Well. "Hey, Wishing, I'm gonna go take a piss. If you find any magic lampshades or see any ghosts, come get me, all right?"
- [19:59] <Kopesh> "So, how popular is your Amontilado Special?"
- [20:00] <~Headlong> Cabernet smiles. "It's our most popular brand, believe it or not! We sold over 20 million units last year alone, all across the world!"
- [20:01] * Kopesh chuckles. "Well, that sure makes the danger worth it I suppose."
- [20:02] * Wishing_Well nods absently at the officer, camera lowered after some vigorous picture taking. "Don't be too long, one might find you." he shoots back with his trademark smile.
- [20:03] <~Headlong> The officer waves a dismissive hoof as he trots for the can. "Sure they might..." He mutters. The room is now void of any law enforcement.
- [20:04] * Scribbles wanders back to the crime scene, doing her best to seem lost and/or looking for a bathroom.
- [20:07] <~Headlong> Scribbles sees the seven evidence tags laid out before her. The shattered wine glass, two of the casks, a few droplets of blood, an intact wine glass with a dark red wine pooling around it, a small handcart, and the scuff marks are all labelled.
- [20:08] * Bonnet glances over as the last police pony leaves before turning back to her cousin, "Ah, that's right, I still owe you an explanation for our visit, don't I."
- [20:09] * Scribbles finds herself absorbed into the mystery in it all, looking over the scene from the police line. The brought her attention to the marks of blood, guessing their origin.
- [20:10] <~Headlong> Cabernet gives Bonnet a quizzical look. "I..." He deflates. "You aren't here for the tour, are you?"
- [20:11] * Bonnet gives a wide, genuine grin, "Oh, no, I am definitely here for the tour."
- [20:13] <~Headlong> Cabernet smiles a little. "Oh... well... that's good."
- [20:14] <~Headlong> Scribbles' brain betrays her. On any other day, her forensic analyitical mind would have picked up on the direction of splatter, but today she's having trouble connecting the dots.
- [20:15] * Bonnet sweeps a hoof at her companions, "These ponies are clients of mine, trying to break into TV with their own crime show." She leans a little closer to Cabernet and whispers, "Get a little carried away sometimes though, you know?"
- [20:16] * Scribbles sighs and rubs one of her temples, none of her guesses adding up. She tabled the blood for now and moved on to the scuff marks Giddy mentioned earlier. Scuff marks could mean a fight, or a struggle, but since there was a tour group, group panic seemed to be the most plausible option.
- [20:16] * Kopesh isn't sure how much more he'll be able to get out of Cabernet. He looks at Giddy, hanging back a bit, if Giddy will allow, and speaking quietly. "Find anything interesting down there?"
- [20:17] <~Headlong> Cabernet blinks a few times. "Clients... of yours? Is... you do TV now? Or... this is some sort of practical joke?"
- [20:18] * Someonewithapen_ ([email protected]) has joined #FruityRumpusAssholeFactory
- [20:18] * Someonewithapen_ ([email protected]) Quit ( Quit: Take my advice. I don't use it anyway )
- [20:20] * Bonnet giggles softly and waves her hoof, "Oh heavens no, I still just design costumes. But they wanted to check out some exotic locales, and this was the first place I could think of! I figured I'd tag along for the trip to visit you."
- [20:21] * Giddy just hangs back and... Yeah, just kinda lets Bonnet handle this. "Scuff marks. Probably from the cask moving. Probably the cask she drew from." He whispered.
- [20:21] <~Headlong> Cabernet frowns a little. "I... just... That doesn't..."
- [20:21] <~Headlong> Quarter was /still/ a stallion.
- [20:22] * Wishing_Well trots out to the various items, and checks his memory to make sure he'd gotten pictures of everything. He turns his ever-present smile to the ponies on the other side of the police tape.
- [20:23] * Scribbles draws her attention to the wine gl-To the smiling stallion looking right at her. "Hello?" She says with an awkward wave of the hoof.
- [20:23] * Kopesh thinks a moment. "Hmm, so we have a pony that disappeared after drawing from a cask that contained something out of the Everfree Forest. Where's Scribbles?"
- [20:23] <~Headlong> Giddy's astounding powers of observation tell him that these drag marks are not anywhere that a cask of such magnitude could be moved. Dust around the bottom of the cask confirms that it was not moved.
- [20:24] * Bonnet puts her hoof on Cabernet's shoulder and gives a little sigh, "I know... I know... Like I said, you should have seen the train ride out... they nearly got arrested... Just try not to think about it too hard."
- [20:24] * Giddy frowns. "Or it could've been the mare- wait, shit, it was a stallion- that got dragged for some reason." He whispered.
- [20:26] <~Headlong> Cabernet nods slowly. "Right... it just seems kind of... odd. They don't, and pardon me for saying this, well, /look/ like actors."
- [20:26] * Kopesh stops and turns around to go back. Bonnet can handle her cousin. "I want to take a look."
- [20:27] * Bonnet giggles softly and nods a little, keeping her voice down, "I know... I'm not too sure how well their show is going to pan out myself... But hey, either way, I'm still getting paid, so I don't mind."
- [20:28] * Wishing_Well gives a short bow. "Hello, hello." he responds, pushing his camera into a more comfortable position. "So, another pony interested in the mysterious?" he questions, chuckling.
- [20:28] <~Headlong> Bonnet's cousin points to Giddy. "You didn't... /make/ that, did you? It looks... erm..." He whispers. "Tacky."
- [20:29] * Scribbles nods, giving a smile as she reaches a realization. "You can't be part of forensic team. You're too cheerful for someone who deals in messy crimes for a living."
- [20:31] * Giddy looks very, very cross, very, very quickly. He tries to control himself. "... I'm a racer. This is my jacket."
- [20:33] <~Headlong> Cabernet looks even more confused. "So... you're an actor playing a racer? Or a racer playing a forensic investigator? I don't think I understand."
- [20:33] * Wishing_Well rubs the back of his head with a hoof. "I suppose you're not from here, but, of course you aren't." he says shrugging. "I'm from the ECS, Equestrian Cryptozoology Society. I study anomolous occurrances."
- [20:33] * Bonnet shakes her head, "Oh no, since this is just an informal outing I had them leave the costumes at home, wouldn't do to get them ruined before the show, now would it?"
- [20:34] * Giddy puffs a little. "I'm a racer who is a racer, thank you very much. Giddy Up. Rally Racing circuit."
- [20:34] <~Headlong> Cabernet shakes the thoughts from his heads. "Bonney... Are you lying to me?"
- [20:36] * Scribbles reaches a hoof across the police line for Wishing to shake. "Scribbles McPrint. I'm here looking for some inspiration on my next novel."
- [20:37] * Kopesh looks at Giddy. "What the hell is it with ponies and dress codes? Like it's illegal to wear a damn jacket."
- [20:38] * Bonnet turns slowly to look between her companions, looks back to Cabernet, and then down at her filled bottle. With a resigned sigh, she upends the entire thing, gulping it down.
- [20:39] <~Headlong> Cabernet pats his cousin on the shoulder. "Whatever it is, Bonney, I'm sure that it's more important than my tour. I'll leave you all in peace, if you'd like."
- [20:39] * Wishing_Well shakes the mare's hoof. "Wishing Well, a pleasure." he says, tilting his head. "Just inspiration? If I heard correctly, this was hardly close by."
- [20:40] * Kopesh finds his way back to the crime scene, wanting to see the evidence again.
- [20:40] * Giddy just shrugs and sighs. He didn't want to bother him. "Keep the tour going, keep the tour going." He said in a low tone, rolling his hoof.
- [20:41] <~Headlong> Kopesh finds the evidence clearly labelled. There is one chalk outline, as well, where witness have (presumably) said that Quarter disappeared. It's quite close to the scuffs.
- [20:41] * Scribbles scratches the back of her head. "Well. The winery was supposed to just be a setting, the dissapearance here is, pretty much, a coincidence."
- [20:43] * Bonnet pulls back after draining half the bottle, taking a few deep breaths. She looks back at the other ponies, "Lets them have their fun... I'd still like to see the rest..."
- [20:45] <~Headlong> Cabernet gives a sincere smile. "No, no Bonnet. Whoever they are, they'll need you too. You know this place better than any of them, so... help them for me. And for Quarter, all right?"
- [20:45] * Kopesh looks over the scene looking to see how all of the pieces fit together.
- [20:46] * Wishing_Well nods. "Well, I suppose it would be an interesting place to set a novel... Mystery especially." he says, looking back at the rows of casks.
- [20:48] * Scribbles brings her attention back to the shattered wine glass, "I take it you haven't read any of my novels, then."
- [20:49] * Wishing_Well chuckles. "Probably not. Spent a lot of time reading folklore and history... Some books on urban legends here and there too." he says, sighing.
- [20:51] * Bonnet sighs and gives the slightest nod, "Yeah... I'll try..."
- [20:52] <~Headlong> Cabernet retreats back up the stairs. "There's a phone that leads to my office on the wall over there, if you need anything."
- [20:55] <~Headlong> Scribbles can tell that, by the direction of the shards and their proximity to Quarter's last known location, that he was probably holding at the time of his disappearance.
- [20:57] * Scribbles shakes her head, pushing way the idea of self-defence with the glass. Next item on the list, the cart. Scribbles guessed it was being pushed or pulled along the tour, the location of the glass shards favoring pull.
- [20:59] <~Headlong> Scribbles sees that the cart was likely holding the glasses used for sampling. In a compartment that's slightly ajar, she notices a spot for ten glasses. Two are missing. There's a spigot on top of the cart, undoubtably used for tasting also.
- [21:00] * Kopesh looks at the blood and the broken glass, they seem oddly seperate.
- [21:01] * Giddy looked Cabernet right in the eyes. Right, then. He took that as a incentive to drop the formalities. He went over to the cask and checked it out a little.
- [21:02] * Scribbles deduces the cart was a standard part of the tasting tour, and where one of the glasses currenty rested in pieces.
- [21:03] <~Headlong> The cask stands nearly twelve feet high, made of high quality oak wood, and held together with three massive iron bands. They each stand on a base designed to accomodate them lying on their sides. There's a little wine dripping out from the seal, suggesting that a tasting had occurred, and that the plug had been replaced quickly.
- [21:05] * Wishing_Well just watches the other ponies, his expression unchanging. "Fellow novelists, or just an odd tourgroup?" he asks Scribbles.
- [21:06] * Scribbles looks up at her companions. "One's family of the owner, who's treated all of us to the trip here."
- [21:08] * Bonnet gave Cabernet a half-hearted wave before turning back to her companions. She tries pouring over what she'd overheard, but can't make any sense of it. The coolness of her wings suddenly uncomforting, she unceremoniously removes them, stuffing them into her pack before walking a little closer tot he scene.
- [21:08] * Kopesh looks at Scribbles. "Had any break throughs?"
- [21:08] * Wishing_Well nods. "Hmm, interesting." he muses, looking over the scene again.
- [21:09] <~Headlong> The mission phone, wherever it is, rings.
- [21:12] * Kopesh pulls it out of a pocket. "Hello."
- [21:12] <~Headlong> It's Task. "Kopesh, deary, who's that buck travelling with you? The one with the camera, that is."
- [21:13] * Scribbles takes this moment to ponder over the facts and possibilities.
- [21:14] * Wishing_Well flicks an ear at the ringing phone, but doesn't turn his head. "A strange event, this..." he says, sighing as he mulls over everything.
- [21:14] * Kopesh doesn't know how she knows that since they just met, well the others have met him, but knows better than to ask. He looks at Wishing_Well. "Exuse me, but who are you?"
- [21:17] * Wishing_Well turns to Kopesh, looking the changeling up and down. "My name is Wishing Well, like I told the lady with you, I'm from the ECS." he replies. "Why? Is something the matter?"
- [21:18] <~Headlong> While looking at Wishing_Well, Kopesh can see that a pony his size could stand in the chalk outline and have their hooves touch the ends of the scuff marks.
- [21:19] <Kopesh> "Not sure." He speaks into the phone. "Wishing_Well from the ECS."
- [21:20] <~Headlong> Task is probably scrunching her muzzle a little. "Has... has he done anything at all? Has he seen anything? Have you told him anything, deary?"
- [21:21] <Kopesh> "I haven't told him anything. I don't know what he's been looking the scene over and I don't know what anyone else has told him."
- [21:21] <Kopesh> seen*
- [21:23] <~Headlong> Task exhales a little. "Well... Good! Keep it that way..." She says to somepony near her. "It's the ECS again... Yes... Yes ma'am. Sure. I'll let them now." Task moves her mouth closer to her microphone. "Mr. Kopesh, dear, if you can, get that buck to come back with you."
- [21:23] <Kopesh> "Ok. Do you have any information that would help?"
- [21:24] * Scribbles walks around the crime scene once more, drawing in what she can.
- [21:24] * Wishing_Well raises an eyebrow. "I surely haven't done anything worth talking about..." he says, partly to himself. He fiddles with his camera, taking a few final shots of the entire scene.
- [21:27] <~Headlong> Task clicks her tongue. "Sorry, deary, but this was /my/ extra call this week. I'm afraid I'll have to call you when I get my next paycheck... Good luck out there!"
- [21:28] * Kopesh thinks that doesn't makes sense, but again has learned not to question. "Ok. Thank you."
- [21:30] <~Headlong> The phone clicks as it's hung up, and Kopesh can return to his revalation.
- [21:30] * Scribbles looks up at Kopesh, hearing him conclude the conversation.
- [21:31] * Giddy wishes he smoked. Smoking would help relieve stress here. He raises his eyebrow at the hastily-placed cork. "... Anyone care for a drink?"
- [21:35] * Scribbles brings her attention to the cork, smiling as that knot is tied in favor of tasting recently ending before the dissapearance. "Does anypony else want to throw their bits in on this?"
- [21:35] * Kopesh puts the phone away and looks at the marks. "Does anyone know what made these marks?
- [21:37] * Scribbles looks down at the scuff marks. "Only two things could make those, and that's if we're calling our tasting group a few lighthearted panic bombs with legs."
- [21:37] * Giddy just kind of smiles at what Scribbles said.
- [21:44] <~Headlong> Scribbles sees what the others have observed. They're darker and more defined the farther they get from the chalk outline.
- [21:46] * Scribbles smiles still, comfirming that the marks where made by Quarter's attempts to not get dragged away.
- [21:46] <Kopesh> "Did he just disappear or did he get dragged first?"
- [21:47] <Kopesh> "He must have got pulled to maybe an opening of some kind."
- [21:47] * Scribbles nods, bringing a hoof to follow the marks. "Either away or towards the casks, my guess is towards."
- [21:48] <~Headlong> The police officer returns from his extended urination and resumes his post with a smile.
- [21:48] * Rime|Phone_ ([email protected]) has joined #FruityRumpusAssholeFactory
- [21:49] * Kopesh 's eyes follow the marks to a cask. "Had he drawn from that cask yet do you know?"
- [21:49] * Scribbles nods. "I don't know about you lot, but all this talk of wine is making me hungry."
- [21:50] * Wishing_Well nods. "Definitely towards the casks." he says, nodding at the officer as he returns.
- [21:50] * Rime|Phone ([email protected]) Quit ( Ping timeout: 121 seconds )
- [21:50] * Rime|Phone_ is now known as Rime|Phone
- [21:50] <~Headlong> Kopesh observes what Giddy did earlier. The cork on the cask has been hastily replaced, implying that a sampling took place. There was also that spigot on top of the cart...
- [21:52] * Kopesh turns to Bonnet. "Can you get your cousin?"
- [21:53] <~Headlong> It's evident that this police officer doesn't care what they are doing.
- [21:57] * Bonnet nods a little and walks slowly over to the phone her cousin had pointed out, dialing him up on it slowly and waving Kopesh over.
- [21:58] <~Headlong> Cabernet picks up the phone after one dial tone. "Yes?"
- [21:58] * Kopesh walks over.
- [22:00] * Bonnet shifts the phone a little, "Hi, Cabernet... it's Bonnet. One of the ponies wanted to ask you a few more things, if it's okay."
- [22:00] * Rime|Phone ([email protected]) Quit ( Quit: Colloquy for iPhone - http://colloquy.mobi )
- [22:00] <~Headlong> Cabernet takes a deep breath. "Sure thing, Bonney. Give them the phone."
- [22:01] * Bonnet nods and holds the phone out to Kopesh.
- [22:03] * Kopesh takes it. "Have you gotten any new equipment recently?"
- [22:03] <~Headlong> Cabernet audible "Hmmmmmmmms." "No... not in a long while."
- [22:04] <~Headlong> "We've been using traditional storage units and production unitsfor years."
- [22:05] <Kopesh> "You sure? No new spigots or materials for casks?"
- [22:06] <~Headlong> Cabernet shakes his head. "Well... one of our other tour guides had this old spigot he liked to show the guests, but he'd never /use/ it. It was filthy."
- [22:08] <Kopesh> "Which tour guide?"
- [22:10] <~Headlong> Cabernet flips some papers. "Tie Dye. She's our newest tour guide and wine-maker. If you're thinking that she's part of this, I can confirm that she wasn't here on the day of Quarter's disappearance..."
- [22:11] <Kopesh> "Did she take the spigot home or leave it here?"
- [22:15] <~Headlong> Cabernet hmmms. "She kept it in... her glass cart. Should be on that floor somewhere."
- [22:16] * Kopesh looks at the cart. "I think I know where. Thank you for the help."
- [22:21] <~Headlong> Kopesh and Scribbles can hear quite clearly what definitely sounds like the muffled cries of a stallion barely clinging to life, coming from directly beneath their hooves.
