  1. To begin, it doesn't make sense that Jarvis 'dies', or breaks, or however you want to say it.
  2.
  3. First, the movie shows Jarvis die/break after he takes Stark to Tennessee, and it's linked implicitly to the massive damage sustained by the suit and to Stark's home. The fact that Jarvis' health is correlated with the destruction of Stark's house is eliminated when it shows the child repairing Jarvis THROUGH the Mark42 suit. So that only leaves the suit.
  4.
  5. (Side note: who the fuck is this kid and why can he so easily repair Jarvis, which as every knows is an incredibly advanced AI system, more advanced than ANYTHING ever created by men, both in Stark's world and our world)
  6.
  7. Now, the entire time Stark has been suitless, he's had 41 other suits beneath his house. It seems to me all he'd have to do is get to his house, wake the suits, and march on the Mandarin headquarters instead of going alone. "BUT WAIT" you say, "JARVIS IS DEAD AND STARK NEEDS JARVIS TO RUN SUITS IN AUTOPILOT". Even if it wasn't a viable solution, Stark could have at least hopped into another suit and piloted it manually to the Mandarin hide out.
  8.
  9. Now turn your attention to the last fight. Stark gives a command, I forget which, and all of the suits respond with Jarvis' voice. Stark never had time to reinsert the repaired Jarvis into the suits which suggests a copy of Jarvis' programming was pre-installed on every suit, much like an operating system on a computer. You can't tell me that isn't common sense to assume...
  10.
  11. To sum up, it's ludicrous to say Jarvis is "housed" in a single suit, especially since the Mark42 was a prototype, as mentioned several times. It would have made sense to assume Jarvis was "housed" physically in Stark's own house, but as stated, Jarvis was repaired from the Mark42 suit.
  12.
  13. As a side note: I laughed SO HARD when the suit attacked Pepper, not once but twice. I laughed when it choked her out when they were in bed at the beginning. I laughed EXTRA hard when it attacked her because Stark's earpiece was removed from his ear, especially when you know for a fact that can't be the only way to communicate with Jarvis. Anyone can talk to Jarvis inside his home, I'm positive people have been able to communicate with Jarvis by speaking to the suit, it's just stupid.

  17. Secondly, I'm exceptionally irked by Iron Man 3's cheap plot quirks.
  18.
  19. Stark's anxiety attacks are stupid. I can see maybe they're trying to add plot drama by afflicting Stark's character with a prevalent disability, just to complicate things. However, the disability has NO effect on the main plot. He has three anxiety attacks, recovers, and everything goes on as if nothing ever happened. It made for a nice shock factor when the boy in the restaurant whispered "I see you made it out of the wormhole" or something, it gave me the shivers. I expected this anxiety attack to be followed through with some reason besides "oh, nope. stark is just losing his shit because he nearly got caught in space thousands of lightyears away lol". I expected the Mandarin to be behind the so-called anxiety. And I'll get to the goddamn Mandarin later.
  20.
  21. Another thing is the child. He's fucking annoying, a shitty actor as far as child actors go, and his part in the movie made no sense. First, don't come at me with "he did as well as a 12 year old boy could be expected to". I've only got one thing to say to that: Dakota Fanning. Brilliant child actor. Absolutely brilliant, and not the only one either. Second, it makes no sense this boy can fix or build on Stark's level, Jarvis for example. NO sense. Just because he can, what... make a potato gun? SHITDOG WATCH OUT, WE GOTTA BADASS OVER HERE.jpg. Lastly, and to reiterate, his acting. is. shit.
  22.
  23. Maya Hanson. Why didn't she go through with killing herself when Killian shot her? No one dies that fast unless it's a shot to the head, and it wasn't. So it was a cheap bluff, without the movie even acknowledging it was. It would have been fine if Killian had first waited or instigated Hanson on, to see if she actually would, THEN kill her when she didn't. but no. She's a fucking coward. Whatever redeeming qualities of her character, no matter that she had a change of heart, she's now and forever a SHIT character. What a waste of a main role.
  24.
  25. Why did the Extremis syrum make Killian hot? It changed NONE of the appearances of the other soldiers. Ridiculous.
  26.
  27. Last, but not least, and almost certainly worst: The Mandarin. Fuck you, whoever wrote this story line. An actor? REALLY? I'm at a loss for words. Half of my excitement, now in vain, was to see how bad ass this character could be. I wanted him to be as legendary as Bane from batman, or Lex Luthar from Superman. Fuck, The Goblin Senior from fucking spiderman was cooler than this stupid supervillian, and Killian by extension.
  28.
  29.
  30.
  31. Last I want to rant about is the imbalance between a character's power, and the ease at which to dispatch them.
  32.
  33. The Extremis soldiers are supposed to be indestructible except by heat greater than 3000 degrees. Why does a shot from Stark's suit's hand punch a hole through the leader Extremis soldier (w/e his name was), and he died, when the very same tactic simply had no effect on any other Extremis? There are just so many instances where Extremis soldiers should not have died, but did.
  34.
  35. Why can the Extremis Soldiers decimate Stark's home with a few helicopters? Why is the US military not helping? Why does Stark's house not have any protection? Why doesn't he call out the other 41 suits to defend himself (and especially thing, he was never out of contact with Jarvis, his entire house hosted Jarvis, he could have envoked "house party" at any time).
  36.
  37. Why is Pepper Potts stronger than Killian? She's never had combat training, why can she suddenly do all of this amazing action? I understand she's super strong due to the Extremis syrum, but strength without skill is absolutely ineffective. ANYONE could tell you that. Watch any martial arts movie. Jet Li, tiny little fucker, has dropped 8 ft, 500 pound enemies SEVERAL TIMES, because it makes sense. "The bigger they are, the harder they fall". COME NOW.
