It's an old version that I tested with BIOS. Runs well for me on 2x@32 layers. Newest version of Demul dips to 20 fps for no reason.
No additional setting up is needed, just switch video plugin to DX11old if you want to increase internal resolution.
And maybe increase Buffer in Sound plugin.

Demul requires a shitton of power and VRAM to run at 3x with 64 layers.

If it'll crash while playing - stick either with 2x@32 or 3x@32.

There's a New Widescreen for S2, that has no clipping at all, only a few glitches:
- smoke and steam effects, they somehow become misaligned with their objects, e.g. the kettle steam , and smoke from the ships chimneys at the end,.
- during the end sequence, the sea flickers and disappears in a couple of the cuts. hardly a problem
- cutscenes are a bit zoomed it, but it doesn't break anything http://i.imgur.com/WLXrtkR.png  game does not use an universal address for the BB, so it's impossible to remove them

And an old widescreen with clipping.
