  1. Alright, here are the instructions and info on Ambience on WMP12...
  2. To install the Ambience, Plenoptic etc. copy the NONDXE.DLL file from the ZIP file into C:\Windows\System32.
  3. If you have a 64-bit Windows, DO NOT COPY IN THE SYSTEM32! It will not work, but instead copy into C:\WMP12.
  4. Run a CMD Prompt as an administrator. Navigate to the System32 directory on both x86 and x64 systems.
  5. On the x86 system, type in: Regsvr32 C:\Windows\System32\NONDXE.DLL
  6. If you get no errors (or a message DllRegisterServer in C:\WMP12\NONDXE.DLL Succeeded, or similar), you installed Ambience successfully.
  7. For x64 systems do the same thing but instead type: Regsvr32 C:\WMP12\NONDXE.DLL. If you get the same message like in x86 systems, you
  8. installed Ambience successfully. Currently settings of the visualizations are not working, but I am working on it to make it work properly. Please do not use this on WMP11 as it will produce big problems!
  9. There are 4 more files and 1 more folder in the ZIP file:
  10. MUSCOL7.DLL - Musical Colors from WMP7 (Windows Millennium Edition)
  11. MUSCOL8.DLL - Musical Colors from WMP8 (Windows XP SP0, SP1)
  12. The difference between the two is that MUSCOL7.DLL has WinMe 3D and MUSCOL8.DLL has Ice Crystals as the last visualisation in Musical Colors.
  13. New folder includes skins from WMP8 (Atomic, Bluesky etc.)
  14. To install a skin, just double click it and you're done!
  15. To install a Musical Colors pack, do the same procedure as the Ambience pack.
  16. ALCHEMY.DLL is there if you accidentally removed Alchemy but want it back: again, the same procedure as the Ambience pack.
  17. Remember that this is the first version of this pack, and it will be WAY more improved through the time.
  18. To remove these packs just do the same procedure as uninstalling but instead of Regsvr32 <file path> use Regsvr32 /u <file path>.
