Pinkie and the Queen Part 1

>Our favorite Party planner Pony, Pinkie Pie.Is in the middle of the Everfree forest. with only her saddlebag with food and sweets to accompany her. And her Party cannon. Which inexplicably appears whenever the plot demands it.
> Why this setting? it isn't clear, even to Pinkie. She had received numerous letters over the course of a week of somepony desperately in need of her help.
>Pinkie was of course saddened by the contents of the letters. But had no idea what to do about it since she had no way of locating or even writing back to the sender. As the letters themselves were unknown to the mailmare. It seems they were just dropped off to her door directly.
> But it wasn't until just today that she finally received a letter to meet this pony. The contents of the letters themselves spelled out that this poor pony was in desperate need of not only friendship, but to understand the very concept of it. Whoever this pony was, Pinkie would not hesitate to fix this a grievous problem.
>if..she could figure out where she was and where she was heading at this point...

>Pinkie look around her current area. with nothing but dense trees,bushes, and vines every which way. She's lucky she hasn't run into any of the forest's monsters...eyt.
>She rubbed her chin
"Gee, it's a good thing I havn't run into any monsters yet! I only really have enough food for me and ummm...."
>She wanted to say a name for it to atleast seem she knew who this mysterious pony was. But a name was never given.
"I don't even know which forest clearing he or she meant. hmmm, i've already been to atleast fifty.I didn't even know the everfree had that many.....I wonder if it looks like polka dots way up high!"
>She giggled to herself as she continued forward.
> suddenly, she notices another clearing. and heads towards it with an enthusiastic bounce.
"You know what they say, fifty first try is the charm!"
>She entered the clearing, it was a big one this time. like a section where the forest didn't exist. despite it being completely surrounded by it.
>Pinkie hopped in the middle of the clearing, she was alittle tired. So she put down her saddlebag onto the ground as she looked around for any sign of life before digging in for a treat.
"Helllloooo! Anypony out there! It's me Pinkie! I want to be your friend!"
>she said it with a happy giggle. and for a moment, the surrounding forest got quieter. Pinkie didn't notice however, how could she? she's already been in the forest for quite awhile now.
>She shrugged and opened her saddlebag, and reached her nose in for a cupcake. when suddenly...
>a voice came from the bushes "Hrm? hmm....hmm ahrm" it sounded like it was clearing it's throat.
>Pinkie stood to attention, and immediatly eyed the now shaking bushes, and smiled. ready for what could possibly be the pony she had been searching for.
"Hello! Is it you mister or miss mysterious pony?! it's me Pinkie Pie!"

>whoever that was, it seemed like he or she was trying to speak. but was having trouble getting the words out.
>Pinkie drew alittle closer to the bush.
"Don't be afraid! even if you aren't who I am looking for, I'll be your friend! just come on out! i gottttt cuppccaaakkkeeesss!"
>Pinkie said sing-songily?
>the bush almost seemed disgusted with that fact, with a small gruff.
>Finally, with one final gruff. and an odd green shine that appeared and disappeared in a split moment. A small white female pony, with fur as white as snow. and blue,twin pigtail manes came out of the bush. Her eyes were of bright green, and her cutie mark was that of...a bush? Maybe she just liked bushes..alot. she seemed rather shy.
>Pinkie beamed at her, this pony had to be it.
"Hiiii!"
>Pinkie waved at her to come closer
"Are you the pony who kept sending me notes?"
>The shy, green eyed beauty inched closer, carefully. "y-yes...it was I", her voice was soft, and seemingly elegant.
>Pinkie giggled and immediatly started hopping around her
"Yes! I knew it! I knew i'd find you if I kept looking hard enough!"
>The pony, despite looking shy. didn't seem to react to this intrusive hopping, or her words. she merely stared
>Pinkie stopped infront of her and immediatly held out her hoof
"I'm Pinkie Pie! You're new friend! And who are you miss mysterious pony!"
>The pony just stared at the hoof, then back at her face. It seemed she was trying to come up with a name "mm...I'm...bush.....bush"
"Bush Bush?...or Bush? Either is fine, they are both nice names!"
>Pinkie beamed as Bush...or Bush bush stood there. "umm...hmm..Bush will be fine."
"Bush then! So Bush, how about a cupcake! to finalize our friendship! it's reallllyyyy yummmmyyyy"
>Bush seemed rather puzzled "Friends already? But we havn't even talked yet. or do...other friend things. I don't taste anything at all"

"That's because I can tell we already are gonna be great friends. as for taste! well...you need to have the cupcake in your mouth silly. like this!"
>Pinkie grabbed a cupcake and threw it into the air with a spin,and caught it in her mouth.
"See? now you try!"
>Pinkie held another cupcake towards Bush.
>Bush merely eyed it. "perhaps...later, I'd actually like to talk to you about friendship...and learning some of it"
>Pinkie frowned
>"Why are you frowning like that, I'd think you'd have been overjoyed to do this" Bush again was puzzled.
>Pinkie stepped back a small bit.
"it's just.....it's really sad knowing you are so alone. it breaks my heart, I can see it on your face. On the outside you seem ok. But on the inside....mnn....."
>a small compassionate smile began to form on Pinkie's face
"I'd be glad and honored to teach you everything I know"
>Bush didn't seem at all phased by any of Pinkie's reaction, and started to speak more monotonely, with a hint of annoyance "Ahh...good then. And, as I hear. You are good at keeping promises, you never break them if I am to be correct. Could you promise to show this to me? Just incase....anything happens?" She suddenly beamed a soft yet highly uncomfortable smile
"Of course, I Pinkie Promise!"
>"Pinkie Promise?"
>Pinkie nodded, and showed her what exactly that kind of promise entailed. with the gestures and code of honor that came with it.
>"hmm, I see....so you'll never break it?" Bush's face suddenly became darker, her expression almost seemed to become more evil.
"Never ever ever ever ever! Not for any reason! Nope!"
>Pinkie nodded and held the cupcake closer.
"Ready to eat now?"
>Bush eyed the cupcake and licked her lips. "Oh no, I just had a small snack"
>Pinkie pulled back the cupcake and smiled.
"Oh ok....wait, whatcha eat? was it yummy? cannnn I have sommmee?"
>Suddenly green flames encircled just outside the clearing. as Bush started to cackle.

>Pinkie looked around, and started to feel rather uneasy, and slowly chuckled with Bush.
"ha...haha....What are we laughing at?"
>Bush stopped laughing and stared at Pinkie "Are you seriously that stupid?" there was more annoyance with a hint of arrogance in her voice "Don't you realize who I am?"
>Pinkie stopped laughing, and gave her a good hard stare
"ummmmmm.....no, was I supposed to? And what's with the fire? I didn't know you did pyrotechnics. I think my good old party cannon does the trick just nice actually."
>Bush put her hoof in her face, flabbergasted "That's actually magic, MY magic."
>Pinkie stared hard at her head
"Really? because I don't see a horn anywhere"
>Bush's eye's began to glow as she slowly smiled. "Perhaps my disguise worked too well, you didn't even notice that I had eaten nothing physical, very well I shall show you my true form!"
>Bush cackled as she glowed, her body shifting into that of a changeling. And not just any Changeling. The queen of the changelings herself.
>"IT IS I, QUEEN CHRYSALIS!! HAHAHAHAHA" She cackled evilly.
>Pinkie didn't run, or showed any actual fear. she just seemed annoyed. "Ok...so...um....how was I supposed to guess it was you again?"
>Chrysalis seemed rather surprised "Are you telling me you couldn't guess any of my obvious tells? I was certain you'd realise it at some point."
>Pinkie just sat there puzzled "Why would you give off any tells? and umm, why would you even want me to guess. I mean, you weren't really good at giving any tells at all really. How was I even supposed to know you ate anything. I just got here, you know."

>The queen stopped to think and started to monologue "Hrmm, I suppose I didn't do it all too well. You can't expect me to be perfect at such a thing. I'm much better at making sure nopony can figure out who I am.....in anycase, now that this stupid little exchange is over. it's time to..." She looked at Pinkie, who was staring at her with a vacant expression "Are you ignoring me?"
>Chrysalis tapped Pinkie
>Pinkie fell to the ground, some stuffing coming out of her neck.
>Chrysalis just stared "...........when did she?"
>The real Pinkie was busy running the other direction, using the time the queen used to make her explanation to pull the bait and switch, and had bravely jumped through the flames.
>Pinkie ran as fast as she could. aslong as the queen didn't see where she was running. then that atleast has to mean she can get far away...or so she thought.
>"So you thought you could TRICK ME!!!" The queen appeared through a puff of green flames infront of Pinkie, making her drop to a dead stop.
>Pinkie tried to make a turn, but was surrounded again by a smaller ring of green flames, rising much higher than before.
>The queen began to circle her, snickering "Why are you running anyway? I do believe we made a pact. a Pinkie Promise...as it were."
>Pinkie stood, and stared at her with a brave face "You tricked me for that promise! I don't even know what you want with friendhsip you big meanie! as if I'd ever teach it to you so you could do....evil...ummm...STUFF!"
>The queen cackled "Is that anyway to treat your new friend? I'm quite hurt really" she snickered at her.
"You aren't my friend, just a villain who wants to take Equestria for herself! And if you think I'm going to help you, then you're nuttier than a fruitcake!"
>The queen pushed her face against' Pinkie's knocking her to her back as she stared straight into her eyes "And the Pinkie Promise? you would uphold it at all? you'll break it? Because as I've heard, you never break such promises"

"I...I...I made that thinking you were some other pony. You can't just.."
>Pinkie seemed unsure, she didn't want to break such a promise. a Promise she had been ready to make when she thought Chrysalis was Bush. But it seemed like it had to be done, she just...had to force herself.
>"Oh but I can! And I did mean what I said, I wish to know everything there is about friendship....And I knew you'd be the one to answer that calling if I just wrote the letters to tug at your pathetic little heart" She began to circle Pinkie, triumphantly.
>Pinkie looked straight up, thinking of anothe rplan of escape "Why would somepony like you even want to know about friendship anyway? It's not like it'd help somepony like you!"
>Chrysalis stopped. and slowly turned away. "Why?...." She didn't look back at Pinkie, as the flames suddenly began to die down. it seemed her concentration was suddenly weakening. "Why?..."
>She looked back, her expression was suddenly that of one with sorrow "Because I...."
>Suddenly she noticed another Pinkie doll on the ground, she snorted, wondering where the hell she was getting all those dolls from. "......."
>Pinkie again, the real Pinkie, was in a mad dash in the other direction.
>However she didn't get very far. As the queen again appeared directly infront of her. she seemed heavily annoyed, as Pinkie screeched again to a halt.
>Chrysalis leered down at Pinkie as she drew closer "Will you atleast allow me to finish before you run off like that! It's making me very very angry!" she said as her crooked horn crackled in green light.
>Pinkie wasn't going to take it at this point. Running wasn't working, and she was out of options. it was time to be assertive!
"No! Because you are a big evil bug thing! that wants nothing more but to make every other pony miserable with your badness!"
>Pinkie stood, and began pointing her hoof at Chrysalis, she actually started to back up as Pinkie stepped up before her.

"Why would I ever EVER help such a big meanie pants like you!"
>Chrysalis fell back as Pinkie pressed her hoof on her nose, her plot falling to the ground as she stared at Pinkie. Her expression becoming that of a weak dog. Even Pinkie noticed something off, she was able to knock her down with such a weak tap.
>Chrysalis sighed, she wasn't getting anywhere with this. She was already realizing, with a large probably, why this was going nowhere."Because..."
>Pinkie's face made contact with her, as she brought her right eye close to Chrysalis's eyes.
"Becaussssseeeee?!"
>Chrysalis pulled her head back, and then sighed and looked down in defeat "Because I am in actual...need of your help." she gritted her teeth to that remark, it seemed almost painful to say.
>Pinkie didn't really seem to buy it. Her acting all evil to suddenly being passive? She knew she was capable of putting up a good enough act to even fool Princess Celestia. The only thing Pinkie couldn't figure out is why her? and how could friendship be used as a weapon? or maybe she just wanted to use her to goad her friends into a trap.
"I don't...I don't believe you!..nope, not one itty bitty bit"
>Chrysalis cringed at those words. Because in truth, she was in need of her help. or to be exact. Her entire hive was in need of it.
>Chrysalis just sat in place. Thinking of anything within her knowledge to convince Pinkie. "But what about the promise? surely you wouldn't..."
>Pinkie stopped her
"I made that promise to Bush, and you aren't her and.."
>Chrysalis stood up in anger "WHAT DO YOU MEAN I'M NOT BUSH?! I AM BUSH! AND BUSH IS ME! IT WAS A DISGUISE, YOU MADE THAT PROMISE TO ME! NOW KEEP IT YOU..YOU INSUFFERABLE LITTLE WRETCH!"
>Pinkie didn't fall back this time, no, instead she tested something by pushing her hoof back at chrysalis, it again knocked her to her plot. Something....was amiss.
"Hey? When did you get so weak anyway? I remember you being lots lots stronger."

> Chrysalis quickly stood up "WEAK?! I'LL SHOW YOU WEAK YOU LITTLE...."
>Chrysalis's horn flickered as she covered Pinkie in green flames.
>Pinkie at first fell back, but....she felt nothing. only alittle bit of warmth. When she realised she was ok, she started to move her hoof around the flame. None of it hurt, none of it burned.
"Was...was this supposed to hurt?"
>Chrysalis tried her best to make it burn hotter, but to no avail. she certainly was weaker than she was long ago.The fire slowly flickered out. revealing Pinkie again as she fell on her belly.
>"Curses....I'm weaker than ever before." she said to herself as she looked at Pinkie "......I..."
>Chrysalis stopped for a moment. it almost seemed crazy to her now. she was about to actually beg to the crazy pink horse.Even if Pinkie didn't realize, the situation for her was quite desperate. "..I...I...I really....ahrm...mmnngh"
>Chrysalis took a moment to clear her throat, and lowered her voice. "I, need your....expertise"
>Chrysalis didn't go any further than that, already feeling embarassed and humiliated. as she looked down in shame, Pinkie appeared to have said nothing.
>Chrysalis looks up again, and notices Pinkie being very still. "I swear...if it's another doll, I'll...I'LL..."
>But it wasn't, Pinkie was really deep in thought.She looked down at Chrysalis.
"Do you really need my help?"
>Chrysalis said nothing, turning her head away.
>Pinkie inched her face closer, now realizing Chrysalis was in no position to take her on. And if she was here in person, then whatever it was. must actually be important.
"Welllll?"
>Pinkie booped her nose on the queen's.
>Chrysalis quickly backed up, confused at the gesture "What are you doing?!"
>Pinkie drew closer, a smile slowly widening on her face.
"Well? you said you needed my helllpp right? and..well, I did Pinkie Promise."
>Chrysalis reluctantly stepped back, half astonished, half confused "...well...yes...but, why are you looking at me like that?"

>Pinkie sat down
"Because, I believe you now"
>Chrysalis eyebrow raised, she was unsure of that "Now you believe me? I've been trying to tell you what I needed you for the whole time!"
>Pinkie looked up, and raised her hoof in a "matter-of-factly" type of way.
"Actualllyyy.....you were acting all evil and menacing while being very vague...I still don't know what you really want. But..."
>She put her hoof down and smiled
"If you are actually serious about friendship, and YOU Pinkie Promise not use it for anything evil......even though I can't think of anything you can really do evilly with friendship....Then I'll help you! But first! You got some explaining to do miss meanie bug pants!"
>Chrysalis was again feeling a huge amount of humiliation now that she wasn't even being seen as a threat. Though, she finally started to realize, perhaps that wasn't at all the best approach. Scaring her to do her bidding only made the situation worse for her. So she took a breath.
>".....very well" Chrysalis stood up, and flittered her jagged bug wings. "If you must know such detail-..."
>Pinkie stopped her, shaking her hoof.
"No no no, just such details. ALL details. I need to know everything if I'm going to help you. How can I help if you leave out any details. I mean, didn't you say we were friends now?"
>Chrysalis took a moment to think "I don't think I ever said...."
>Pinkie suddenly stood on her hind legs as she waved her front legs in the air, making a creepy face
"IS THAT ANYWAY TO TREAT YOUR NEW FRIENNDDD!"
>Chrysalis put her bughoof to her face "I don't..I don't think I said it that way"
>Pinkie sat back down and smiled
"I think you said it exactly that way! So, now that were friends, you gotta spill the dirt! or else I can't help!"
>Chrysalis sighed, and only took a small moment of silence as she stared at Pinkie. she felt nothing but shame and disgust. But it seemed she had no other choice now. "My hive...."
>She stopped
>Pinkie inched closer
"MHMMMMMM?"

>Chrysalis growled at Pinkie "Will you stop doing that?!"
>Pinkie inched back
"Doing what?"
>"That thing! that annoying thing that you keep doing!!!" Chrysalis "I demand you to stop this instance! I'm trying to explain to you that....."
>Chrysalis stopped as Pinkie suddenly held a cupcake towards her.
"You need to eat this too! You sorta forgot to eat it."
>Chrysalis just stared at the cupcake, and snatched it from Pinkie's hoof "Give me that, I'll eat it when I am ready to eat it....not when you tell me to! Now are you going to listen or not?!"
>Pinkie put her hoof to her ear and giggled "I'm all ears!"
>Chrysalis was feeling all kinds of feelings. Mostly various types of frustration. But if she didn't say what she had to say now, she was afraid she was just going to be stuck in the hellish limbo she found herself in. She took a breath, and started to speak in a softer tone
>"Now then....My hive, is in a rather dire situation. Love...has been harder and harder to come by now that we have had to hidden ourselves farther and farther from the Equestrian borders....and. Now that things are harder than ever before. It seems plotting against Equestria is no longer viable....My only option as queen of the hive is to beable to bring love and friendship within the hive itself. to sustain it....Do you understand? I'm desperate! and I can think of no other way to fix this problem but your horrific notions of love and caring!"
>Pinkie nodded
"Wow! I bet that took alot of guts to say that! I'm really impressed!"
>Chrysalis bared her fangs at her "Stop being so smug! ARGH! Why can't you be quiet and just abide by me and what I tell you!"

"Well...because that's not how friendship works. See, you're different from me, and I'm different from you! But, and this is a very important first friendship lesson, It's our differences and similarities that let us join together and learn about eachother and have fun and learn about one another. Theres probably alot of cool stuff we can learn about eachother and we can have all sorts of fun!"
>Chrysalis stays silent for a moment. She is processing the information. But she doesn't know how to respond to that. The last thing she wants however, is to not have Pinkie Pie being so dominant. ".....I doubt any of that actually matters, Now just tell me what I want to know!"
>Pinkie shook her head
"Can't do that yet! you gotta eat the cupcake first! and thheeennnnn...you gotta Pinkie Promise not to do ANNYYTTHINNGG you'd normally do..that..you know, would be a bad thing! got it?"
>Chrysalis smirked "And if I refuse?"
>Pinkie just silently stood up, and started walking away. Without saying a word.
>Chrysalis started to shake, her smirk slowly leaving her into that of worry "......w-....w-w-wait!.....You can't just leave! you said you'd help me! you can't just expect me to!...WAIT"
>Pinkie started to disappear into the forest, as Chrysalis started to feel scared, she slowly started to get up "Wait! WAIT! YOU CAN'T JUST...NGH...FINE FINE!" She looked down at the cupcake, and brought it up to her face, she silently stared as she began to sweat, bringing the cupcake closer to her lips.
>"....." she slowly opened her mouth, and took a lick of the cupcake. The taste to her was godawful, as she shivered and nearly dropped the baked goodie. "..she.....she can't expect me to..." She looked around, she couldn't see Pinkie at all anymore. "..ok...OK FINE!"
>She quickly stuffed the cupcake in her mouth, she started to gag as she chewed, and quickly swallowed the cupcake as quick as she could, nearly falling to the ground choking. It tasted so grotesque to her.

> she began to cough as she frantically began to look around for Pinkie "I DID IT...I DID IT OK! COME BACK..PLEASE..I NEED YOUR...OMPHF!" Suddenly, the beaten bugpone queen found herself face first into the dirt, as the familiar pink horse jumped and hugged her from behind.
"Yay! I knew you could do it if you tried!"
>Crysalis started to try to shake her off. "GET OFF OF ME BEFORE I DESTROY YOU!!!!"
>Pinkie grinned in delight, she knew she couldn't do any such thing.
"Nope, now you gotta Pinkie Promise. and then we can actually be friends. And believe me! You're going to have the best time you ever had!"
>Chrysalis stopped her struggling, giving up as she took a gigantic sigh. ".....maybe I should have let my entire race become extinct....." she said to herself. This was the beginning of the oddest friendship in Equestria.
