  1. This is an app for later on Sunday when Tier 3s become available for apping for. For the IC events detailed inside could take time to manifest.
  2.
  3. Key: Rhyneth
  4.
  5. Character: Jill Carver
  6.
  7. Skill(or transformation): Speedforce
  8.
  9. Reasoning: Jill has stagnated, that is pretty much the kicker of all this; stagnated not because of everyone else, not because she is weak but because she just doesn't... Exist, all too much, it has pretty much been her own fault too, but who could blame her, it was a result of the times. She has zero presence, she has less substance than everyone else, she is pretty much as close to a Zero as you can get in this school, it is horrifying. To exist yet not exist.
  10.
  11. So much so, that Brina? Someone who was once her best friend and still is, to a degree has finally taken note; they realise Jill isn't entirely all there, physically speaking.
  12.
  13. Nobody else did, nobody else figured it all out. From a loudmouthed brute, to a pest and then finally a docile, trembling... Non-existent victim. Jill has degraded, stagnated and fell behind; she is losing the race to 'perfection' and unfortunately for the girl, she is basically dangerously close to being left behind so harshly that the concept of catching up? Seems impossible and the idea of giving up? A very good one, to let it all go, to fade out entirely.
  14.
  15. That is, if this experiment of Brina's, doesn't succeed, Jill would finally be at her last legs; desperately hoping to find an answer to her question -- what could she become instead of a faded out zero amongst the school?
  16.
  17. The experiment Brina had planned was to simply anchor Jill to reality more, to prevent her from fading in and out more frequently thanks to her... Overuse of Zero Sign -- a supernatural talent of Jill's which was becoming more of a burden than a boon.
  18.
  19. Zero Sign, was the beginning and Brina's experiment and the side effects that followed would be the next step of it all; to not only stablise Jill and her talent, but to make it even more useful -- to maybe turn it into something... Else?
  20.
  21. The experiment ran by Brina of course, uses Jill as a living lab rat, or in her case, lab monkey. Unlike everyone else, she had over the course of the current term, developed a somewhat supernatural mutation called Zero Sign, she was the only who could become completely incorporeal -- developed by a wanton desire to simply not exist, to harness the ignorance and blindness of others to her own advantage, which had of course spiralled out of control, forcing her to miss classes, to lose out on opportunities to learn and grow like everyone else, and of course fight and train.
  22.
  23. Due to this, the girl had instead chased after scenes of emotion, things which would help her feel and therein turn help her regulate Zero Sign's horrid side-effects upon her form and ego, to stop the urge of becoming nothing becoming far too great -- it worked, but of course, forced Jill to stagnate even further, to lose sight of the real goal of being at Shiranai High; to grow as a student, to learn and to perform, including fighting those stronger than her as a test of her own will.
  24.
  25. But how does one such as Jill whom lacks strength and confidence, something which most of the other members of the school take for granted? How does Jill do this now?
  26.
  27. Brina granted her an answer, granted her a way.
  28.
  29. Since all of her actions did not leave a trace of evidence; stealing seemed as if someone had misplaced their belongings... Vandalism seemed as if someone... Something had occured -- take the smiley face on the fight club ring for example, nobody knew it was Jill, thanks to Zero Sign.
  30.
  31. And thus... If Brina's way worked, if the test was positive...?
  32.
  33. No longer would she need to constantly steal from others to fill that evergrowing empty void within her being, no longer would she chase after emotions, whether it made her happy or hurt. No longer would Jill need to abstain and avoid people... If she could finally hit the right spot, if this experiment paid off and the mutation took ahold -- Brina's biologically engineered mutation would result in not only Zero Sign being much more controllable and stable for Jill, but it'd allow her to exploit it in a most unusual manner; if the side-effects were of course, promising and useful!
  34.
  35. The experiment which Brina carried out, helped assign proper DNA to the Zero Sign sections which belonged to Jill, causing two seperate 'beings' to exist now, the living Jill and the 'ghost' Jill, either one of them could swap freely at any time, at Jill's leisure, herself and Zero Sign as it were. Such a thing was sure to cause side-effects down the road, which may of course include either desirable or undesirable happenings. Of course, now after the experiment, there were a few side-effects already apparent; the girl's movements being blurry, not faster but just blurry, as if the real her and the effects of Zero Sign had... Merged somehow, leaving behind a trace of evidence of her previous 'snapshot', ever-so-lightly.
  36.
  37. It was strange, for sure, but clearly, Brina had made a breakthrough right using Jill?
  38.
  39. Obviously the main side-effect desired would be, or moreso mutation would affect one thing: Speed.
  40.
  41. To become something less towards time; moving more within a second, to go faster than others, any other, to make time and motion less of a hinderance to Jill through the power of speed. After all she already harnesses the power of lightning around her being to increase her own momentum, so why not take it a step further? To close gaps, spaces in the blink of an eye, with rapid foot steps with sparks of static coming off, to accelerate her movement by making things like air resistance not matter to her? Gravity and weight? To be less existant as she moves.
  42.
  43. This was the idea, this was to make Jill something... Of what she wanted to become more akin to in the first place; to embrace speed and love it, like she did at the start of the year, to get back on track with who she was, albeit less as a troublemaker and more as someone who might be willing to keep the peace? Maybe?
  44.
  45. But... That's just a dream! Would the side-effect become that of Speedforce? Or would Jill end up becoming... Something else? Would she garner another talent which was unusual and frightening due to the results of this experiment and further mutation?!
  46.
  47. What is the moment: This isn't the moment, this is a THING leading UP to the moment and such.
