Mar 26 21:20:28 <Lena>	Pandora sat in the common room of San Fran, flipping through a magazine. The tv is on, some kind of reality tv that wasn't reality at all. Curled up  in a pair of white skinny jeans and a silk blouse, flats on her feet. Her long red hair is down. Every now and then she looks up at the tv and watches, shaking her head at what she sees.
Mar 26 21:23:53 <Knave>	Callum leans into the common room, largely out of curiosity. He hasn't looked in yet, and now's as good a time as any. He notices the girl inside, and considers ducking out before she notices him, then thinks better. He steps inside and raises a hand in greeting. "Hey."
Mar 26 21:29:14 <Lena>	Pandora looks up from her magazine when she hears someone and then smiles. She has a really pretty smile "Hi there" she closes the magazine so she didn't seem rude. "How are you? I don't think that I've seen you before."
Mar 26 21:31:00 <Knave>	"I'm good, thanks. I'm new here." Callum motions vaguely with one hand towards the couch, "Mind if I join you?"
Mar 26 21:34:02 <Lena>	"Sure, I don't mind" she moved over to make sure he had room without being so awkwardly close. "I'm Pandora" she offers a hand along with a smile.
Mar 26 21:35:23 <Knave>	"Callum." He took her hand and shook firmly, smiling in kind, for probably just a few seconds too long. With a withering chuckle, he nodded towards the TV set, "What are we watching?"
Mar 26 21:39:09 <Lena>	Pandora withdrew her hand after a shake "Well I dont know. Some reality thing that's not much like reality." she laughed a bit "I just had it on for noise" she looked back at him "Are you new here?"
Mar 26 21:40:53 <Knave>	"Fresh yesterday." Callum nodded in acknowledgement, "Still getting used to the place, but you're all making me feel very welcome."
Mar 26 21:41:36 <Lena>	"That's good. I just got back about a week ago. Everyone has been really helpful in getting me acclamated to the place. Where are you from?"
Mar 26 21:43:06 <Knave>	"Little Springs, Kansas." Callum was getting used to saying it now. A week ago he'd barely met anyone who hadn't also grown up in that one, small town. "What about you?"
Mar 26 21:45:47 <Lena>	"Greece." she thought for a bit "They found you in a little bitty town in Kansas? I guess the GMU really is /everywhere/."
Mar 26 21:46:46 <Knave>	"Well," It felt silly, but he blushed a little. He'd told other people, but suddenly it felt like he was bragging to say it, "I did get into the local paper."
Mar 26 21:47:56 <Lena>	"Did you? What for?" she seemed genuinely interested in that.

Mar 26 21:49:39 <Knave>	"I, uh, well," He ran a hand through his short-cropped hair to the back of his neck, "The fair was in town, and the ferris wheel started coming apart, so... I carried it into an empty field, so nobody'd get hurt." He shrugged, to imply that any good American would have done the same.
Mar 26 21:52:31 <Lena>	Pandora's brows rose and she blinked "You're some kind of Hercules or something like that?" she asked. Wow... "That's really impressive. I'd have like to have seen somthing like that." she looked him over in awe a bit.
Mar 26 21:54:34 <Knave>	The blush spread across Callum's cheeks, up to his ears, "Nobody's ever said it like that before, but I guess I'm pretty strong."
Mar 26 22:04:26 <Lena>	"So you're ok with me calling you Hercules then? A demi-god that walked among men...a hero of the men" she smiled "Thats what you did right? You did something super heroic and saved lives by using your strength."
Mar 26 22:08:14 <Knave>	Callum laughed self-consciously, shaking his head, "Call me what you like. But I don't know about superhero. I didn't do anything anyone else wouldn't have."
Mar 26 22:10:16 <Lena>	"Do you really think anyone else could have carried an entire ferris wheel to safety by themselves?" she asked curiously
Mar 26 22:11:37 <Knave>	"Well..." Callum's brows knit together as he tried to form the words, "They could if they were me." He looked at the ceiling plaintively, then at Pandora, "You know what I mean."
Mar 26 22:13:12 <Lena>	"I do but you're still a hero. You got in the paper and everything" she smiled and leaned over to nudge him. "Hercules" she grinned.
Mar 26 22:15:00 <Knave>	"I guess Hercules beats- sorry," He cleared his throat and smiled weakly, "Not to be rude, but why are you called Pandora?"
Mar 26 22:17:42 <Lena>	Pandora licked her lips "Because I'm one of the things that came out of Pandora's box...it's actually a pithos. I have no real name, so I've always been called Pandora."
Mar 26 22:19:02 <Knave>	Callum nodded, his lips flattening to convey a "makes sense" impression. At length, he looked at her and finally said, "You look like more of a Katie to me."
Mar 26 22:19:57 <Lena>	"Katie? Really?" she laughed "Maybe I'll take that name up then." was it possible to take on a new name?
Mar 26 22:21:52 <Knave>	Callum shrugged, "If you like it, I guess." Then, gears turning in his head, he caught up with the conversation, "Wait, did you say you came from Pandora's Box?"
Mar 26 22:28:45 <Lena>	Pandora nodded "Mmhmm" she wondered how long it would take him to realize what she'd said.
Mar 26 22:30:23 <Knave>	"As in..." Callum thought hard. He remembered they'd briefly covered it in History and he wanted to make sure he was remembering right, "The box full of all the bad things, Pandora's Box?"
Mar 26 22:31:10 <Lena>	There was another nod "The exact one. Although historically speaking I wasn't in a box. I was in a pithos. Big difference. I guess Pandora's Pithos isn't as catchy as Pandora's Box." she shrugs.
Mar 26 22:32:38 <Knave>	"Uh huh." Callum said, nodding, "And what's a pithos again?"
Mar 26 22:33:01 <Lena>	"Uh...it's like a big clay jar that the ancient greeks kept wine in."
Mar 26 22:35:20 <Knave>	"Pandora's jar. Got it." Callum's mouth wobbled as he approached the subject, "So were you... one of the bad things? Only, you don't seem like it, is all."
Mar 26 22:39:34 <Lena>	Pandora looked down at her hands "Yeah...I'm one of the bad things" she looked at him "At least I can be bad. I have the abilities to be bad. The GMU keeps way close tabs on me and apparently has it figured out where I'll be reborn next everytime I die. It's really creepy and majorly stalkerish."
Mar 26 22:43:46 <Knave>	"We all have the ability to be bad." Callum shrugged, apparently in some small world of his own as he spoke, "My ma always said that's not the kind of thing you should judge a person by." He snapped himself out as his head caught up with his ears again, "You've died before?"
Mar 26 22:45:52 <Lena>	"A lot of times. I die and I come back. I always look different, I don't remember anything about myself in my previous life but I remember the world around me. Oddly I didn't remember this place. They grabbed me as soon as I came out of the grave." she shifted a bit "Can we um..talk about something other than me coming out of stillborn baby graves?"
Mar 26 22:47:49 <Knave>	"Yes." Callum practically cut her off before 'baby', "Yes please..." His mind searched for a topic, then settled, "How do you feel about baseball?"
Mar 26 22:50:36 <Lena>	"I've never played it. Looks fun though. I'd try it. What about you?"
Mar 26 22:51:48 <Knave>	"Big baseball fan." He smiled, "Apparently there's some interest in getting a game together, so, I guess that's just been... what I've been thinking about." He trailed off.
Mar 26 22:52:19 <Lena>	"Really? I'd love to join it if I knew what I was doing" she smiled "maybe you can teach me sometime?"
Mar 26 22:54:16 <Knave>	Callum smiled back, broad and genuine, "I'd be happy to." It was starting to come easier.
Mar 26 22:54:56 <Lena>	Pandora was obviously excited now "Oooo when?" she turned slightly to face him better. This would be so fun. Hitting things with a bat...who doesn't llike doing that. This might be more fun than a pinata.
Mar 26 22:57:18 <Knave>	"Uh, I guess I'm not really busy any time soon, so whenever works for you, I guess." Callum hadn't expected it to be so normal. To feel so normal. It was strange, ironically enough.
Mar 26 22:58:34 <Lena>	"Ok well I'm free anytime I don't have class. But I do have a question...what happens if I hit something with the bat? Do I get a point?"
Mar 26 22:59:58 <Knave>	"Ah..."  Callum puts up a finger as he begins to explain, "You see, you've got two teams. And when you're the batting team, there are four bases, right? And when you hit the ball, you want to run all around them before the other team can get the ball back to you."
Mar 26 23:02:21 <Lena>	"So...I only get to hit the ball one timean dthen I have to run? Can I just hit the ball and other people run?"
Mar 26 23:03:55 <Knave>	"Not really," Callum said, making a point of brightening up as he continued, "But you do get lots of chances to hit the ball and run."
Mar 26 23:09:36 <Lena>	"I really suck at running" she laughed "I'm still willing to learn though." nothing about her was athletic in the least and that showed. "What kind of stuff do I need?" maybe she could get Champi and Reynard and Andrey out there to play too.
Mar 26 23:11:40 <Knave>	"Uh, running shoes, I guess. I've got a bat and ball in my room." Callum smiled encouragingly, "I'm sure you'll do just fine. I think a surprising amount of students have also never played baseball."
Mar 26 23:13:20 <Lena>	"Well I know that none of my powers are useful in any kinds of sports activities so I'll rely on pure me talent" she laughs "If I have any. I bet I could get a couple of my friends interested in playing too if you need more people"
Mar 26 23:14:44 <Knave>	"More the merrier." Callum practically glowed. He hadn't dared dream it would take a day for him to feel this welcome, and have so many people ready to be friendly to him.
Mar 26 23:17:47 <Lena>	"I'll get them to come play with us then." she practically beamed and couldn't wait to bug Champi about it. "Im really glad I met you, Hercules"
Mar 26 23:18:29 <Knave>	"Thank you very much." Callum grinned, "I'm glad I met you too... do you prefer Pandora, or Katie?"
Mar 26 23:18:55 <Lena>	"Whatever you want to call me."
Mar 26 23:20:45 <Knave>	"Katie, I guess." Callum smiled a goofy smile, rubbed the back of his neck.
Mar 26 23:21:33 <Lena>	Pandora grinned "Katie it is then. Do you have a phone?"
Mar 26 23:22:08 <Knave>	"Yeah." Callum answered, leaving out the part where he wasn't very sure how to work it.
Mar 26 23:22:45 <Lena>	Pandora leaned over and pulled her phone out of her back pocket, leaning into him just a bit when she did "Ok what's your number?"
Mar 26 23:24:40 <Knave>	"[numbers]" Callum rattles off from memory. On a fundamental level, he didn't trust the phone to remember it for him.
Mar 26 23:27:19 <Lena>	His phone number was put into her phone and she saved him as Hercules. "Got it" and she sent him a text <It's Katie, here's my number>. That was so weird to type, but it tickled her for some reason. "Great. I'll call you and we can make plans to teach me how to play baseball."
Mar 26 23:28:11 <Knave>	"I look forward to it." Callum nodded enthusiastically to her
Mar 26 23:28:52 <Lena>	Pandora got up and stretched languidly before tucking her phone back into her back pocket "Ok well...I'm gonna go. It was great meeting you. I can't wait to see you again."
Mar 26 23:29:55 <Knave>	Callum sits back in the couch and touches his forelock with the hand nearer Pandora, in a vein attempt to hide another blush, "You too. See you around."
Mar 26 23:32:42 <Lena>	Another smile flashed at him and she was heading out, a little bounce in her step.
