On a planet of men where Law became the last bastion of talented thinkers and society became backwards and its other advancements slowed Nomosians would reckon their branch took root at this exact moment in time.
Law has always tried to catch up with an advancing society, so when society stopped advancing Law was finally able to reach the point of answering all the questions their modern society could ask, but what now could they do?
More questions were created, not by the society that had failed but by masters of Law who had taken minor degrees in the Minor Laws of Science and Economics.
Questions like; could a space colony with its economy revolving around moon rocks be allowed to invest in our fuckbuck economy? Or if a vessel that reaches light speed can be charged with speeding or damaging the space environment.
More and more questions from the Minor Laws could be introduced into True Law as it allowed more questions to be debated and more power to be gained by the practitioners of Laws who had over time gained control of every facet of the stunted society.
With control and questions of every field being answered society took steps forward for the first time in 200 years and the Empire of Nomosia began to flourish and spread without fault to control their entire native galaxy in a miraculous 50 years.
This was accomplished by being able to introduce and integrate without error every single other society they came into contact with through infallible logical debate coupled with a society that had no question without an answer and no technology that wasn't at the cutting edge of Law.

When the invasion of the Enemy began and these accursed heretics who had no respect in refusing to respond to our flawless arguments against their unlawful invasion the Flagship Veritas took command of the conscripted fleet and began a campaign of mutual destruction, justified that it would be the most effective method of pushing The Enemy back.
Through logic and calculated sacrifice their invasion suffered a great reduction in their progress and preliminary questions were up for debate in every field of Law as to how to counter in any circumstance and opportunity the best method to repel the invaders.
Various encounters were arranged to question their capabilities in combat and the main fleet took the stand believing their defense ready with rebuttal plans for anything the Enemy might try, they were unprepared.
The Enemy utilized a timely burst of gamma radiation that had spewed from the super large black hole at the center of the Nomosian galaxy and somehow changed its trajectory to aim it at Nomosia Prime.
Everyone knew the outcome to Nomosia's final question and so in the time allotted the greatest minds and records of all the glorious truths in Nomosian Law were stowed on Veritas and a final effort utilizing the entire fleet to allow our legacy to escape.
