  1. Description of items on the mast
  2.
  3. Azimuth rotator - allows the entire mast to rotate around the vertical axis so that the antennas can point in different compass directions
  4. Elevation rotator - allows the attached horizontal bar to rotate around a horizontal axis, to allow pointing the antennas higher or lower in the sky.
  5.
  6. 14MHz dipole - antenna for amateur HF (20m wavelength) communications, allowing very long-distance communication in the right conditions
  7. 144MHz Yagi - antenna for directional VHF (2m wavelength) amateur communication and for tracking high altitude balloons for SUSF, etc.
  8. 432MHz Yagi - antenna for directional UHF (70cm wavelength) amateur communication and for tracking high altitude balloons for SUSF, etc.
  9. 5GHz WiFi dish - for the experimental SOWN[at]coordinates, allowing longer-range high-speed wifi at a given set of coordinates. We hope to use this to allow SUSU TV to broadcast live from around campus with high levels of quality.
  10. SURGE antenna - broadcast FM frequencies, used to broadcast SURGE on broadcast FM radio during freshers' week. This antenna is currently the only thing on the mast. Our society would also offer to help SURGE set up some permanent equipment to avoid hiring costs.
  11. 50/144/432MHz Colinear - Omnidirectional antenna for amateur VHF/UHF (6m/2m/70cm wavelength), for more local communications and other potential uses.
