  1. Report #1353
  2. Skillset: Music Skill: Composition
  3. Guild: Symphonium Status: Draft
  4.
  5. Problem: Currently, the length of a composed song is altered by the following variables: 50/50 charisma/intelligence with skill modifiers from dramatics and music. 50% more time can be added with a song artefact, a tempo enchantment from a tinkerer, and a guild champion gets extra time from their leadership artefact. Currently, with Transcendent Loralaria and Expert Dramatics, 21 charisma and 13 intelligence (with no artefact) I can reach 215 seconds in song length. With tempo, this is enhanced to 258 seconds. Every point of your stats is a major factor in this calculation, and with the overhaul removing stats, I'd like to see it reworked in one of two ways: moving the cha/int stat to your current percentage of bonding with your instrument -or- a new skill in Music which will be listed below.
  6.
  7. Solution #1: Have your ability with your instrument (MUSIC - INSTRUMENTBOND) increase the lenght of your song, beginning with a base amount at 0% that increases to a plateau at 100%. Bonding with the instrument will give a bonus to song length that will be the hard cap without artefacts or tempo.
  8. Solution #2: Add a new skill to Music known as (?)Stamina. Similar to alcohol tolerance, musical stamina will rise with every consecutive IG day you play your instrument, earning you points. Every 5 points, you will advance a tier, the tiers being: Wandering Traveller --> Humble Prodigy --> Flourishing Artist --> Musical Afficianado --> Celebrated Concertist --> Voice of the Ages. At Voice of the Ages, you may earn a maximum of 5 extra points as a buffer. For every IG month you go without playing your instrument at least once, you will lose one point, and falling below the points required for your tier would move you to the one right beneath. Each tier would give you a variable cap until you max out at level 6 (for example, you could have between 200-250 at level 4, but easily 300-350 at level 5 if you have a high skill of Dramatics/Music).
