Basket Case

Twilight: Y'know, Spike. Sometimes, I get the feeling that some ponies think I'm.... a basket case
Spike: .......I'd say that's fairly accurate
Twilight: Spike, come on, be serious for a moment.
Spike: I am, Twilight. It's true.
Twilight: I don't know. Maybe.... maybe it is

It's not like ponies have the time
To listen to me whine
About nothing and everything
All at once

Maybe I am so
A melodramatic foal
Neurotic to the bone, no doubt about it

I'll admit my mind plays tricks on me
I'll admit I sometimes disturb myself

But despite things adding up
I don't think I'm cracking up
I'm not paranoid
I'm just.... crazed

I act as my own shrink
Yet I still can't analyze my dreams
It's education in excess
That's raising me down

I'd try life yet again
To see if I'd offend
My own self by my different point of view

Maybe I'm not myself as I once was
Maybe I've changed more than I know

It all stays so abrupt
Perhaps I'm moving up
I'm not paranoid
I'm just.... evolved

Grasping to keep control
I better keep holding on

Despite the disasters that do erupt
I think I'm higher up
I'm not paranoid
I'm just.... me
