the complete basis for this is going to be the amount of doujins and circles selling works related to the series at comiket; aka the biggest doujin fair in the woooooooorld wooop it's usually visited by approximately half a million people and it's held twice a year! either in the hottest time in summer or the coldest in winter bc apparently convention planners love to test the endurance of fans!

tiger and bunny's first presence in comiket was in 2011 aka the year it started airing, for comiket 80, which was in summer time. it was halfway through its original 25 episode airing so im gonna concentrate on winter comiket of 2011 aka 81 instead and its numbers bc that's when the boom really hit.

the first and most selling franchise for doujin that year was touhou; which has been a consistent top 5 since 2002? it had 2690 circles celling related works and had a 9+ year of popularity. and in second place? tiger and bunny with 1170 circles. to put things into more perspective, that was also the year of the imas anime! they had just 417 circles, it was also the year after durarara aired, and the numbers on that? even with its massive popularity that remains to this year? 278

now let's do a timeskip to comiket 93 aka winter 2017, touhou is at 4th place with 1320 circles, popular ongoing series like heroaca? 107 circles, enstars? 241, and like, granblue? popular with most demographics? at 380. and after 6 years, where is tiger and bunny standing... right under granblue with 268? higher than snk even? with all that time of inactivity.
