Star vs The Forces of Evil: You Really Got Me Now Part 7


	Marco and Star embraced for what felt like an eternity, neither willing to let go of the other, most likely thinking that they were hallucinating each other and if they let go the other would vanish; eventually Kale's moaning as he regained consciouness is what made them separate, Marco walked over to him and stepped on his back.

"Move and I'll paralyze you from the waist down," Marco said putting pressure down on his spine. He turned to Star with an appalled look on his face; "I'm assuming this is Kale right?"

"Prince Kale to you, filthy peas-" Marco kicked him in the ribs; "Shut up" countered Marco.

Star nodded and pulled up her right dress strap back up to her shoulder after Kale had tried to yank it off her. "He, he is a douche, but I guess he got drunk and tried to...he tried to-" Star couldn't even finish that sentence it made her sick to her stomach; the look of pain on Stars face was not lost on Marco who then started to realize of what was going to happen if he hadn't shown up when he did; In a fit of rage Marco picked up Kale and dragged him to the balcony.

"GIVE ME ONE GOOD REASON WHY I SHOULDN'T JUST THROW YOU OVER FUCKING THE RAILING!" Marco said in a tone that Star has never heard him use before; if it wasn't for the fact that Star realized he was serious it actually would have turned her on; aww who she trying to fool she got turned on regardless.

"Your not a killer Marco," Star said patting his shoulder. "As much as he deserves it you know you couldn't live with yourself knowing you killed someone; your heart of gold is one of the reasons I could never stay away from you"

Marco calmed down, she was right he's not a monster but still Marco couldn't deny he wanted to hurt him and hurt him good; but he let the feeling pass as Star rested her head on his shoulder massaging his back like you would a puppy who got too hyper.  In the end, Marco and Star tied and gagged him using her sheets and tossed him in a closet."Remember the face of the filthy peasant that kicked your sorry ass" Marco taunted before slamming the door shut.

"What now? Marco asked Star.

"We leave," Star said walking to the balcony and picking up the grappling hook from the floor.

"Just like that?; but what about your things and your family and friends?" Marco said puzzled.

"Marco, you have to trust me, I don't want to spend another second on Mewnie" Star said placing the hook on the railing; satisfied it was on tight she waved to Marco to get going; Marco came to her still worried.
"Are you sure?"

"Marco, things can be replaced, my friends are on Earth, and you...you...ARE my family...that is if you'd have me" Star said looking down trying not to blush.

"Of course!" Your always welcomed at Casa Diaz" Marco said proudly.

"Thank you, but I mean I meant like Uhm yeah thanks, Marco" Star said with a smile.

"Lets go home then; I may have to carry you down if that's ok I hope I don't ruin your nice dress"

"Oh, Marco you can never ruin anything!" Star said enthusiastically jumping onto Marco's back and grabbing onto him. Marco positioned himself on the grappling hook; ready to rappel down little by little. "Hold on tight to me" Marco whispered its gonna be rough.

"Wouldn't want it any other way" replied Star.

After a short while, Marco and Star had landed back on solid ground, Marco was so happy he kissed the dirt, Star twirled around and smelled freedom for the first time in days she was happy.
"I hid the dimensional scissors not far from here, lets get going"  Said Marco taking Star by the hand, Star couldn't had been happier and they both took running away from the castle, they made a few twists and turns to make sure they weren't spotted; "Its just up ahead" Marco exclaimed suddenly a bunch of royal guards leaped out from behind tree's and bushes cornering them; Star and Marco braced themselves entering their fighting stances Marco even reached for knife just in case.

"Step out of the way; I don't want to hurt you guys, but I'm leaving and your not gonna stop me!" Star hissed.

"I'd do as she says, men I raised her to be feisty" a voice came from behind the guards who then got out of the way revealing King Butterfly.

"Dad?" Star said shocked, she and Marco lowered their defenses; Marco was just as stunned if not more "why isn';t he taking us back to the castle?" Marco thought.

"You sure took your time getting here boy, but I had a feeling you'd show up eventually, why else would I tell all my men to only guard the front gate of the castle I knew you'd be smart enough to figure out the rest"

So this whole time King Butterfly wanted Marco to show up and take Star? Marco's mind was buzzing.

"Your not going to take me back to mom?" asked Star.

"No. I know that this isn't what you wanted my darling girl; if leaving Mewnie with the boy is what you r heart desires then so be it; I'm not going to stop you"

Star was in tears and hugged her dad. "Your mother...she loves you she really does but her judgement is clouded and she's crossed the line maybe in time she will seek forgiveness but for now you must leave and not look back even it hurts me" the King said softly hugging his daughter one last time.

"I love you dad," Star said between sobs.

"And I love you too my precious Star, never forget that" replied the king

They let go of each other, while Star was still determined to leave leaving her father behind will be rough but the fact that he's urging her to go is how she knows she's doing the right thing. King Butterfly approached Marco, even though he was taller then the king Marco still got nervous being in his presence.

"Kneel boy" ordered the king; Marco did as he was told. Star watched nervously from behind unsure of what was going to happen.

A guard appeared and gave the king something wrapped in cloth, the king took it and removed the cloth, it was a golden broadsword with a blue and ivory hilt with the Butterfly family crest embedded on it; King Butterfly rested the sword just above Marco's head as he kneeled.

"Will you protect those who cannot protect themselves? To stand for justice even at the cost of that of which you hold dearest to your heart? The King asked Marco solmenely.

"Yes."

The king raised the sword, into the sky and it glowed, the other guards kneeled beside him, Star did the same.

"And for my daughter would you sacrifice your very soul for her for now until the end of time?"

"Yes"

The King jammed the sword into the ground in front of a kneeling Marco with one swift.

"Then take this sword and when and If you are ready return to Mewnie and place it on its pedestal in front of the castle and take your rightful place as King of this land...oh and yeah its ok if you ever wanna marry my daughter and you know whatever technically I could have just said that but thats not dramatic enough I didn't take those junior acting classes for nothing"

Marco didn't know what to say he was just coming to rescue a friend, now he's being informally crowned King; Star face was red as an apple leave it to her dad to embearass her one last time.

"Thank you sir, I promise I won't let you down" Marco finally said standing up and raising the sword over his head, a guard handing him a scabbard to hold the sword in.

"Look after her bo- err...I mean Marco; or I'll hunt you down myself" said the king sternly, making Marco laugh nervously.


Marco and Star said their goodbyes to the king, who handed them a scroll.

"One last thing...when you reach the other side, both of you read the spell on the scroll its ancient magic that I scrounged up from our archives I hid it from the Queen as she was looking for it to keep Marco out of Mewnie but i got it first; it will lock our dimensions from being opened with dimensional scisscors from either side, effectively stopping all travel between Earth and Mewnie no doubt my wife will be furious if not already and will stop at nothing to bring Star back" The King explained. "With that spell you at least buy yoursel some breathing room at the cost of no longer being able to return at least for a while".

Star and Marco looked at each other and nodded; "Thank You your majesty" Marco said. And with that he returned to the castle and Star and Marco made their way to the scissors.

Once there, Marco told Star to open the portal because he's not really good at opening them in the right place remebering one time when he left Mewnie he tried to go back to Echo Creek but ended up in this strange little forrest town up north in Oregon. Star opened the portal and took Marco's hand.

I Hope my father didn't put you on the spot back there, you know how he is"

"Its ok, I know he was doing it mostly for show, can you imagine me as King?" giggled Marco as he began to enter the portal. "Star just smiled; "Yeah I can imagine" she thought to herself. She turned back to look at the castle and the town, she felt sadness for a second but it passed her destiny was not here.

"You coming?" asked Marco extedning his hand for Star to take it.

"Try to stop me" she said taking his hand and at once they both jumped into the void, spilling out on the Diaz living room, the both got up and read the incantation from the scroll, the portal shook and began to fizzle like it was short cirucuiting finally vanishing only leaving behind a neon outline of a keyhole before that too vanishing; they hugged seeing as how it worked.

Star and Marco looked around the room observing their surroundings, Star couldn't believe she was here.
