  1. The letter comes from the Embassy, written in Plain Equestrian. It seemed the scribe responsible for sending the missive was kind enough to do that much, at least. A copy was made and posted up on the bulletin board in the middle of town by one of the guard. It called for a group of go-getting individuals to accomplish a goal of no small degree of importance: track down a mystical artifact and return it to its rightful resting place! Sources describe it as a small crystal, able to be held in two hooves. Ponies had something for crystals apparently. The resting place in question was a stone structure some ways into the woods. This structure was built hundreds of years ago and its intended purpose was to extend the reach of the positive energy flowing from the heart of the Equestrian empire into the wilder areas surrounding it. Over the centuries the artifact was stolen and the structure has since fallen into disrepair. Given Fourcannons' current favorable position with mainland Equestria, the Society of Magical Engineering (based in Canterlot) has found it pertinent to begin reestablishing the magical uplink that once held the wild magical forces abound in the area around what is now Fourcannon at bay. So what does this mean for our intrepid adventurers?

  3. Danger! Excitement! Bandits! Lots of walking through the jungle! Pseudo-Mayan bullshit! The quest could begin any number of ways. Do you look for the bandits responsible first or do you locate the structure in question? How do you get the crystal back? Do you take it by brute force or arrange a trade? I'm sure the Vault would be willing to part with some bauble or another. Regardless of how the problem is tackled, it's sure to be a lot of FUN!

  5. This would probably work best with 4+ players. Knowledge of innawoods within the party would definitely be suggested. Being armed and armored is suggested as well but I suppose that's a given. Quest shouldn't be lethal but depending on how badly things go it very well could get to be that way. Dying isn't much fun so that should be avoided.

  7. The temple is about 3 days steady walk away to the south, closer to Equestria. It's about a day deep into a forest. Not full jungle but it's not a walk in the park either. There'll be a river crossing about halfway through. Relatively flat land, nothing too major in terms of hills n' shit. Be prepared for skrellingtons, wild animals, and bandits.
