  1. The Gaping Dragon
  2. Limp Nicky
  3.
  4.
  5.
  6.
  7. “Remember what you told me when I was sick, and my slime was extra sticky?” Gummy asked, grunting as she helped push you up the steps of the stairwell. “Remember? I asked for a hug, because I wasn’t feeling good? No?”
  8.
  9. “It’s not ringing any bells, no. Why?” You replied, trying to focus on climbing the stairs. You were almost to your room, which was on the 4th floor of the manor, at the very back. All you wanted to do was lay down.
  10.
  11. “You said, ‘yeah, I’m gonna go ahead and not touch you’.” Gummy laughed. You had both arrived at the end of the stairs, and she turned the handle of the door for you. You both began the walk to the back of the hallway, where your room was.
  12.
  13. “Well, thank god you aren’t as big of an asshole as I am.” You smiled. Your smile faded as you decided to take a more serious turn. “Hey?” You asked, looking at Gummy. She turned to you with hum. “Thanks.” She smiled and nodded.
  14.
  15. “You do realize though, that we’re going to have to talk with the others. We can’t have anyone going out on their own anymore, human or monster. I can’t imagine what would have happened if I wasn’t there.” Gummy started. She reached for the door to your room, and turned the knob.
  16.
  17. Your room was enormous. A king sized bed sat in the very back against a large window that reached to the ceiling, a flat screen TV sat on the wall adjacent to the bed, adorned with your various game consoles and other electronics, and your computer sat between two enormous wardrobes. Your room wasn’t filled with many things, and it wasn’t decorated much aside from the white wallpaper with gold trim, but it was big. You walked over to the window, pulled the curtains open, and opened the windows, letting the fresh night wind into the room.
  18.
  19. “Gummy. I’ve made up my mind.” You stated, looking out of the window. The trees outside the manor blew gently. Your room faced the back of the manor grounds, so you could see over the hedge maze to the lake, where the aquatic orphans and residents lived. It was glowing a bright cyan tonight. You could hear giggling and splashing in the distance. You smiled.
  20.
  21. “What do you mean?” She asked, looking at you with concern.
  22.
  23. “I’m going to do it. I know for awhile I’ve been on the fence about dedicating my entire attention to this, but…” You turned back around to Gummy, to face her. “I think this would be what’s best. I’m going to stay. I think this is what I want to do with my life.” Before you could continue, Gummy was now hugging you tightly, her face buried in your shoulder. She took it out after awhile, and looked mildly upset with you.
  24.
  25. “Here you are, a friggin’ gaping wound in your chest, and you’re worrying about others. You look like that one boss from Dark Souls.” Gummy mumbled.
  26.
  27. “It’s amazing what you figure out about yourself when you’re bleeding out of every orifice in your body.” You laughed. You sat down on your bed, Gummy gently sitting down next to you, so as to not break your connection. “I’m assuming you’re sleeping with me tonight?” You asked.
  28.
  29. “Yep. The wound should be almost completely healed in the morning.” She responded while crawling over you.
  30.
  31. “Awesome. I want to talk with Liz, Cassie, Spice and Oskar after breakfast, then. They need to know what happened. They need to be prepared when they go out.” You said, pulling the blankets to the bed down, and then over both Gummy and yourself. “Now,” You started. “What do you want to watch on Netflix?”
