  1. MECHAGUCA TOURNAMENT CENTRAL HUB
  2.
  3. (TLDR: Here are the rules.
  4.
  5. Bracket: http://challonge.com/Mechaguca1Final
  6.
  7. Three temporary rooms will be used for this.
  8.
  9. #MechagucaStadium - Main combat ground and used for fights. Directly visible from #MechagucaStadiumSeating, though too far away to interact with that room. Largely flat with sparse metal protrusions providing limited cover. Coated entirely in metal, both ground and walls, roughly the size of a football field. Surrounded by an enormous metal cage, leaving enough room to fly but making the stadium ultimately inescapable. Combat happens here.
  10.
  11. #MechagucaStadiumSeating - Main viewing area for meguca not involved in the tournament. Immensely barebones with simple, flat, metal benches making up the entirety of seating. Can directly view #MechagucaStadium through the steel cage. Spectator RP happens here.
  12.
  13. #MechagucaStadiumVIPLounge - Lounge area for combatants not currently fighting. It is well furnished, stocked with refreshments and snacks, and features two enormous big-screen televisions giving perfect footage of the action on the field. Combatant RP happens here when not fighting.
  14.
  15. Rules - Single elim. Character sheets must be exchanged between opponents before combat starts. Players are expected to be honest, as well as to check over their opponent's sheet for character honesty and legality.
  16.
  17. Anything is allowed, but if there is a killing blow about to be made, a mysterious masked young man in a top hat and cape swoops down from somewhere unseen, snatches the defeated combatant up into his arms, and disappears in a cloud of smoke. Those rescued come to consciousness in the spectator stands, unaware of how they got there. In their pocket, however, is a small playing card with the number '1412' scribbled on in permanent marker.
  18.
  19. DO NOT play matches outside of the current round. Round 2 cannot be played until all Round 1 matches are complete, Round 3 cannot be played until all of Round 2 is complete, etc. Otherwise, you may organize with your opponent to fight whenever is most convenient. Logs must be submitted to IWBTG along with a short summary of the fight's events, as well as its winner succinctly stated. These will be stored and used to help balance AMG Core in the future, so please be as complete and accurate as possible.)

  23. The directions had been vague at best, yet somehow the flyers that the young girl gave out lead to a stadium that could only belong to the bloodthirsty mahou Rei. The path winding and treacherous, guiding its travelers further and further into the outskirts of the Overcity, at last the imposing silhouette of a jet black arena rises unobscured from the horizon. Hastily designed, with razor edges jutting from walls and unsymmetrical spires towering in every direction from its foundation, it appears that the mechaguca has been busy, if not particularly diligent in her construction. Inside, however, is different. Rows of pitch black benches, enough to seat thousands, though only hundreds seem to be gathered, surround a football-field-sized circular arena composed entirely of metal. An enormous cage surrounds the battleground, separating the combatants from their observers, and on the ground sits a carefully crafted layer of yet more steel, textured so as to provide maximum grip. Otherwise, the battlefield is completely neutral, with only some random spattering of metallic spires jutting from the ground or walls.
  24.
  25. Before you have a chance to glance around and size-up your fellow combatants, however, a booming voice quite literally echoes around you, the stadium itself seeming to function as a speaker. Rather than merely being heard, the sound surrounding you is quite literally felt, the little girl's words resonating through your bones.
  26.
  27. "Aaah~ I'm glad to see all of my little warriors got here okay! Don't forget your manners, though. Ta-da-i-ma~!"
  28.
  29. The fact that the sound seems to come from all around makes locating the girl's face more difficult than it should be, but finally your eye catches the enormous screen taking up a full quarter of the stadium directly across the field from you. Rei's eager little face stares back as the doors behind you shut suddenly, and beyond simply being welded back together, actually seem to fuse into one piece. An uncomfortable sense of unease comes over you as the tournament ground begins to feel more like a trap. Still, though, the child-like signs directing you to the "Warriors VIP lounge (づ。◕‿‿◕。)づ" seem to do their best to welcome you, at least those that aren't currently fighting.
  30.
  31. "Some quick ruuuules~ Kay? Single elimination! And... Uh, no other rules! Fight until one of you can't or won't fight anymore!"
  32.
  33. The giggling from the screen is unsettling, but at this point you have no choice but to fight. Rei's face suddenly vanishes from the screen, and is replaced with two portraits and three names, Josie on one side, and Morgana & Aurora on the other. The former seems to be labelled "Heavy Hitter" while the latter has the title "Double Trouble."
  34.
  35. "No more waiting, alright? I've waited way too long already~! Combatants, to the main stage! Everyone else, get ready for a treat~!"
  36.
  37. Some of those in the crowd cheer excitedly, a dull white noise meeting your ears compared to the booming sound of Rei's unabashedly childish voice. Tentatively, the stage is set, and as the combatants arrive on the battleground, each in their opposite corners, Rei excitedly begins the countdown.
  38.
  39. "Three! Two! One! FIIIGHT~!"
