#OOC It's kind of simple. Rose God Tiered too early during her adventures alone. Things mostly followed canon, until she went off to fight Jack Noir. John got ganked, she flew into a rage, but things went SORT OF off the rails when she actually managed to kill Jack Noir. Between god tier Seer powers for divining how to properly fight and her Grimdark power boost, she barely eked out a victory.

Issue with that is that she was still very grimdark and very much in a mood to Make Them Pay. While hanging about trying to figure out what to do, Doc Scratch taps her and starts poking her to check John's messages, ostensibly because since he's dead, she needs to get all his information to take over as leader.

One of the messages she reads is this one:

CG: THE IDIOT YOU CALL THE JADE HUMAN WENT AHEAD AND PROTOTYPED HER FREAK OF A LUSUS, WHILE YOU DECIDED TO TAKE A NAP FOR SOME REASON RATHER THAN DOING WHAT A LEADER IS SUPPOSED TO DO AND STOP HER FROM BEING SO FUCKING RETARDED.

You can imagine her reaction.

She won pretty handily, because Jade and Dave were rather surprised, as you can imagine. Especially because she made her entrance by dropping in very fast and spearing Jade with a blast of eldritch energy, which made Dave sort of stop cold. Yes, she killed him too.

Cue her being at a loss, when Doc Scratch again pops in and indicates her work isn't finished. The people who helped orchestrate Jade's prototyping, of course, were actually the trolls. Jade was just a pawn. But how to get at them? Simple. She still needs to take The Tumor and detonate it, thus creating a beacon for the trolls to reach a specific point that she can also head to, thus allowing a rendezvous. That being the Green Sun. To PROPERLY detonate it, though, she needs to make sure to set off the Scratch. She takes Dave's dream self, and "persuades" him to deliver The Tumor. Then she took the same route as Jack Noir did in canon.

That's right, she's the Demon, not Jack Noir. She shows up, destroys the door leading to the troll's ultimate reward, tracks them when they arrive at the Green Sun, and then murders every single one of them - including God Tier Dave, who definitely made things complicated. It was another close fight. She won, though.

Then Doc Scratch contacted her and told her that, alas, she was a bit mistaken. None of the people that she just killed were really behind her session's tragedy. It was him, of course. He and his employer. And she can't do anything about it anymore, the deed has been done and Lord English is Already There.

Thus she spent about 3 years being completely insane and alone, and retreated into a potent fantasy life where she pretended everything was still fine, punctuated with heavy, heavy drinking. She only recently pulled herself together, and that's when she appeared here.

Important thing to stress - this isn't a doomed timeline. Things still followed the correct course of events to bring about Lord English without breaking time loops. As such, no one is DOOMED to die. This means that John can come into this, without being doomed. And I can most definitely say he is a major loose end, since Rose LEFT what she thought was his corpse at that Skaian castle. When he came back, he would have witnessed the confusing sight of his dead parents, a dead Jack Noir, and no Rose.

After that his path was his own, sort of. He would have needed to escape the Scratch, maybe by jetting into the Furthest Ring. Perhaps he spent a while flailing around in the bubbles, and adventured with Vriska like in canon. I haven't planned it out extensively.
