  1.
  2. Grace has connected.
  3. Narrator has connected.
  4. Actinidia has connected.
  5. Grace: Howdy!
  6. DNA: 'lo
  7. Actinidia: Dropping markers.
  8. DNA: So we ran into the Florges and now we know about Aerodactyl and stuff. Now we need to talk to Slen about his family.
  9. Narrator: After much trouble with my Adobe, I've managed to finally get it to open the files I want.
  10. Actinidia: So what do people think about a public square this large?
  11. Narrator: It's been a while since I've last ran this so please give me a moment to refresh myself with events.
  12. Narrator: Also change my colour.
  13. Actinidia: Sure thing!
  14. Narrator: Changed.
  15. Grace Leonhardt: I'm down with it! And it's perfectly fine to refresh.
  16. DNA: Dang, that picture is a qt.
  17. Grace: I'm still super proud of finding that image. -w-
  18. DNA: It's good stuff.
  19. Actinidia: Yepyep
  20. Narrator: Those markers you dropped. Are they to indicate the commercial area?
  21. Actinidia: Yes. We're going to build walls there.
  22. Actinidia: Though, where should the gates be?
  23. Narrator: Thickness?
  24. Narrator: For reference, your borders are 11m thick.
  25. Actinidia: At least 5. Since they are inner walls, I'm not sure if they should be thicker. Perhaps a walkway up top, watchtower in the corner and one gate.
  26. Actinidia: Green marks the sides of the gate.
  27. Actinidia: Any thoughts from others?
  28. Actinidia: This is about half pulled out of my butt. The reason the gate is to the north is to block LoS to the flower. And because any arena will probably be built to the north.
  29. Narrator: If there's no voice agaisnt, I'll paint it now. It'll be done by the you guys return from whatever adventure you set out in.
  30. DNA: I'm trying to figure out where the fourth corner is
  31. DNA: I see 3 targets; is the fourth just assumed bottom left?
  32. Narrator: Correct.
  33. Grace Leonhardt: I think so
  34. Actinidia: Yes, the walls meet up with the larger outer wall.
  35. DNA: And that's going to be the 'outer court'
  36. DNA: That seems like a decently sized area.
  37. Grace: Aka shopping/entry screening!
  38. Actinidia: Indeed! Pokemon center, etc...
  39. Actinidia: In the northern left corner, above the wall I imagine further buildings being put up, if we need more space.
  40. Actinidia: But this will do for now.
  41. Grace: Looooks good!
  42. DNA: SUFFICIENT.
  43. Narrator: _b?
  44. Actinidia: Yus!
  45. Actinidia: Unless we want a tower in the upper right corner, or something fancy.
  46. Actinidia: It'd be a lookout point and a way to reach the top of the wall and patrol, if need be.
  47. Narrator: Just added vision blocking.
  48. Grace: Hmmmm... having a lookout there would be bretty good.
  49. Narrator: Not as cool at the first one I had grabbed.
  50. Narrator: Hm.
  51. Narrator: I do believe I painted as a token.
  52. Narrator: Well, shit
  53. Narrator: That work?
  54. DNA: I like it! It's like part of the formation.
  55. Narrator: Will be weird with vision blocking (not much I can do about that)
  56. Actinidia: That works!
  57. Grace: *big thumbs up*
  58. Narrator: So, I believe we're good?
  59. Actinidia: Indeed, I am ready to begin.
  60. DNA: Let battle or something commence!
  61. Grace: Ye!
  62. July 28th, Wednesday.
  63. 71 degrees with 61 degree humidity. It feels nice.
  64. 12 mph wind blowing southeast.
  65. It's sunny.
  66. Time: 6:45 PM
  67. Narrator: Would it help if you guys did a recap together?
  68. Actinidia: Hm, might be.
  69. DNA: So Trinity the Florges, and the Gardevoir whose name I forget, came here with an offering of peace. They're here from the observatory, which is currently on high alert - which is why they came to us.
  70. DNA: Only people so far who don't seem to know as much as us - and are willing to trade info so readily!
  71. Narrator: Gabriel
  72. DNA: Thank you
  73. Actinidia: We gave them a lum berry, and had gifts given to us as well.
  74. Actinidia: We were going to speak with Slen for some reason, I am having trouble recalling.
  75. Actinidia: Actinidia also requested that Hjadvir's find a dozen or so volunteers to go live with the spiders, and Hjadvir himself was going to attempt an all-berry diet to see how it worked out.
  76. Grace Leonhardt: So at the moment, that leaves the issues of the Blood folk, children with pokeballs, contacting the other factions, including this new one involving the clockwork leader's, the radio, and the shopkeep's family being a bit MIA.
  77. Actinidia: Is that it?
  78. Actinidia: I think it might be it.
  79. Grace Leonhardt: I'm pretty sure for high on the to-do list.
  80. DNA: That is what I remember, yes.
  81. Actinidia: So we're ready to begin.
  82. Slen: Slen is standing in front his shop with his eyes closed and arms folded. He's breathing calmly. In an almost serene-like state.
  83. Actinidia: Actinidia sits still nearby, waiting for him to notice, or finish what he might be doing.
  84. Slen: Slen doesn't take any notice of you or seems to change from his position.
  85. Grace Leonhardt: Grace is curiously watching him, wondering if this was something involved with being mega evolved or fairy typed...?
  86. Actinidia: "May we bother you for a moment?" Actinidia asked.
  87. Slen: Slen flinches for a moment before opening his eyes and turning to you, "Ah - of course."
  88. Actinidia: "Are you bothered by something?" She asked first, "Or did I interrupt a meditiation?"
  89. Slen: "Oh, not at all! I just fell asleep on my feet." Slen chuckled nervously, "Happens sometimes. You're not interrupting anything."
  90. Actinidia: "A quick question to get out of the way, first of all. Grace is a pokemon who mega-evolves..." Actinidia turned her head back to Grace, letting her speak up with any questions she might have about the process.
  91. Grace Leonhardt: Grace will be slightly caught off guard at the mention of her name drop, but asking about Mega evolving was probably gonna happen with her anyway. Seeing her moment with Act backing up, she'll clear her throat. "R-Right! Uh, how did you... or how are you able to mega evolve? like you are now?"
  92. Slen: Slen tilts his head, "I don't think it's really any different than a normal evolution to be honest. My wife and I Mega Evolved around the same time. My daughter actually seemed resistant to evolution. Last I saw her she was still a Pichu."
  93. Slen: "And to be honest? It just sort of...happened. For me it happened early on, amid some sort of skirmish. My wife evolved when we were....uh..."
  94. Slen: Slen clears his throat, "Exploring our new forms together. It was startling to say the least."
  95. Slen: "My wife is a natural in combat, unlike myself and my daughter has a tendency to show either of us up so I don't think it has to do with fighting potential, personal power or anything like that. It's like different for everyone."
  96. Actinidia: "Sounds so. Would you... happen to have any items that prompt evolution? We've stumbled into a few ourselves."
  97. Slen: "I have many goods. Now, I don't know if any in particular would prompt evolution."
  98. Actinidia: "Do you mind if I have a look-through? I remember what one of them looked like, I might be able to pick something out."
  99. Slen: "No, not at all."
  100. Grace Leonhardt: Grace blushes a touch at the explenation as it trailed on. "A-Ah. Fair enough I suppose..." She'll look around for a second before taking a breath to get herself calm. "Well, any stones that look like they have uh... DNA helixes? I think that's a decent discription...?"
  101. Slen: (( I'll just list th eitems. GIve me a moment to type it out. ))
  102. Actinidia: (Okay!)
  103. Slen: Fire/Rock/Water Incense
  104. Adrenaline Orb
  105. Berserk Gene
  106. Big Root
  107. Cleanse Tag
  108. Destiny Knot
  109. Expert Belt
  110. Float Stone
  111. Grip Claw
  112. Heat Rock
  113. Icy Rock
  114. King's Rock
  115. Luminous Moss
  116. Metronome
  117. Protective Pads
  118. Quick Claw
  119. Red Card
  120. Smooth Rock
  121. Toxic Orb
  122. Wise Glasses
  123. Zoom Lens
  124.
  125. All Traveling Gear
  126. All Tools
  127.
  128. Ether x5
  129. Potion x20
  130. Basic Injury Kit x2
  131. Actinidia: "This root... it calls to me..." Actinidia prodded it with her tail. "How much is it worth?"
  132. DNA: I need to look a few of those up...
  133. Actinidia: (Big root. Actinidia is so built for that item its not funny)
  134. Grace Leonhardt: Seeing what looked to be a black belt, she couldn't help but perk up at that. Pointing at the Expert Belt, "How much is that?"
  135. Slen: Slen looks it over and chuckles, "Well, items like those sold a lot on the streets, but you guys are letting me set up here. I'll give you a 50% discount on my wares - up until you start charging me rent."
  136. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Is this a subtle hint not to charge you rent?" Mars said with a smile.
  137. Slen: Slen shrugs, "Possibly! I don't see any reason to beat around the bush with you guys."
  138. Slen: "But the root there, seems to enhance healing properties. I don't think I need to explain why it's such an in-demand items. I've sold one before for 25 green gems."
  139. Slen: "I'll give it to you for 12 though. Staying in line with my discount. The belt though, that'd be 9 green gems."
  140. Slen: "I'm not a bad guy though! I'm willing to trade not just for gems though. If you have bits and baubles you don't need or want, we can trade. I'd think myself pretty fair."
  141. Actinidia: "Right, the currencies. We don't see much of that coming in. Do you have any idea where we might? Clearly they are being discovered somewhere
  142. Pierce Mars Oswell: "The pads speak to me, though I don't have many gems on me - most of my worth is just from travel gear."
  143. Slen: "From what I recall, old world currencies changes into it. And sometimes other things but I've heard conflicting reports on what turned into them and didn't."
  144. Actinidia: "We should have been checking stores more thoroughly..."
  145. Pierce Mars Oswell: "But we weren't looking for money, Act. We were looking for tools. Survival gear. How would we know what new money would look like?"
  146. Actinidia: "I have blue and red ones..."
  147. Slen: "I can explain it to you if you like."
  148. Grace Leonhardt: Grace sorts through her bag, and will try to check the contents if it's worth the Expert Belt. But she'll hold out one of the red ones. "What are these ones worth?"
  149. Slen: "The green gems are the rarest ones. The blue gems are uncommon and red gems are common."
  150. Slen: "At about a one-hundred to one ratio."
  151. Slen: "Things like this root and belt are practically magic. They're hard to come by and completely changes a persons survival capability. I'd say people kill over these things but not much'll push someone to kill these days."
  152. Grace Leonhardt: Grace's ears fold back as she stashes the one she pulled out. "Fair enough. Could you put that Belt on hold? The uh, black one?" She'll say pointing to the expert belt.
  153. Slen: "Sure thing. I don't mind."
  154. Slen: "But note I'm not against just trading. In your travels I'm sure you'll find, if you haven't already, your own magical items."
  155. Pierce Mars Oswell: "If you don't mind setting the pads aside as well for me, I wouldn't mind - but if you find someone who really wants it, don't hold it back on my account. ...Hopefully I can arrange a barter with you later."
  156. Slen: Slen nods to Mars, "Will do."
  157. Pierce Mars Oswell: "And it's not urgent." He fiddles with the Eviolite in his hand. "I'll need to be bigger."
  158. Actinidia: "I do have this seed." Actinidia held out her Grassy Seed. "Would that be worth that root?"
  159. Slen: Slen eyes the eviolite Mars has, "That's worth roughly seven green gems. The thing you have there."
  160. Grace Leonhardt: "Hmmmm... I don't have much at the moment. The others have their stuff. I mainly have a lot of a lot of chocolate... Heheh..."
  161. Slen: Slen eyes the grassy seed for a moment, "About 8 green gems."
  162. Pierce Mars Oswell: "And how much do you value the pads at?"
  163. Slen: "I'm not super big into chocolate myself, but I know my wife loves it. She may be willing to make a deal with you when she gets here."
  164. Pierce Mars Oswell: Mars glances over to Grace. "I know you have a new body now, but too much chocolate is still bad for you. Don't overdo it."
  165. Slen: "For you? I'd say about 6 green gems."
  166. Pierce Mars Oswell: "...Then I'll make it happen once I get bigger. ...Whenever that is."
  167. Grace Leonhardt: Grace will stick her tongue out at Mars. "I'll have my own vice, you have yours."
  168. Slen: Slen nods to Mars.
  169. Pierce Mars Oswell: "I have a bit too much on my mind to worry about vices.
  170. Pierce Mars Oswell: "More on the topic, has your family been gone long? Do you know when they'll get back?"
  171. Slen: Slen frowns, "I've been trying not to think about it. They've been gone longer than I'd like. I'm certain I indicated the location I'd be staying at clearly. I should have only been waiting for them for a day. That was what we agreed upon."
  172. Grace Leonhardt: "Oh! Well,, we were gonna do another scouting run. We can go see if we can spot them while we're out if you wish!"
  173. Slen: Slen nods, "I'd very much appreciate it. If you find them and make sure they get here safely, assuming they're in any trouble, I'd give you something for free. My family is precious to me."
  174. Pierce Mars Oswell: "I don't mind looking. What do they look like?"
  175. Slen: Slen thinks for a moment, "Well, my wife is a uh..." Slen pauses, "She's a round white humanoid creature."
  176. Slen: "Well, sort of whitish pink. She has bright pink eyes and has these beautiful tendrils coming out of her ears and neck."
  177. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Round, whitish pink, tendrils out of the ears and neck..."
  178. Slen: "She's about five and a half feet tall."
  179. Slen: "My daughter is a Pichu, if she hasn't evolved. I don't think I need to explain what she looks like."
  180. Grace Leonhardt: She'll mull over who his wife is, before perking up, "Does she have a little fluffy tuft under the neck?"
  181. Slen: Slen nods to Grace, "And on her rear. It's adorable."
  182. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Pichu is a..." He tries to think. "...Sorry, I don't remember."
  183. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Might have seen a picture once in that book, but I can't remember."
  184. Grace Leonhardt: Grace will snap her finger, "I think she's a Mega Audino! And uh... Pichu is a baby version of pikachu."
  185. Slen: "She was about two feet tall, last I remember."
  186. Pierce Mars Oswell: "That doesn't help me much either. What color, shape?"
  187. Slen: "Like mickey mouse. Yellow and black. Red circles on her cheeks."
  188. Actinidia: "Pichu is small and yellow. Round head, half the size of hte body."
  189. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Got it. I can remember that."
  190. Grace Leonhardt: "Pikachu coloring, just a bit lighter."
  191. Actinidia: "Do you remember where they were planning to go? Any hints? Or which direction they left toward?"
  192. Slen: "The radio tower. The northern one."
  193. Slen: "We wanted to put the word out about us as a sales group and to get any information about how things began. Maybe put out a few notices."
  194. Actinidia: "We've had a boom box turned to that station for a while. I'll ask Hjadvir if there's been any mention of your shop or location. If there hasn't then they never made it to the station. This might be dangerous, I thought it was strange how the dj didn't seem to know much about what was going on..."
  195. Grace Leonhardt: "Oh! That... puts that higher on the list now!"
  196. Slen: Slen frowns heavily, "Well, that radio tower is near both a church. Maybe that's a hideout for another settlement?"
  197. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Looks like we're going to pay that tower a visit just a little sooner."
  198. Pierce Mars Oswell: "It's possible. I'm not sure if the church would be a settlement or a trap, though. Regardless, we'll need to look into it."
  199. Actinidia: Actinidia returns to the camp, asking Hjadvir if any such news had come over the radio.
  200. Hjadvir (The Father): Hjadvir (The Father) tilts his head, munching on a Lum Berry, "Mmf. No, I admit I haven't been listening to that device you brought in all that much. I can just leave it on if you like. But it's mostly just been announcing songs from what I remember."
  201. Grace Leonhardt: "Either way, we're gonna be on it Slen!" SHe'll say as she scoots after Act
  202. Actinidia: Actinidia nodded. "Leaving it on will be a good idea, maybe have someone listening to it so we get all the news. We're going to head out and find the station, hopefully getting some time with our favorite DJ."
  203. Actinidia: Actinidia makes her excuses, saying they are going to venture out again, before reuniting with the others at Slen's shop. Or on the way back, at least.
  204. Grace Leonhardt: "The song that it usually mentions have some kind of relevence to something going on. If you can catch anything that involves the white house, or the like be weary. And if anything is said besides song tiltes, let us know!" She'll say to Hjadvir before going to pick up some of her things insie of the white house, and making her way back to the group.
  205. Hjadvir (The Father): Hjadvir (The Father) nods to both Actinidia and Grace, "Will do. You guys be careful out there."
  206. Actinidia: We're on the road again~
  207. * Pierce Mars Oswell leads the group cautiously.
  208. Narrator: Destination?
  209. Grace Leonhardt: That radiostation to the south!
  210. Actinidia: To the north radio tower!
  211. Actinidia: Slen said north.
  212. Pierce Mars Oswell: Northern radio tower!
  213. Grace Leonhardt: I brain smart... Northern!
  214. Narrator: 98
  215. DNA: that d100 tho
  216. Narrator: The radio tower looks to be about 11 hours of travel to the north. Along the way you'll pass by an elementary school that's about 6 hours of travel north. Between the school and the tower, to the west, is where the church is.
  217. Narrator: Oh. You weren't supposed to see that roll.
  218. DNA: Heheheheh
  219. Actinidia: So what did we know about the school and the church?
  220. Narrator: You'll be heading out from the White House at roughly 7:30 in the evening.
  221. Narrator: And you are gaurenteed your first five hours, if you leave right now, of an uneventful travel.
  222. Actinidia: Travel, rest, travel? Does everyone else feel like this is a good idea? Or should we wait until morning?
  223. Actinidia: I say travel, rest, travel
  224. Grace Leonhardt: No objections there!
  225. Narrator: While you guys figure this out, I'll feed my cat.
  226. DNA: I also vote for travel-rest-travel
  227. Grace Leonhardt: makes sense, and if there's some open stuff at the elementary to stay at.
  228. Narrator: I am now also brewing tea. I'll depart to fix it when my kettle begins whistling.
  229. DNA: FWEEEEEEEEEEEEET
  230. Narrator: So, the school is 6 hours out. You're guarenteed 5 hours of safety.
  231. Narrator: Checking the map...5 hours out puts you in a residential district. You could attempt to take refuge in one of the homes.
  232. Actinidia: We may as well? We might find something interesting. Like money!
  233. Narrator: Actually, wait. You all evolved and Etna isn't with you.
  234. Narrator: What's everyone's Speed now?
  235. Actinidia: 9
  236. Grace Leonhardt: 8
  237. Pierce Mars Oswell: 6-aw, come on!
  238. Pierce Mars Oswell: I need like Running Shoes or something
  239. Narrator: Quick Claw I think is the only item that helps.
  240. Narrator: Or Quick Powder. If you're a Ditto.
  241. Pierce Mars Oswell: Quick Claw or Quick Powder, yes. Rock Polish is a thing, though.
  242. Narrator: Do you know it?
  243. Pierce Mars Oswell: No, and it only lasts for an hour anyway.
  244. Narrator: Yeah, your time doesn't change.
  245. Narrator: GIve me tests if people are going to look for anything specific before just diving into a random house.
  246. Narrator: Tea
  247. Pierce Mars Oswell: I'm going to smell around to make sure the house isn't uninhabited, and/or doesn't smell of blood.
  248. Actinidia: Looking for nicer looking houses, or houses that seem to have people already squatting.
  249. Unresolved value "modifier".
  250. Actinidia: Perception! 5+3+5+1=14 (STUNT! 5 Stunt Points)
  251. Pierce Mars Oswell: Smelling 6+2+5+5=18
  252. Actinidia: Speedy Search
  253. Grace Leonhardt: Looking for any place that isn't ransacked to all heck
  254. Grace Leonhardt: 4+2+4+2=12
  255. Actinidia: "I've found two houses that hardly seemed touched, aside from the damage."
  256. Narrator whispers: You don't smell any FRESH blood in the houses on the block. But there's dried or old blood in several of the homes to be sure.
  257. Grace Leonhardt: Grace will point out two as well. "I think I'm seeing the same two, but at least their second floors didn't collapse onto the first."
  258. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Those might be good. I don't smell any fresh blood, just old blood, though I guess that makes sense."
  259. Actinidia: We stay at 1dHouse.
  260. Pierce Mars Oswell: ...you're not helping
  261. Grace Leonhardt: Grace will simply eeny meeny moe to pick a house. Picking the closer one, she'll start walking towards it.
  262. Actinidia: "I will take last watch, for I am tired and would like to recover aura."
  263. Pierce Mars Oswell: "I'll go first, then."
  264. Grace Leonhardt: "I'll take second then!"
  265. Narrator: The entryway to the house isn't locked. Entering the home leaves you with a messy scene of a first floor home. Most things on shelves or tables were knocked over and dust and ceiling tiles are broken and scattered among the floor. Anything ceramic or glass has shattered but things seem otherwise well kept.
  266. Narrator: The staircase leading upstairs is blocked by a pile of debris but the kitchen and door leading into the basement are fine.
  267. Time: 12:44 AM
  268. Actinidia: "Let us check the basement first, to save us from any surprises later."
  269. Narrator: To note: There is a rear door leading into the backyard.
  270. Grace Leonhardt: Grace will be looking at the house, but she'll recoil for a second, but she'll recover. Though she'll be suspect. "...Uh, just needs a sprucer up." SHe'll say as she wanders around the house, eventually checking the entrances, before going to check the backdoor.
  271. Actinidia: Actinidia checks the basement. Her Darkvision helping her see what is in the room.
  272. Pierce Mars Oswell: Mars checks to see if there would be any ways around that debris, easy or otherwise.
  273. Narrator whispers: When Actinidia opens the basement door your nose is assaulted with the scent of rotting corpses.
  274. Narrator whispers: When Actinidia opens the basement door your nose is assaulted with the scent of rotting corpses.
  275. Narrator whispers:
  276. Actinidia: Actinidia recoils from the scent of the basement. "...those with keen noses, stay away from this door."
  277. Narrator whispers: Not at all. It's a large pile covering the entrance from the stairs. It seems to be so immensely packed that it itself is preventing it from spilling into the area below.
  278. Grace Leonhardt: Grace will test the back door, and after a few moments of trying it, she'll pass on trying to bust it down considering a secure door just makes watch easier. She'll take note to check it tomorrow. "Oh?"
  279. Pierce Mars Oswell: "...too late; I can smell it from here."
  280. Actinidia: Actinidia slithers down the steps, holding her breath as much as possible, searching through the boxes for anything interesting, or at least the source of the smell.
  281. Actinidia: Perception (searching) 5+2+3+1=11
  282. Pierce Mars Oswell: "It's the scent of a dead body. ...And there's no way to the upstairs, in either direction."
  283. Grace Leonhardt: "O-Oh. Well, at least there's another house we could try?"
  284. Actinidia: Actinidia returns up stairs. "It's... not a scene you would like to see. I would be fine moving to a different house."
  285. Grace Leonhardt: Grace will stick out her tongue at her mind wandering and them mentioning that there's a smell. "Lets leave yeah." She'll say as she heads to the front door for the other house.
  286. Actinidia: Actinidia follows.
  287. * Pierce Mars Oswell also leaves.
  288. Narrator: When your group reaches the house, you find that the front door is locked.
  289. Actinidia: Actinidia checks the back door.
  290. Grace Leonhardt: Grace will stumble again, and she'll glare at the adress for the house. "Does... any of this look funky to you guys?"
  291. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Any of what?" Mars moves to where Grace is looking.
  292. Actinidia: Actinidia returns to the front, "The back is blocked shut."
  293. Narrator whispers: You presume she's staring at what would be the homes address. It looks like gibberish to you.
  294. Grace Leonhardt: "The lettering? The numbers? Uh... anything weird?"
  295. Actinidia: Actinidia looked too
  296. Actinidia: "It looks like human gibberish."
  297. Grace Leonhardt: She'll pause for a few moments, "...Any... thing on first glance?"
  298. Actinidia: Actinidia looks closer. Perception Seeing 8
  299. Actinidia: "Still gibberish."
  300. Pierce Mars Oswell: "I don't understand it at all; it just looks like garbage. I can take a glance if there's something youw ant me to look at..."
  301. Pierce Mars Oswell: Sight 4+5+3+3=15
  302. Narrator whispers: Still looks like gibberish to you.
  303. Grace Leonhardt: She'll be staring at the lettering, rubbing her eyes, and nothing. She'll pause before wandering off to glare at the neighbor's adress. "I can read it for a second! Before it... goes jibberish!"
  304. Actinidia: "Well anyway... someone might be staying in here. The door was blocked."
  305. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Nothing to me at all. Still garbage. I'm sorry."
  306. Grace Leonhardt: She'll jab a finger at the adress she ran to. "SEE!? Right there! It Said 4900 Macarthur Blvd! But now it's jibberish!"
  307. Actinidia: "maybe you're learning?"
  308. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Does it 'refresh' when you look away and look back at it?"
  309. Grace Leonhardt: She'll pause for a moment. "But... why does it go to jibberish? And uh... no it doesn't."
  310. When Grace taps the address there's a flash of light. Grace's skeletons flashes through her flesh briefly then all returns to normal.
  311. Grace Leonhardt: Grace will start shivering like mad, "AGGGHGGHGAHAHAAAHGAGG. OW"
  312. Actinidia: "Um... I could see your bones."
  313. Pierce Mars Oswell: "...It's wired. That might be why. There's a current running through the sign."
  314. Grace Leonhardt: "WHAT?! I... I thought that was just in cartoons?! Bleh... I think that came from over there!" She'll say to the house that was locked.
  315. Actinidia: "Should we not bother them then?"
  316. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Probably not."
  317. Grace Leonhardt: She'll point at the house. "They tazed me and are like... making me read human for a second! I... think."
  318. Actinidia: "Can you read energy? Maybe because there was electricity it... somehow... I don't know."
  319. Grace Leonhardt: She's going to try and break into the house by seeing if she can fiddle with the lock to the front door. Her agrivation and confusion over reading human getting the better of her.
  320. Grace Leonhardt: 2+2+1+4=9
  321. Grace fiddles with the lock for a moment in an attempt to pick it open, but fails.
  322. Actinidia: "You could push against the back door."
  323. Pierce Mars Oswell: Mars gets out his set of lock picks and gets to work on the door.
  324. Grace Leonhardt: Grace will get agrivated with the lock, but she'll give up before she manages to damage it. Letting out a sigh, "Alright... I'll try the back door. I might be able to force that one open."
  325. Pierce Mars Oswell: wait, is Lock Picking its own focus? I forgot.
  326. Narrator: Yes.
  327. Pierce Mars Oswell: so it is
  328. Actinidia: "Wait for Mars first."
  329. Pierce Mars Oswell: I do have the lockpick item, though I don't know what effect it has here. Lock Picking 1+6+2+6=15
  330. Narrator: A bonus!
  331. Mars navigates the lock picks in his mouth and slips them into the locks before twisting his head. You can hear the mechanism unlock.
  332. Grace Leonhardt: Grace will have her eyebrows shoot up at him picking it with his mouth, and her ears fall back as she tries to focus on going after what's inside that's messing with her.
  333. Narrator: So uh, the door's open.
  334. Actinidia: Perception (hearing) from outside 4+3+2+3=12
  335. Actinidia: "I hear the sound of static... do you smell anything?"
  336. Grace Leonhardt: Grace is mainly just gonna go in as is.
  337. Pierce Mars Oswell: Smelling 6+4+2+5=17
  338. Narrator: You find the home here to be quite similar to the other in terms of layout. Only mirrored. Though the area is mostly covered in cardboard boxes of various sizes. There's a few pieces of polished wood, screws, a hammer and a screwdriver scattered about the floor by the entryway.
  339. Actinidia: "Anything Mars?" Actinidia follows Grace into the room.
  340. Narrator whispers: You smell mostly dust here. There's a distinct lack of blood here.
  341. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Just dust. no blood at all. I feel this place was abandoned."
  342. Narrator: Between the entryway and the kitchen is a living area. It has a large older model television set with a three seat couch across from it. Several unfinished wooden desks and tables decorate the entryway and kitchen.
  343. Narrator: The staricase here is similarly blocked by a condensed pile of debris.
  344. Actinidia: "It looks like someone was building in here..."
  345. Actinidia: Actinidia goes to check the basement, like she had the previous house.
  346. Grace Leonhardt: Grace will be a touch squirrely with this house. She'll try to turn over all the boxes searching for whoever's shocking her and messing with her head. "Hey! Come out wherever you are! I just wanna know why me!"
  347. Narrator: The basement door is open with a rack of foodstuffs attached to it. Several cardboard boxes are piled by the back door.
  348. Grace Leonhardt: 2+3+6+2=13
  349. Pierce Mars Oswell: Hearing to see if there are noises of anyone or anything else. 6+3+3+3=15 (STUNT! 6 Stunt Points)
  350. Pierce Mars Oswell: OH SURE NOW I STUNT
  351. Narrator whispers: The faint sound of static emits from the house, though you cannot pinpoint from where.
  352. Pierce Mars Oswell: Speedy Search, Resources at Hand - Hearing
  353. Grace Leonhardt: Grace is gonna have a chill go up her spine. Taking a moment to take a breath, she'll close her eyes and think. 6+4+5+2=17
  354. Grace Leonhardt: Object of my attention for the stunt
  355. Actinidia: Actinidia checks the metal cabinet before going back up stairs.
  356. Actinidia: When Actinidia returns upstairs, she is carrying a large wooden and metal old-style chest. The chest is locked.
  357. Grace Leonhardt: Grace will pause, and in her meditative focus, her dreads will float for a split second before her eyes dart over to the tv. Curious, she'll slowly approach it, before poping a squat infront of it and patting the side of the boob toob. "...Hello?"
  358. Pierce Mars Oswell: Hearing to zone in on the sound of static. 3+5+6+5=19
  359. Narrator whispers: You're unable to pinpoint the sound until Grace pats the television set. Suddenly the sound appears to be emitting from the television set exclusively. There's a faint hum like the t.v. is on and a faint static sound like it lacks connection to any service. But the television however is not powered on at all.
  360. Pierce Mars Oswell: Mars looks at the television set, specifically, the back of it.
  361. Narrator whispers: It looks like an old style television set even from the rear. Screwed into one of its ports is an old style antennae and its adapter is plugged into a nearby outlet.
  362. Grace Leonhardt: She'll pause for a few moments. "TV... electric stuff? Hmmm... Are you a rotom?" She'll just say speaking out loud. "I uh... I'm not here to hurt you. I was just a touch shocked by the... shock."
  363. Pierce Mars Oswell: "The TV isn't even on but I can hear a static hum from it. It's plugged in, it's just...not on."
  364. Narrator: There is no answer to Grace's speech.
  365. Grace Leonhardt: She'll hum again, "How are you getting me to see human?" She'll ask trying to get some response.
  366. Narrator: There is no response.
  367. Actinidia: "Can you turn it on?"
  368. Grace Leonhardt: Grace will pause for a moment, before blushing at that not even coming to her own mind. She'll try to change the channel.
  369. Grace Leonhardt: Seeing that the static hum was just the hum and not the channel being on wrong, she'll push the power button on first before testing anything else.
  370. Narrator: When Grace twists the nob to turn on the television...
  371. Narrator: 9 vs. DEF
  372. DNA: lel
  373. There's a bright flash of light and the glass suddenly bursts with a loud crash. The glass, however, sinks into the wall behind Grace missing her entirely.
  374. Pierce Mars Oswell: "!? Grace! You okay?!"
  375. * Pierce Mars Oswell has already made his way to the front of the set to check on Grace.
  376. A pulsing golden glow emits from within the television set.
  377. Grace Leonhardt: Grace will flintch and hold her hands up, but as she realizes the glass missed her, she'll pat herself down, before looking into the remains of the TV. "I... I think I'm good? It... somehow missed me...? Huh?" Grace will reach into the TV to grab at the two objects that were glowing.
  378. Actinidia: Actinidia continues to watch, startled by the events but relieved no one was hurt.
  379. Narrator: I placed an image of it in your PC box Grace.
  380. Grace Leonhardt: 6+1+1+7=15
  381. Actinidia: "What is it?"
  382. Grace Leonhardt: Grace will be saying, "It looks like a pair of geeEEEEEMS" She'll shudder for a moment, before relaxing, apparently the shocking wasn't nearly as bad. Picking them up, she'll show that she was holding onto two yellow gems. "Bleh... Uh... I think... these aren't held items? I think these things can kinda... help you kinda learn electric stuff???" She'll say rather confused, but she'll be speaking like she knows.
  383. Actinidia: "Like a TM?"
  384. Grace Leonhardt: "...Not exactly. I think it's better? Like... you know you learn moves whenever you get stronger? I think it can also be used to learn electric ones too?"
  385. Grace Leonhardt: "It's super weird... but... I wanna try it." She'll pause for a few moments, before she crushes one in her paw.
  386. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Well, this ought to be interesting..."
  387. Grace holds up the pulsing golden gem and stares into it with intensity, as if making up her mind on what she wants. The pulsing grows more rapid when she's about crush the gem in her paw and when she does it explodes in her paw into a goldem mist. The mist flows into the air before swirling around her and then into her being, as if she's absorbing it. Her body shines and glows with a strong golden light for a moment before the light fade and Grace returns to normal.
  388. DNA: Obtained 1 Spirit Orb!
  389. Narrator: Deleting one of the Pulsing Gems.
  390. Grace Leonhardt: She'll recoil a touch at the sudden burst of mist, and overtaking of it, before relaxing as things seem to quiet down for a moment. Looking around, she'll let out a sigh. "Wew... That was intense. For this little thing."
  391. Actinidia: Actinidia yawned deeply. "I'm.. sorry. The lack of sunlight is starting to get to me. I'm going to have a laydown. I found this chest, if you want to take a crack at it Mars. Wake me up for my watch..." Actinidia coils in the corner of the room.
  392. Pierce Mars Oswell: "...I guess I can get to that now, since I'm taking first watch. Grace, you feel free to get some sleep."
  393. Pierce Mars Oswell: Lock Picking 4+6+5+53=68
  394. Pierce Mars Oswell: Hold up I mistyped
  395. Pierce Mars Oswell: my mod is 6
  396. Narrator: HAHAHAHA
  397. Pierce Mars Oswell: 21
  398. Grace Leonhardt: Grace will pause for a few moments, and will nod her head looking at her paws. "I... suppose I should. I'm feeling a touch tired anyway."
  399. Pierce Mars Oswell: My fingers are just TOO DAMN FAT SOMETIMES
  400. Actinidia: Mars glances at the box and it pops open.
  401. DNA: And while I'm at it I'll just destroy the meat hooks too
  402. Mars uses his lock picks and unlocks the chest Actinidia found.
  403. Narrator whispers: Inside the chest Mars finds [r:36*100] blue gems.
  404. Narrator whispers: Well. Thanks whisper. You ruined it.
  405. Narrator: 3600
  406. Narrator: That much.
  407. DNA: ayy
  408. Narrator: Have fun carrying it.
  409. Pierce Mars Oswell: "...whoa."
  410. Pierce Mars Oswell: 1080.0
  411. DNA: It's nearing 9pm, so I guess we can rotate through the night? Does anything happen during the night, GM?
  412. Narrator: Depends. How long are you guys sleeping for?
  413. Narrator: Full 8? or 6? And how are the rotations doing?
  414. DNA: It's up to Act since she wants to recover the most Aura. I plan to spend one-third of that time awake, and sleeping the other two-thirds to recover my power.
  415. Actinidia: I have to find resting rules.
  416. Grace: Grace is more just wanting to think about what that was, and possibly studying the cuirous little rock that's left.
  417. Narrator: Page 155
  418. Narrator: 1d6+aura per hour or 100% aura for 8 hours.
  419. Actinidia: Then between 4 and 6 would be fine. So each of us takes a 3 hour watch and gets 6 hours of sleep?
  420. Narrator: 6 hours of rest heals 10+vit+level health.
  421. DNA: I wouldn't mind that.
  422. Grace: Sounds about right
  423. Actinidia: 3 hours of Mars, with 3 hours of Grace, then 3 hours of Actinidia.
  424. Narrator: That'd be what? 12 hours total?
  425. Actinidia: 9
  426. DNA: 9
  427. Narrator: Okie doke.
  428. Narrator: So you'd awaken around 10:35 AM.
  429. Narrator: Nope, nothing during the rest.
  430. Narrator: Gonna do this now so I don't forget.
  431. Actinidia: 53 PP restored.
  432. Actinidia: Actinidia is recovers 38 power.
  433. DNA: I'm at full PP, and almost full HP

  450. * Pierce Mars Oswell wakes up but feels like the humidity is crushing him like a weight. All of that armor doesn't help him very much.
  451. Narrator: Yeah, it's after midnight and I have a thing early this morning to do with Ben and Mike.
  452. Pierce Mars Oswell: Indeed.
  453. Narrator: Gonna cut it here. But I'm glad to be back running this game with you guys~
  454. Grace Leonhardt: Grace will wake up herself, and pop her back. "Yeah... it kinda does."
  455. DNA: TINY GRACE
  456. Grace: Gotcha gotcha!
  457. Grace: Que?
  458. Grace Leonhardt: Huh. It's doing that thing again.
  459. Narrator: I fixed it.
  460. Grace Leonhardt: apparently you did!
  461. DNA: Yeah, it's because there are 2 tokens with the exact same name. It defaults to the one that was placed first.
  462. Narrator: I added a space to the end of tiny grace's name.
  463. Narrator: So she counts as different.
  464. Grace: Gotcha! Also, due to that gem, and that DBZ thing, She's gonna get magnet rise.
  465. Actinidia: Does that actually let her fly?
  466. Narrator: Pretty sure it grants flight.
  467. Grace: flight trait+ground resist for an hour!
  468. Narrator: It does.
  469. Narrator: Ground immunity to be exact.
  470. DNA: I should pick up Magnet Rise at some point.
  471. Grace: We could logic her using the steel for magnet rising! :U
  472. Grace: The spikes start getting zappy and she floats!
  473. DNA: Steel-types can apply for Magnet Rise, yes.
  474. Narrator: I forget.
  475. Narrator: DNA, was it Thunder or Zap Cannon that you really like?
  476. Grace: But now it's tazery!
  477. DNA: Thunder
  478. Narrator: Feel free to share the items effects in the Skype chat, Grace.
  479. Narrator: You still have 1 more.
  480. Narrator: Saving campaign and log~
  481. Narrator is disconnected.
