  1. appearance a gregarious, piano-playing crocodile statue
  2.
  3. dropped A green marble statue of a gregarious piano-playing crocodile stands joyfully here.
  4.
  5. examined Though technically carved to scale, the individual depicted by this joyful statue could only be described as 'larger than life'. Tenuously stuffed into a formal tailcoat at least a few sizes too small, this roly-poly reptile is shown with his claws at the keyboard of what appears to be a somewhat diminutive grand piano. The crocodile's jaws are open in a broad grin, tongue lolling out, and one of his feet is raised, giving him the appearance of dancing along with his own playing. A top hat is perched upon his head, tilting to the side with his imagined movement, and from beneath it there peeks a second, tiny crocodile who likewise seems to be enjoying the music and the show. The entire statue has been carved masterfully from green marble, at once glossy and immobile and strangely lifelike in its execution.
