  1. The griffon king carried himself with the weight of a Buffalo stud, towering above the royal guards – even his own – as he strut down the halls of Canterlot Castle. His golden, elongated beak was stiffly raised upwards in a sign of pure arrogance; he ignored the beautifully carved mosaics and stained glass windows. Equestria current and ancient history; the King knew enough of it already.
  2. He and his troupe made it to the Princesses Hall eventually. The King’s personal bodyguard of some of the meanest, fiercest looking griffons fanned out, eyeing the finest Equestria had to offer with a dismissive peek. The King himself strode up the royal red carpet and straight to Celestia’s golden throne. Luna’s was currently absent.
  3. “King, it’s a pleasure to see you again,” Celestia greeted with a polite smile and a customary curtsey. “I hope we can resolve these issues along-”
  4. Celestia paused as the King simultaneously bowed to her. Instead of rising back up, the King stayed at the princess’s hooves, holding her right hoof gently with his talons. “Princess Celestia…” the King said, slowly raising neck to now stare her in the eyes, his brows lidded. Clasped gently in his left talons was her raised hoof. “… Would you ever consider Queen Celestia?”
  5. The hall was silent. Celestia and the King’s royal guards watched them closely. Some on edge, others curious and some insulted. Celestia however returned his lidded brows and smooth words with an amused smirk. “King, you may have gotten a blush from my sister,” She said, politely removing her hoof from his grasp. “But I’ve been talking to you for decades now.”
  6. The King chuckled in return as he picked himself back up. “It was merely a diplomatic proposition!” Not even his guards believed him. “What better way to bring our two nations together?”
  7. “I’m sure meant to say ‘what better way to bring out two bodies together,’” Celestia said, still smirking as she strode past the King.
  8. “You know me too well, Princess," he replied, matching pace with her.
