- You peer at Edain suspiciously.
- (Luminaries): Elim says, "'ow are ya?"
- You wryly say, "'ello to you too."
- Squinting, Edain Tenor says to you, "What? Don't look at me like that. I'm
- coming to the sermon."
- (Luminaries): Ilarin says, "Hmmm... wonderful."
- Edain's pierced face splits into a wide, boyish grin.

- think. (( If you just type library while in it it will come up with a list of
- commands. )) It costs about 500 gold each."
- (Enorian): You say, "Anyone else interested? Any who are, simply come to Four
- Corners."
- Edain follows you to the south.
- Edain follows you to the east.
- Four Corners on Nordau Street.

- indomitable will of the Beacon of Light. A wooden stake has been left here. Atop

- doing."
- Daskalos arrives from the north.
- Daskalos leaves to the in.
- Lianca tells you, "I'll be there in just a few moments!"
- Casting off her final fetters, the luminous lady awakens fully, shedding her
- joyful light from horizon to horizon.
- (Luminaries): You say, "I am going to do a sermon on Lord Damariel at Four
- Corners for those who wish to attend."
- Valingar arrives from the west.
- Valingar places his palms together in front of his chest and bows respectfully.
- Valingar tilts his head back, inhaling sharply several times.
- (Luminaries): Rashar says, "Unfortunately, I just spent the last two and a half
- days at an event in Lord Slyphe's honor. I'm all Divine'd out!"
- You have emoted: Maite clasps both gloved hands in front, before bowing
- respectfully towards Valingar.
- Alee enters from the northeast, riding a powerful russet charger.
- Edain acknowledges Valingar with a nod of his head.
- (Luminaries): Daegon says, "There is no such thing as being all Divined out.
- Considering we are made of Divine essence."
- Aryanne arrives from the north.
- (Luminaries): You say, "Understood."
- Alee gracefully hops off of a powerful russet charger.
- Alee kneels onto one knee, demonstrating her humility and respect.
- The sounds of children playing touch upon your ears from within the city.
- (Luminaries): Rashar says, "I would be interested in a more personal discussion
- with you at a later point in time, though."
- (Luminaries): You say, "Feel free to contact me at anytime I am awake."
- (Enorian): You say, "Anyone else?"
- Valingar tilts his head back, inhaling sharply several times.
- Edain ceases to wield a solemn, keen-edged bastard sword, securing it to his
- weaponbelt.
- Lianca arrives from the west.
- Edain shifts from one foot to the other, ornate fullplate inset with stained
- glass sounding with a metallic tone.
- Alee stands up and stretches her arms out wide.
- You have emoted: Maite shifts and adjusts her clothing, even though they do not
- need it. "Looks like it is just us."
- Lady Alee Noreneno says, "Some people let their distractions get the better of
- them... it happens."
- Lady Alee Noreneno says, "It doesn't mean there is any less merit to your
- sermon."
- Alee smiles at you.
- Aryanne looks around uncomfortably as she slinks off to the west, doing her best
- to not look attached to the assembled group.
- Aryanne leaves to the west.
- The body of Dwodin appears in a flash and his soul descends to fill it, causing
- the previously expressionless face to fill with emotion.
- Dwodin touches an obsidian and iron stud earring.
- You have emoted: Maite flashes a nervous smile at Alee. "Well, here goes, I
- suppose!"
- Lianca ceases to wield a fiery aetherstaff of swirling spatial motes in her left
- hand.
- beseech damariel for sermon
- --> You appear to have caused an untrapped error in the code. Please don't
- execute this command again right now.
- You have emoted: Maite finds a place to stand where she can be easily seen, so
- she can better address those gathered. While the crowd settles, Maite's head is
- lowered, followed by a brief prayer asking that the hearts and minds of those
- around to be open. She speaks then, addressing everyone in a clear and
- passionate tone. "I am here to let you know that any who choose to follow Lord
- Damariel are welcome! You need not be a strong fighter, nor a gifted scholar!"
- Alee stands up and stretches her arms out wide.
- Edain reaches up, and - very carefully - scratches beside one bright eye with a
- gauntleted fingertip.
- You have emoted: Maite points around to all those gathered, tone increasing in
- fervor as she speaks. "All that you need is a desire, a calling to learn more
- about Him, apply His ways to your own, and you will be given a place where you
- can belong!"
- You have emoted: Maite's tone changes - she speaks gravely, but still just as
- passionately. "Many, especially those who are more experienced, start to see the
- fight against Darkness as something that will never end. Which makes it is easy
- to lose hope." She points again, this time lingering on each person before
- moving on. "Unless you start changing now, start learning how to better be an
- example to those who are draped in the Shadow's grasp, how else will things ever
- improve? It is up to YOU to make a difference."
- You have emoted: Maite makes eye contact with some within the crowd. "Lord
- Damariel and His order offer guidance to any who ask it. He offers, by way of
- contract, that by following His tenets and fetters, He will give His blessing
- and protection against Artifice and Darkness, and will be granted the eventual
- promise of Liberation." She concludes, gesturing skyward, with a final question:
- "Can you leave that offer sitting there, without even considering the
- possibilities?"
- Aryanne slips in and tip-toes behind Edain, slipping her arm around the man to
- slip a dust-laden rum bottle into Edain's hand as quietly as possible.
- Edain's pierced face creases into a frown, which he casts at Aryanne. With the
- impromptu gift in one steel-coated hand, he presses a dust-laden rum bottle full
- of Death's Breath Hooch Rum back into her grasp.
- Edain gives a dust-laden rum bottle to Aryanne.
- You have emoted: Maite steps down from her makeshift stand, wiping her hands off
- on her clothes. "That is all I wished to say, unless there are questions or
- comments."
- Aryanne takes the bottle back with a heavily muted giggle of deliight before
- slinking back away.
- Aryanne leaves to the west.
- Valingar is settled comfortably one of the benches, his arm draped over the back
- of it, and he cricks his head to one side, then the other, before leaping to his
- feet. "No questions from me, but it was a good speech," he congratulates you,
- offering a brief smile.
- Valingar places his palms together in front of his chest and bows respectfully.
- Valingar leaves to the northeast.
- Alee's mouth turns up as her face breaks into a smile.
- Diancecht arrives from the northeast.
- He is followed by a sinuous weasel.
- The bright sun shines down upon you.
- A sinuous weasel begins to follow Lianca.
- Melantha is enveloped in translucent fire for a moment and is gone, her soul
- safe until she returns to Aetolia.
- Lady Alee Noreneno says to you, "That was wonderful sermon."
- Lady Alee Noreneno says to you, "You serve Him well."
- You have emoted: Maite's cheeks flush at the compliment. "I only try."
- Lianca smiles at you and briefly hugs you, "That was wonderful! Thank you." She
- takes a step back as Diancecht enters and she nods to him in greeting.
- Diancecht bows respectfully to Lianca.
- You have emoted: Maite returns Lianca's hug, smiling as she steps away.
- You tell Edain, "Good of you, to not take the alcohol, and be polite about it."
- Edain tells you, "She's just playing with me."
- Edain tells you, "That was good."
- You have emoted: Maite slips her hands inside the opposite sleeves of her tunic.
- "I know many can be intimidated by the restrictions we in the order apply to
- ourselves, and I just want to let people know that they are worth the cost."
- Edain tells you, "Next time we should talk about the Contract, I think, and His
- Promise. It's... important."
- You tell Edain, "Yes. It is. I was going to see if you wished to talk after
- this, see where you are at."
- Edain's nostrils flare in a quiet snort. "Cost? Not really a cost. Just fewer
- distractions," he breathes.
- Smiling, Lady Alee Noreneno says, "No doubt, though I just simply prefer to
- follow mine... its not the restrictions that ever stopped me."
- Diancecht leaves to the west.
- You have emoted: Maite tilts her head towards Alee. "May I ask what is stopping
- you?"
- Lady Alee Noreneno says, "I already serve Lord Dhar."
- You say to Edain, "I feel the same way."
- Comprehension flashes across your face.
- With a nod, Edain Tenor says to Lady Alee Noreneno, "Good."
- The body of Melantha appears in a flash and her soul descends to fill it,
- causing the previously expressionless face to fill with emotion.
- The night sky is clear, and the stars twinkle like diamonds.
- Daegon enters from the northeast, riding a donkey.
- Daegon bows his head respectfully.
- You say, "Still a common goal, common purpose in our struggle."
- Alee nods her head emphatically.
- You smile and say, "Thank you all for coming, nontheless."
- Lady Alee Noreneno says, "Well if you want to give a sermon you ought to have
- people attend."
- Alee's mouth turns up as her face breaks into a smile.
- You say, "I will be noting all who attended for our Lord to know."
- Later on in the month...
- Lances of brilliant light pierce the heavens, signaling the return of Damariel
- mot Lanosaryon, the Unbound.
- (Order): You say, "Evening, Father."
- (Order): Damariel says, "Hail!"
- (Order): You say, "I had a question for You, actually."
- (Order): Damariel says, "Many do. Let's hear yours, child!"
- (Order): You say, "I performed a sermon earlier this month, and was curious if
- You would perhaps share a blessing with those that attended?"
- (Order): Damariel says, "I would!"
- (Order): You say, "Let me remember all the names here..."
- (Order): Damariel says, "Take your time. I'm not going to keel over dead anytime
- soon."
- (Order): You say, "Valingar, Edain, Lianca, Alee, Dwodin, and Melantha."
- (Order): You say, "I certainly hope not!"
- Damariel mot Lanosaryon, the Unbound has bestowed a divine blessing upon you. It
- will last for 2 days.
- (Order): You say, "Thank You!"
- (Order): Damariel says, "You will be one of My representatives, henceforth, for
- you have carried My message most capably to those outside of My following."
- You have been appointed as a representative of your Order.
- (Order): Damariel says, "I have made this choice because I have a mission for
- you, child. Carry My word. Make it simple, make it understood. Give it to the
- world. Bring Me followers. Good men and women and people of the world who can do
- the work that must be done in the coming decades."
- (Order): You say, "A mission, for me? Of course, I will do my best, Father."
- (Order): Damariel says, "Better than your best, child. This is for you as much
- as it is for the continent of Sapience."
- (Order): Damariel says, "I will not insist on specific results, but this much, I
- will command of you: place the Kuykibu in its entirety in every library that
- stands upon the face of My Brother's Earth."
- (Order): You say, "I will ensure it is done, Father. It will be my entire focus
- until it is."
- (Order): Damariel says, "You are not only carrying the Truth, child."
- (Order): Damariel says, "You ARE the Truth. My Truth."
- (Order): You say, "I understand...it is a burden. Will not be easy. I want to do
- this, for You, to be what's needed."
- (Order): You say, "May I make a request?"
- (Order): Damariel says, "You may."
- (Order): You say, "Would You consider a place, in a neutral location, and make
- it to where no harm can be done there? It would provide the Order a place to
- speak to all people in a safe fashion."
- (Order): Damariel says, "That is beyond My control. We do not live in a peaceful
- world, child, and I cannot create such a place without denying the people of
- Sapience the free will that I prize so highly. Would that I could, but that
- power lies only with My Father and those Others Who do not concern Themsleves
- with our affairs."
- (Order): You say, "Understood. It was merely a thought. I can simply bring one
- of those among us who are our warriors, when speaking outside the city, for
- protection."
