5. could lead to an unstable ship and/or a server crash.

  9.

  10.
Get out your part spawner tool. (It should be located at the bottom of your tools list under SBEP.)

  11.
Select a part of your choice. (I suggest spawning a bridge/cockpit first, so that you can build on from there.)

  12.
After you have spawned 2 parts, right click on one of the parts using the part assembler tool, and click
  13. on the connection node that will then show up, and do the same for the other part, and they should connect.

  14.
Continue this process until you have built a ship to your liking.

  15.
After you have your base ship, spawn a HL2 chair. (The SBEP chairs are broken and will crash the server.)

  16.
Place the chair inside your bridge/cockpit. Then, under the "wire" tab, spawn a pod controller and link it to your chair.

  17.
Then, spawn a gyropod under the SBEP tools, and link that to your seat. You will then want to wire the gyropod to your pod controller.
  18. (I can not teach you how to do this because every individual prefers a different keyboard layout for it.)

  19.
After you have done all of this, you will then want to place all of the CAF Life Support stuff you will need. (Refer to Life Support tutorial for more info.)

  20.
You will then want to core your ship. This is done to insure that no ship is too overpowered.
  21.

  22.
First, you want to select the "Ship Cores" tool.

  23.
You will then want to select a core. This choice shall be left up to you, considering we all have different tastes.

  24.
After you have selected your core, you will then want to spawn in a core prop. This prop will act as your core, so I would
suggest using a small enough prop that will fit inside your ship. (Under no circumstances should you try to make any prop that is already welded to your ship the core prop.)

  25.
Once you have spawned in your choice prop, you will then want to shoot it with the "Ship Cores" toolgun.

  26.
After you have your core, just weld it to your ship and you have a cored ship.

  27.

  28.

  29.
The final step will be to multi-parent your ship. The reason you do this is because it causes your ship to become a single entity, reducing lag and keeping it from colliding with the other parts.

  30.
You have now made yourself a ship!
  31.
