  3. Author's note: Hey! I expect this to become a hidden gem under all of the Pricefield and other pairing fan fictions here as the demographic are more interested in those kinds of stories. I was always impressed at the narrative and the depth of the story of Life is Strange. But, after becoming a writer, I realized that the story is just a well-crafted piece of mystery with bits of realistic fiction. A recent Reddit post caught my attention, from which I took some notes and incorporated what people liked about both Max and Chloe into my characters. I surveyed what people liked about Max on Reddit, and most people stated that they liked how she judges people by their actions and knows when to “step up”, which falls into the Hispanic belief of marianismo. That is how I created the character traits of Gael DeCastro: the male equivalent is machismo. Rather than using hackneyed stereotypes and archetypes like the shy, introvert girl and the confident and outgoing criminal teenage archetypes, I used the outgoing athlete and the troubled foreign exchange student instead. The one downside I see is that most females tend to be more affectionate than most males, on a biological and neurological level, therefore emotional scenes with males that are believable are lots harder than with females. I’ve made an honest attempt, or so I think.
  4. Furthermore, I really disliked how Chloe and Max played detective without a proper and good motive. They should've went to the police after finding evidence. The only refute to that would be that they didn't have enough "time," as investigations take a while depending on the workload. The tornado was Friday and it would take a portion of that Friday just to plan a raid in the Dark Room. However, I tried to increase the stakes and make it more believable this time around. I even tried to interview several "advisors" before writing my story to ensure my story is "realistic." In my experience on the Deep Web, the character archetype of "Mr. Jefferson" is pretty common in society. Believe it or not, I once knew a "Mr. Jefferson" archetype back in my old high school. No one expected that he would be capable of such acts. I have attempted to convey this as a theme in my work: a discussion of awareness.
  5. Hector (INFJ) and Gael (ESTP) contrast Chloe (ESFP) and Max (INFP) in many ways. If they ever came into contact, and they might, hint-hint, I can see Hector and Gael having multiple disagreements with Chloe and Max. Hector is a traditionalist who would chastise Max for the recklessness of her decisions, such as busting in Blackwell and not appreciating how hard David Madsen works to keep the school in order, and Chloe would think Gael is a poser for his tough guy antics. I would totally shove them all together in an alternate universe and write about them. At the end of the day, they could, and likely would, learn a lot from each other.
