- Hello its Kinoshita Yuka
- today we will.... tadaa, do you guys know what this is?
- its.... the skin..... from.... a pig's..... face.... they call it chiraga apparently and this is another thing I bought when I was in Okinawa
- its got a picture of a rappin' pig. hey pig you've got real heart having your face ripped off and still lookin thug. I can't believe it.
- I bought this at a gift store
- its sealed in shrink wrap
- ahhhh pigs faces are so scary. its SUGOI! and scary isn't it? its, its a pig.
- what's going on here, where were the eyes located on this?
- *sniff sniff* it smells smokey
- well today I want to use this to make some food
- for vegetables I will use this long green onion and other left over veggies
- I will use these veggies
- and now I will cut up this skin
- `aaaahhhhh` I'm sorry piggie... gahhh its so scary
- I'm only going to eat you it was someone else who killed you <I think its how she kinda stated it>
- when it comes to doing this pigs face it really makes you think hard about things huh.
- I will cut it into thin slices
- I feel like I will try to cut it all into this size
- it turned out to be quite a large amount
- its about 1.3Kg
- in a large frypan I will put the skin in
- <hard to hear with the sizzling> I think I will open a window? <or it is probably> I'll split it into 2 or 3
- once it starts to take on color we will add the vegetables
- once the vegetables wilt a bit we will add the sauces
- I'll add some chili oil
- and add salt and pepper to taste
- mirin (sweet sake) worcestershire sauce Chinese Dashi stock sugar soy sauce.
- the pork rind and vegetable stir fry will be paired with 3 cups of rice ITADAKIMASUUU
- it looks like it is packed full of collagen
- mmm OISHII
- its got a nice mouthfeel and well its jammed full of collagen and I feel like I flavored it nicely
- to be paired with rice I made it a bit stronger
- the outside edge of the skin has a bit of a bite to it and the meat around the face is nice and soft
- fatty foods go well with vegetables < I think it was a bit tough to hear>
- with this having all this flavor and having all that sauce poured on it I feel like I want to mix the rice into it
- I put it in
- voila. its pork rind rice bowl
- mmm OISHI the sauce really matches well with the rice
- the mix of the pork fat and the sauce blending together really tastes great.
- the last bite ITADAKIMASUUU
- GOCHISOAMADESUU
- the chiraga was packed full of collagen and very yummy and since the sauce was on the strong side it really went well with the rice
- everyone if you find yourself in Okinawa please try this out and buy some
