configure crash on trunk 2 aug 2014

I have just done a fresh checkout of the master branch from github and a pseudoinstall. I have no LSC.
configure dies with this error, every time:
Use of uninitialized value $id in hash element at /home/mtempest/development/_allFoswiki/core/lib/Foswiki/Configure/TypeUI.pm line 46.

The $stub does not have typename or keys, which are expected by Foswiki::Configure::UI::loadChecker()
