Thorad Maulred - hardheaded ginger

Thorad Maulred, a young hard-headed nord who's dream is to rise in the ranks of the Companions and join the Circle.

Thorad Maulred was born in the small town of Blackmoor, north of Whiterun. He was born to two farmers who would often travel to Whiterun to trade produce and other goods at the market.

In his youth Thorad was always in trouble, causing fights with other kids in the small town, or found trying to tip cows at other farms. He sought to prove his strength, and had no fear when it came to HOW he should prove it.

As he grew, Thorad found more ways to prove to the other youth of Blackmoor, that he was the strongest. He would fight the wildlife that stalked the fields of Whiterun that surrounded Blackmoor. He was brazen enough once, as a dare, to tackle a local peaceful elderly giant down. Thorad, with little thought or care, rushed the giant from behind and tackled its right leg. Causing the giant to stumble and fall off the small overhanging it was on.

This crazy act only filled his ego of being the strongest person in Blackmoor. It lead to many fights between him and his parents. They were scared he was would get himself killed. Trying to convince him to calm down and become a guard for the town. Use his love of fighting for good.

At the age of 20 Thorad joined the Blackmoor guards. All was fine for a few weeks. Thorad thought it would be endless action of fighting bandits off, but it was peaceful. He didn't mind that, for awhile anyway. People looked to him with admiration for protecting the town. Sadly, it was dull, and by his second week, he had quit.

He saw no action, and that's what he wanted. His parents feared he'd run off and join a bandit gang. But Thorad had set his sights on becoming a Companion all his life, and he was hellbent on becoming one.

He traveled to Whiterun and headed straight to Jorrvaskr. After a years worth of proving himself, he became a member of the Companions.


Misc Facts:

-While he loves to fight with his fists, he enjoys using his mace. Nothing like the sound of skulls cracking under a blunt object.

-He has abit of an ego and outward smug attitude, but he does care for people he likes and can be friendly if someone can look past the ego.

-Has a great respect for guards for being able to hold up such a boring job.

-Still tips cows for fun.

-At the age of 14, during a trip to Whiterun markets, Thorad was hit in the head with a hammer by a vampires thrall during an attack on the city. Thorad survived with little damage to his head, earning him the nickname "Hammerhead".
