Heisei Writing Part 2 (Kabuto)

Using the Pixelator to create enough Great Equalizers to supply my massive turned out to be an effort of futility. I still managed to make a few hundred of them before I had to stop, Pixel stores low even though I pour mats into the thing constantly when it’s not making something for me, which is quite frankly a ridiculous thing to do but hey I’ve got endless amounts of quite a few things so I just pour it into the thing so that I have more Pixels to do stuff with.
My ZO Riders are a part of me, in actuality they are Evolved that I’ve taken into my Hive, and thus when I hit this place it’s by storm. Hundreds of targets across the world who have the ability to automatically Equalize speed and draw the Worm out in droves. Some smug son-of-a-bitch keeps interrupting my fights with cheeky lines like “Too slow!” and various other things, with me kinda reveling in having achieved a lifelong goal of hitting MAXIMUM FAST this gets under my skin a hell of a lot faster than I thought it would. This guy is basically so smug I think I’ve read Perfect Lionheart fanfiction self-inserts with less smug, and that makes me wanna punch him in the face so hard.
For the most part, I keep myself busy fighting off the Worm with my Hive and trying to keep up with all the crazy bullshit that comes from being one of the Riders of this crazy world, which if you haven’t notice has more fucking things to fight than you can shake a stick at. Grogni still are out there, Fangires keep popping up from the broken timeline, Time Traveling Riders 3 & 4 are still a thing that pops up every now and again, remains of three alien invasions, that white Rider is still a motherfucking thorn in my side even after all this time, the Great Leader is STILL at large, and I have yet to get to the hundreds of problems that staying on the cutting edge of tech makes for a company In Jumper Enterprises position. It’s often a madhouse around here.
Started this ‘Jump’ in ‘71 at an apparent age of twenty-three and now it’s 2006 making ‘me’ a wizened old man at fifty-eight years old. In that time I’ve become a leader in Eco Tech, Artificial Rider Production, and dozens of other fields. I’ve had a ‘child’ (In reality it’s just a bud of my hive that I’ll be moving into so my current body can ‘die’ convincingly) with a mistress, and don’t the tabloids love to bring that up when we have calm moment, and have lived a long and fulfilling life, but I have to wonder how much longer in this world will I be. I’ve built a United Nations that actually does it’s job and were it not for the rampant threats from external forces humanity would be entering a Golden Era like none other.
Not for the first time, I find myself wondering why I keep moving forward. What keeps me from just stopping, settling down. My eyes find the sky more often and I find myself alone sitting before the rushes. I’ve carried this chain for so long, just over a eight hundred years now. I have a name that fits, a family that cares, and an adventure older than some immortals.
The final thing I need now is rest I think.
