- - Style Climax is the blue bar on the lower left, triggered by pressing L1 + R1.
- - Giga BASARA Art is the BASARA attack you can do with a partner when your gauges are red.
- - Inrou of Enhancement is your banked experience points that you can use to level up characters during battle preparation.
- - Shadow Dodge is 見切り, AKA the new dodge technique introducted in this game. You activate it by dodging right before an attack hits. You'll know it by the look, hence the name I made up for it.
- - Any inscription beginning with *** has a shaky translation.

- 5 (六道) - Both elemental chance and damage increase
- 6 (粋華) - Stylish Climax lasts longer and has an added attack +250
- 7 (妖刃) - Every kill adds +1 to attack power and recovers HP
- 8 (必殺) - BASARA and Giga BASARA Arts have increased attack power and hit count +1
- 9 (剣劇) - Duels occur more often, are easier to button mash, and damage dealt after winning increases

- 1 (特訓) - EXP +20% from enemies, and 10% of that experience goes to your Inrou of Enhancement
- 2 (怪盗) - After 100 kills, you gain a treasure box or Ebisu Cask (large health/BASARA recovery item)
- 3 (食歴) - Small health/BASARA recovery items give 250 whetstones, Ebisu Cask gives 500 stones and EXP
- 4 (天恵) - When you enter Fever mode, either whetstones or dangerous objects can appear
- ***5 (無頼) - Enemy attacks falter after a taunt, and BASARA/Stylish Gauges both increase
- 6 (生命) - HP gradually recovers over time
- 7 (奇跡) - Chance to nullify enemy damage and revive after dying
- 8 (逆上) - While near-death, attack power +250 and Stylish Gauge increases slightly

- ***7 (重々) - Hit +1, and the combo timing lasts longer
- 8 (空舞) - Hit +1 when attacking in the air
- 9 (陣取) - Against enemy camps, damage is multipled by 1.5 and hit number increases

- 1 (俊速) - Player move speed increases
- ***2 (軽技) - Damage received is reduced, and you automatically defend after blowing off an attack
- 3 (宝刀) - Receive an extra 10000 ryou for disassembling a weapon with this inscription
- 4 (忍耐) - You gain EXP proportional to the amount of damage taken
- 5 (必死) - BASARA Gauge increases more than normal when attacking enemies
- 6 (同体) - When you pick up a recovery item, your partner also recovers by a fixed amount
- 7 (打札) - Damage to an enemy is multiplied by 1.5
- 8 (さび) - Damage to an enemy is reduced
