FoE PNP Destiny Group Session 8

[17:24] <GM||WavemasterRyx> When we last left our heroes, they had a pretty rough encounter with some bugs, both tiny and much larger. With Command being complete jerks, they're sent to recover a specimen and bring it back with them to the ship. We rejoin as they assault the hive.
[17:26] * Snow_Cone is grinning wide, just looking for some skulls to cave. "Come and get some!" She says, leaping to her hind hooves.
[17:28] * Snow_Cone throws a whirlwind of blows at the bugs.
[17:30] * Astera is making her way after Clara aand Swoop, where they are going, nopony knows!
[17:31] * Swoop is still heading towards Swept's Pipbuck marker.
[17:31] * Swept_Wing is still in that tree.
[17:32] * Clara is following Swoop!
[17:32] <GM||WavemasterRyx> With her wild swings, Snow Cone nearly runs herself straight into the bobbing insect's needle-like beak. Her first hit against that bug is solid though, making it let out a shrill cry, while her last two blows obliterate the other bug currently attacking her.
[17:33] * Snow_Cone grins and yells to Slick. "That's one! Try to keep up!" With a snarl, she turns her attention to the one she just clobbered.
[17:34] * Astera looks back at her own flank for a second, damn bugs making her itch like that. She hadnt even seen the little bugger.
[17:38] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Spades Slick looks like he's about to say some whitty retort back when the bug on him stabs him deep with its needle. The zony's body goes limp, sliding off the needle.
[17:42] * Wraith ([email protected]) has joined #FruityRumpusAssholeFactory
[17:43] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The injured bug floats back and jabs forward suddenly, driving its needle into Snow Cone's shoulder. You can feel it injects something, and your whole leg begins to itch like crazy, but as the bug pulls out and floats backwards, the sensation fades to just a mild irritation.
[17:43] * Snow_Cone blinks. Oh... Oh hell no. This bug just made a huge mistake, because now it's personal. "You piece of shit! I'll fucking-" Before she can finish, she gets stabbed too. Now it's /doubly/ personal.
[17:46] <GM||WavemasterRyx> More insect sounds can be heard approaching from through the bushes, another slides out through an opening in the hive.
[17:51] * Swept_Wing groans. "Those idiots." He targets the three closest insects, firing a shot at each of them.
[17:52] * Wraith is now known as Spades_Slick
[17:54] * Swoop hears the shots. "What the hell?"
[17:57] * Snow_Cone turns her head to the source of the shots and groans. "It's not like we needed your help!"
[18:05] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Swept's shots go wide, except for one that clips the bug Snow Cone is focusing on, which remains aloft.
[18:06] * Swoop speeds up. "I know that gunshot."
[18:07] * Snow_Cone snorts as Swept fails to kill the bug. She'd show him how it was done. After swinging a pair of blows at the wounded one, she closes in on the one that stabbed Slick.
[18:08] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Beyond Slick, Snow can see two more of the bugs flitting their way through the undergrowth.
[18:08] * Astera blinks as she hears the gunshot. "Well, shit."  She speeds up still following Swoop.
[18:09] * Clara is still following. She's not sure what she can really do to help... she really needs more practice with that laser.
[18:10] * Swoop grumbles and draws her pistol. "'nother day at the office."
[18:11] <GM||WavemasterRyx> With a hefty hoof, Snow manages to knock the bug out of the air, sending it crumpling to the ground a short distance away.
[18:11] * Snow_Cone gallops over to Slicks side, skids to a halt, and moves to buck the buzzing sack of shit in the face.
[18:14] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Snow Cone's buck proves instantly fatal to the bug, sending great chunks of it flying.
[18:16] * Swept_Wing grunts. "Showoff."
[18:16] * Snow_Cone snorts and lets out a short "Oorah" before quickly looking for more bugs.
[18:22] * Spades_Slick struggles back to his hooves and silently stumbles towards the incoming insects with a single-minded determination
[18:24] * Spades_Slick clutches the machete hilt with his mouth, making two swipes at one and a third at the other
[18:28] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Spades lands a solid hit on both of the bugs, but neither goes down.
[18:31] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Both of the bugs rear back, jabbing their needles at Spades twice.
[18:39] <GM||WavemasterRyx> When each of the first jabs from the bugs lands solidly, they don't immediately pull out and instead both begin to pump something into Spades. When they do tear their needles away, Spades feels his entire body break out in itching.
[18:40] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The one bug that had exited the hive flies closer cautiously, while two more slide out after it.
[18:41] * Swoop hovers next to Swept's tree. "So what you shooting?"
[18:43] * Swept_Wing nods towards the ground, the hive, and the bugs swarming around it. "That."
[18:43] * Swoop looks. "Well damn. Someone stirred them up?"
[18:43] * Spades_Slick grimaces but other than that shows no reaction
[18:45] <Swept_Wing> "Yep, those two idiots."
[18:45] * Swept_Wing indicates Snow and Spades.
[18:45] * Swoop sighs. "So should we help them?"
[18:48] * Swept_Wing shrugs. "Your choice, but they got themselves into this themselves. I still need to try and catch a sample for Command though."
[18:48] * Swoop takes aim at what she designates as target number one. "Rookies. No promises, you know that." Pulls the trigger five times.
[18:55] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Swoop lets lose with her laser pistol, but something inside the gun jams at the third shot, a slight cracking noise comes from the ammo container
[18:55] <Swoop> "Gah! Stupid piece of shit!"
[18:56] * Swept_Wing chuckles.
[18:57] <Swept_Wing> "Energy weapons are unreliable, I keep telling you that."
[18:57] * Swoop unjams the POS. "Remind me to get a new gun when we get back to the ship..."
[18:57] <Swoop> "A new ENERGY gun."
[18:57] * Swept_Wing shakes his head and reloads. "Yeah yeah, call me when that one breaks too."
[18:59] * Swept_Wing twirls his revolver up and fires off two shots at the first bug coming out of the hive.
[19:01] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The first of the two shots is a solid hit, the bug turns towards Swept up in the tree.
[19:02] <Swept_Wing> "Here comes our sample fer Command."
[19:02] * Swept_Wing pulls the jar out.
[19:03] <Swoop> "Yes, lets get out of here quickly."
[19:05] * Astera ([email protected]) Quit ( Ping timeout: 121 seconds )
[19:05] * Spades_Slick ([email protected]) Quit ( Quit: ASCII a stupid question, get a stupid ANSI! )
[19:06] * Clara enters the fray behind Swoop, eyes wide as she sees the bugs. They're so... big! After a moment's hesitation, she takes out her laser pistol, aiming carefully at the biggest bug before firing!
[19:08] * Clara adds another, less precise shot
[19:09] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Clara's shots go wide of her target, but as she's looking it over, watching parts of it fade in and out, she gets a very odd feeling of familiarity.
[19:12] * Astera ([email protected]) has joined #FruityRumpusAssholeFactory
[19:13] * Clara blinks. She has this feeling... There was something familiar about these bugs. Maybe... She tries to speak to the bugs, in her native changeling language! ["Please! Stop! Listen!"]
[19:17] <GM||WavemasterRyx> One of the bugs turns. It seems to recognize something in your words back, but if it makes a reply, it's completely unintelligible, and it definitely doesn't look ready to stop.
[19:20] * Clara gives a pleading look toward the bug that turned to her, though it probably won't make a difference.
[19:22] * Snow_Cone charges at the bug that is temporarily distracted by Clara's weird chattering. "Suck on this!" she says, spinning around to buck this one too.
[19:25] <GM||WavemasterRyx> With another devastating buck, Snow Cone explodes the bug into a shower of chunks that fly through the clearing around the hive.
[19:26] * Clara looks a little sad at that.
[19:26] * Swept_Wing groans, "Oooor not."
[19:27] * Swoop winces. "Overkill, for sure."
[19:27] <Swept_Wing> "HEY IDIOT! THAT ONE WAS SUPPOSED T' BE TH' SAMPLE, YAH DUMB-FUCK!"
[19:28] * Snow_Cone moves in onto another one nearby. "Sorry, maggot! Can't hear you over the sound of all the alien ass I'm kicking?" She says, lashing out with a single punch.
[19:28] <Swoop> "Is he for real?"
[19:28] <~Snow_Cone> !*
[19:29] <Swept_Wing> "Apparently so."
[19:31] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Snow Cone's swing is very wide, leaving the bug the perfect opening to stab in with its needle, fortunately it just glances off Snow Cone's coat.
[19:35] * Swoop ([email protected]) Quit ( Quit: Relax, its only ONES and ZEROS! )
[19:36] * Astera finaly! arives at the scene whatsup with these slow alicorns. Seeing the melee combatant in full action she desides to help out a little. Her horn glowing for a few seconds before her spell lands on Snow_Cone's hooves, making her attacks even faster! "Give 'em hell!" She pulls her Magic Pistol and fires two potshots at the closest bugcreature.
[19:37] * Snow_Cone smirks as her hooves (presumably) glow with magic. "Absolutely." is all she says.
[19:38] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The magic gives Snow's hooves a warm tingly feeling as they do indeed glow gently from the magic. Astera's two shots unfortunately go wide of the bug she had aimed at.
[19:39] * Astera grits her teeth and considers just throwing the weapon at them instead.
[19:42] <GM||WavemasterRyx> There is a muffled cry and the sound of a soft impact off in the foliage, one bug come floating lazily out of it, its hum quite loud. Another bug can be seen starting to push its way out of the hive. Of the two already out, one takes two stabs at Snow Cone, while the other flits its way up towards the ponies in the tree.
[19:43] * Swept_Wing grins. "New sample."
[19:45] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Both of the stabs go wide of Snow Cone. Up in the tree, Swept Wing can feel a spot of itching flare to life on his right flank.
[19:46] * Swept_Wing frowns. "Fuck."
[19:49] * Swept_Wing brings his Magnum to bear on the approaching bug, and fires off three rounds
[19:52] <GM||WavemasterRyx> All of Swept's shots go wide, though one knicks Snow Cone's leg below.
[19:53] * Swept_Wing groans. "Fucking sights need readjusted again."
[19:53] * Snow_Cone blanches. "Gah! You fucker! Who's the dumb-fuck now? Your flank is glue when this bullshit is over! Gah!" She says, gritting her teeth.
[19:54] * Swept_Wing raises an eyebrow. "Glue? I don't get it."
[19:55] * Snow_Cone pants heavily. "It's... a... fucking... expression... gonna kick... your ass..." She says, shakign herself off a little.
[19:55] <Swept_Wing> "Yeah, get back to me on that."
[19:59] * Clara is still disappointed that her attempts to communicate failed. Then she'll need to keep fighting... ["I'm sorry!"] she calls out, before aiming two shots at the biggest bugs left that she can see, following up with two more less precise shots.
[19:59] * Swoop ([email protected]) has joined #FruityRumpusAssholeFactory
[20:04] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The bug that had been in the swamp is pretty big and menacing looking, Clara's first two shots hit it dead on, leaving small singed marks. It turns its attention to her.
[20:08] * Snow_Cone cocks an eyebrow, still trying to shrug off the pain of being shot. She frowns and lashes out, throwing three punches at the one in front of her.
[20:11] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Snow Cone's first hit staggers the bug, while the second sends it spattering against the ground.
[20:12] * Snow_Cone grins, wiping her hoof off on the ground. "Gross..." She says before moving in to punch the other bastard who came out of the swamp.
[20:14] <GM||WavemasterRyx> This second bug too explodes under the fury of Snow Cone's hooves.
[20:15] <Swoop> "HEY! WHAT PART OF WE NEED ONE INTACT DID YOU NOT GET???"
[20:16] * Snow_Cone smiles, standing triumphantly over the corpse. "See this? This is my 'not giving a shit what the rookie thinks' face."
[20:16] <Swept_Wing> "Yah know what, fuck it! Ah'll just Blaze the hive and set th' whole damn place on fire."
[20:16] <Swoop> "Rookie???"
[20:16] * Wraith ([email protected]) has joined #FruityRumpusAssholeFactory
[20:17] * Astera looks between the three  of you and mutters. Frowning. "How about everypony just do what the fuck they are suposed to so we can get this done with?"

[20:17] <Swoop> "Tell that to Smashy McStompypants down there!"
[20:20] * Astera just groans and fires off a burst of magical death from  her pistol at the closest target.
[20:24] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Astera is able to pick out another bug moving out of the swamp just after the other and sprinkles it with magical death. The bug manages to stay in the air though.
[20:56] * Spades_Slick returns to the clearing covered in more bite wounds...stab wounds...bitey-stab wounds and his machete covered in bug goop
[20:59] * Swoop spots the bit/stabbed pony. "Can we PLEASE get one intact?"
[21:01] * Snow_Cone nods.
[21:01] * Spades_Slick doesn't acknowledge Swoop as he continues from the edge of the clearing, bearing down on one of the giant mosquitos and slashing at it three times with his machete
[21:01] * Clara wouldn't mind keeping one alive AND intact. She'd like to make a /real/ attempt at communicating.
[21:02] * Swoop facehoofs. "These are the ponies Command saddles us with, bro."
[21:03] * Swept_Wing nods, scratching his flank. "Eeyup."
[21:04] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Two of Spades' slashes cut straight across the bug's legs, severing them all, and dropping it to the ground.
[21:05] <Swept_Wing> "Alright, now that one we c'n take back!"
[21:05] <Swoop> "Assuming he doesn't finish it off..."
[21:05] * Spades_Slick flicks some mosquito blood and guts off of his machete in Swept_Wing and Swoop's general direction
[21:10] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Swept feels another spot of itching flare to life just above his tail, Swoop on her belly, underneath her skirt.
[21:11] * Swept_Wing groans. "Right in th' ass, nice."
[21:11] <GM||WavemasterRyx> *just below the line of her sweater.
[21:11] <Swoop> "Aww sonova!" Tries to scratch at it with a hind foot.
[21:13] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The one remaining bug coming out of the hive moves in on Snow Cone and attempts to stab her, while the other flits through the air, needling at Swept.
[21:19] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The bug aiming at Snow Cone lands a solid hit, but the earth pony manages to shrug off the effects of whatever it injected her with, and actually comes out of it itching a little less than she had been. The other bug sinks its needle deep into Swept's chest, and though the pegasi nearly passes out, he managed to stay in the game.
[21:20] <Swoop> "Swept! Hold EXTRA STILL!"
[21:20] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Mere seconds after the bug pulls its needle out though, Swept's entire body starts to itch and burn, magnitudes worse than the bites he'd recieved before.
[21:21] * Swept_Wing is holding onto the branch for dear life, his vision blurred.
[21:21] * Snow_Cone winces and wants to snap that damn thing off, then promptly stab the fucker to death with it. "Gahhhhhhhhh!"
[21:22] * Swoop takes extra careful aim... and pulls the trigger twice.
[21:26] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Swoop's magic energy pistol lashes out, searing the bug badly, but not dropping it. It weaves back and forth in the air, turning to face its attacker.
[21:27] <Swoop> "Come at me Bug!"
[21:29] * Swept_Wing grunts, lining up the bug in his sights before firing off the last shot in his gun.
[21:31] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Swept's shot punches straight into the bug, dropping it in pieces to the ground below.
[21:32] * Swept_Wing grins. "Hah, how'd yah like that?" He mutters, reloading.
[21:37] * Clara would still kinda like to leave one alive. She puts away her weapon and calls out to the last bug. ["Please! Submit so we do not have to harm you!"] She hopes that the bug will understand, or that her companions manage to leave it alive.
[21:46] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Clara still isn't sure if she got the message across, or if the bug simply won't listen. She can however, pick up something that sounds like a tonal vocabulary in the hum that fills the air, and the bug seems to be bobbing along to it. It takes a few seconds but she thinks she picks up something similar to 'Spread'.
[21:50] * Clara frowns. That's... strange. She can hear... something, that she can somewhat understand. She won't harm the bug, though hopefully her crew will manage to subdue it peacefully! Instead, she tries to see if she can pinpoint the source of the hum.
[21:51] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The hum definitely is coming from within the hive.
[21:54] * Clara heads toward the hive then, cautiously.
[21:55] * Spades_Slick totally takes a free action to hold his machete with a hoof and take another swig of wild pegasus before replacing the hilt of the machete in his mouth
[21:56] * Snow_Cone snorts. "That's it. Nothing stabs Snow Cone and gets away with it (except Slick)! You die now!" She says, launching herself at the bug and pummelling it to it's almost certain death.
[21:58] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Under Snow Cone's fierce pummelling, the remaining bug explodes in a spray of good.
[21:59] <Swoop> "Well... that was gory."
[21:59] * Spades_Slick is covered in goo. except he was already covered in goo so absolutely nothing changed
[22:01] * Snow_Cone breaths heavily through her nostrils. She looks down at her hooves and sighs. "Stupid... bugs... stupid... pegasi..." She trots groggily after Clara.
[22:02] * Swoop hovers next to her brother. "I'm not sure wether to classify this as the worst planet we've been to so far or not."
[22:03] * Spades_Slick pour his flask of Foreverpure onto the hive and looks around, spitting his machet-no it's a playing card again- out into his hoof and tucking it away in a pocket "Anyone got a match?"
[22:03] * Swept_Wing grunts. "Fuckin, bugs." He hoofs Swoop the jar. "Go get the sample."
[22:04] * Clara is still heading toward the hive. When she gets there, she inspects it for an entrance, or something.
[22:04] * Swoop looks at the jar... looks at the bug... "I really don't think it's gonna fit." Goes to try.
[22:04] * Swept_Wing looks down at the hive. "Hm, looks flammable enough to me."
[22:04] * Spades_Slick shrugs and trots over to Snow_Cone "How many did you get?"
[22:05] <Swept_Wing> "OI! IDIOTS! Ah'd suggest movin'. It might get kinda firey here in a minute."
[22:06] <GM||WavemasterRyx> It's not hard to find, the entrance the bugs were using is a fairly open hole, big enough a pony could fit through.
[22:06] * Snow_Cone stops next Clara and takes a long drag from her whiskey flask. She turns to Spades only slightly. "Six... or seven... Don't remember..."
[22:06] * Clara isn't moving away. She whispers, "Something's inside..." before heading in.
[22:07] * Swept_Wing facehoofs.
[22:07] <Spades_Slick> "Wanna call it even then?"
[22:07] <Swept_Wing> "Ah'm gonna light th' place on FIRE! Don't go inside!"
[22:07] * Snow_Cone nods. "Next time, we have somepony else count. And, doc... You may want to rethink going in there."
[22:09] * Spades_Slick pulls the tiny bottle of ointment out and waggles it "I guess we could share it, use it on the worst bites. or just slather it over ourselves and writhe together until it's all gone." He snorts, a wry smirk tugging at the edge of his mouth
[22:09] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The hive is fairly dim on the inside, only lit by the light coming in through the entrance, which Clara's body momentarily blocks. There appear to be hexagonal shaped structures stacked about lining the walls and at a gentle but uneven incline that leads to what appears to be a second floor.
[22:10] * Snow_Cone snickers too, still keeping her eyes on Clara. "You take it... sort of stopped feeling it..." She says, slowly and carefully trotting in behind the crazy bug-pony.
[22:10] <Swept_Wing> "...I'm tempted to light th' place on fire anyway now."
[22:10] * Clara ignores Swept. She's looking for the source of the humming... She heads toward the second floor.
[22:10] * Swoop shoves the specimin into the jar, not carring how it's spelled in her head.
[22:11] * Spades_Slick shrugs and puts the bottle away. unless he can figure out how to put it inside of him it's useless to him anyways.
[22:11] <Spades_Slick> (How to put it on his insides*)
[22:12] * Snow_Cone takes a good look around the inside of the hive. "Hey, Clara... I'm starting to think this is a bad idea."
[22:13] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The bug specimen fits in the jar with a little gentle coercion. The second floor is almost completely dark, but the hum is definitely coming from here, and has changed tone several times now.
[22:17] <Swoop> "Shut up and get in the jar!"
[22:18] * Spades_Slick sits there waiting
[22:19] <GM||WavemasterRyx> While climbing up to the second floor, Clara can feel movement in the structures beneath her hooves.
[22:20] * Snow_Cone keeps following the crazy pony. "Seriously. Bad idea."
[22:21] * Clara blinks, and stops. She leans down to inspect the ground, and see what that was.
[22:22] <GM||WavemasterRyx> It feels quite possibly like larvae.
[22:24] * Swoop seals the jar, then looks at Swept. "Hey! Make with the burning already!"
[22:24] <Swept_Wing> "Two of 'em went inside!"
[22:24] * Snow_Cone ([email protected]) Quit ( Ping timeout: 121 seconds )
[22:24] <Spades_Slick> "Two ponies are inside the hive, rookie."
[22:25] <Swoop> "What?? Of all the.."
[22:25] * Clara 's eyes widen. "We could take back a live one!" She turns around and looks to see if anypony had followed her, since she wasn't paying attention to them.
[22:26] * Spades_Slick snorts and goes back to ignoring everything, keeping his eyes on the mouth of the hive
[22:26] * Swoop trots to the hive. "Clara! Other pony! Time to go already!"
[22:26] <Swept_Wing> "They've got 5 minutes t' get out b'fore th' place goes up in flames."
[22:27] <Spades_Slick> "If you set it on fire while Snow is inside of it I will cut your wings off."
[22:27] <Swoop> "Swept says five minutes! Then this is a toaster oven!"
[22:27] * Clara calls back, "There is something in here! Come! Bring another jar!" She takes the opportunity to see if she can fund the source of the humming!
[22:28] * Swoop blinks. She knows she didn't hear that right.
[22:28] * Swept_Wing begins plotting out a flight trajectory in his head that would take him right over the top of the hive. "She's got 5 mins."
[22:29] <Swoop> "Come in there? Are you kidding? I'm not going in there!"
[22:29] * Spades_Slick grumbles "Do you have another jar?"
[22:30] * Swoop checks... finds one. "Here."
[22:30] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Snow Cone was following and merely tears one of the hexagonal structures from the wall, "Got it covered."
[22:31] * Clara blinks. She's not sure if that's safe...
[22:31] * Spades_Slick takes the jar and heads inside
[22:32] * Clara mutters, "Oh... thank you." to Snow Cone, taking the thing from her.
[22:33] * Swept_Wing stretches his wings. "4 minutes!"
[22:33] * Swoop calls inside. "Four minutes!"
[22:35] <GM||WavemasterRyx> While Clara is examining the larva container, she feels a needle jam into her back. Like the others, it burns at first, but that slowly fades away as the hum almost becomes visible in the darkness, leaving her head spinning.
[22:37] * Clara eeps in surprise. She blinks, feeling /very/ strange. "What was... that?" she whispers, looking around for what did that!
[22:38] * Swept_Wing lifts into the air. "Three minutes!"
[22:38] * Swoop repeats for those inside.
[22:38] * Spades_Slick doesn't care and finds Clara and Snow "time to go. Hurry the fuck up."
[22:41] * Clara is too distracted. She wants to know... has to know! What's going on? The humming is so clear right now. "Can't you hear it...?" she mutters.
[22:42] <Spades_Slick> "I. Don't. Care. You can come peacefully or I can drag you out."
[22:42] * Swept_Wing makes a test pass over the hive. "Two minutes! Hurry up in there!"
[22:43] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Clara can just see the traces of a needle as it draws back upstairs. The hum is beginning to become much clearer, telling you to go and spread.
[22:43] * Swoop yells into the hive. "Two minutes! Clara get your sexy flank out here!"
[22:45] * Clara sees the needle, and is torn between going forward and retreating. She calls out, ["Hello? What is there?"]
[22:48] * Swept_Wing moves back up into position. "One minute! Get out or get cooked!"
[22:49] * Swoop looks up at her brother, sighs, and trots inside. "Clara, seriously, we got what we came for."
[22:49] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The hum changes again, flooded with feelings of calm, ["Another."]

[22:52] * Clara isn't listening, obviously. She's only paying attention to the loud humming she can hear.
[22:54] * Swoop searches around. "Snow? Spades? Where you at?"
[22:57] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The hum changes back, intensifying, ["Spread!"]. Outside, any pony looking can see the top of the hive start to crack.
[22:57] <Swept_Wing> "Oh...shit."
[22:58] <Swept_Wing> "GUYS! GET OUTTA THERE! NOW!"
[22:58] * Spades_Slick pushes snow towards the entrance and grabs Clara's tail with his mouth, dragging her behind him "Time to go!"
[22:59] <Swoop> "Lets go!!"
[22:59] * Swoop hears the cracking and feels the shudder. "Haul flank ponies!"
[23:00] * Clara struggles slightly, though it's not all that strong, since she's very distracted by the humming. She's probably easily dragged (and will probably need to be dragged or carried back to the ship, or she'll just head back)
[23:01] * Spades_Slick doesn't care, he's already intended on dragging her the entire way.
[23:03] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The hum fills with joy as the top of the hive explodes upward, a dark form stretcing out wispy wings as it swirls upward and snaps in a jagged course across the sky.
[23:03] <Swept_Wing> "FUCKITY FUCK FUCK FUCK!"
[23:03] <Swept_Wing> "RUUUUUN!"
[23:04] * Swoop has no idea what's going on, hauls ass out and toward the gate.
[23:06] * Clara looks up at the sky in wonder as the hive shatters.
[23:07] <Swoop> "ohcrapohcrapohcrapohcraprunningrunningrunning!"
[23:07] * Swept_Wing shoots away from the hive as fast as he can, a red streak trailing behind him as he headed for the gate.
[23:11] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The hum that had pervaded the air since your arrival dies quickly as the bug fades into the distance. Snow and Astera are running along with you, the alicorn floating the dialing remote ready to dial as soon as you're within range of the gate.
[23:11] <Swoop> "Astera, dial that bitch!"
[23:13] * Clara blinks slightly as the hum fades. She's kinda confused.
[23:13] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Astera hastily calls up the dialing program, setting the gate spinning. The gate dials just at the same speed it always does, only finally filling with blue light as the connection is made to Destiny.
[23:13] <Swoop> "Everypony thru, move it!"
[23:13] <Swept_Wing> "Go go go!"
[23:14] * Spades_Slick trots through, likely still dragging Clara
[23:16] * Swept_Wing shoves Astera and Snow though.
[23:17] * Swoop gallops thru last just before it closes.
[23:17] * Clara is definitely still being dragged. She's still disoriented, though not quite as single-minded as before.
[23:17] * Swept_Wing goes through with Swoop.
[23:19] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Back on Destiny, the Medical team is waiting to escourt all of you for a thorough checkup.
[23:20] * Swept_Wing exits the gate, landing on the floor of the Destiny with an "Oof!" He spits his revolver out.
[23:20] <Swept_Wing> "Fucking bugs."
[23:20] * Swoop flops to the deck, itchy and tired. "Luna fucking bugs..."
[23:20] * Spades_Slick doesn't let go of Clara's tail until the portal closes
[23:21] * Clara has a sudden moment of realization when she realizes she's back on Destiny. She shouts, "I have one! A larva! Alive!" She definitely wants to make sure it's /safe/.
[23:21] <Swept_Wing> "Wait, you have a /LIVE/ one of those fuckers?"
[23:22] * Swept_Wing groans. "We're doomed."
[23:22] * Swoop puts her forelegs over her head and waits for the end.
[23:23] * Spades_Slick goes over to the medical team with Snow
[23:23] * Swept_Wing just lays on his side, his body itching too much to do anything else.
[23:24] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The larva seems to be perfectly safe even after being removed from the hive.
[23:25] * Swoop sighs. "We need a vacation Swept."
