- When I designed MazaCoin I did so with a projected life span of at least a century. The Oglala Lakota are the most direct genetic descendants of the Clovis, the very first Native Americans in what is now called the USA. The history of the Clovis dates back at least 12,000 years and quite possible much more. So for the Oglala Lakota, a year, five years - even a century, is but a speck in the sands of time.
