>Ignoring the caps lock, this seems like a good opportunity, Reverse Scale Inc. is supposed to be incredibly wealthy and successful, owning countless businesses. A buyout from them could mean an early retirement.
>The date feels a bit too soon, but it's probably some kind of test by them to see how quickly I can think on my feet and to put pressure on me. I decide to send a reply saying "Noon tomorrow sounds good, we'll have your people and my people work things out."
>Brief and organize other managers and members of staff and make appropriate preparations for their arrival.
>Hear something outside, must be them.
>Look out of the window from my office and see what looks like a well-sized army of Lizardgirls, Salamanders and a Dragon outside, dressed in full armor and armed to the teeth.
>Probably no cause for alarm, it's probably just how they do things, it helps to take cultural backgrounds into account in business, especially in this city.
"ONWARD, CHARGE!" Yells the Dragon

>I see the army pour into the office building, and hear the sounds of a loud commotion coming from the ground floor.

"What the hell is this?!" I yell
"WE HAVE COME TO ACQUIRE YOUR BUSINESS FOR THE GLORY OF REVERSE SCALE INC. YOU'RE FEEBLE RESISTANCE IS NO MATCH FOR OUR MIGHT" She shouts in a booming voice.
"What?! This is a buyout! Isn't it?!"
"WE AGREED TO A BATTLE AT NOON OVER AN EMAIL EXCHANGE THAT TOOK PLACE YESTERDAY! YOU HAVE LOST AND NOW YOU, YOUR PEOPLE AND YOUR BUSINESS BELONG TO US. THOSE ARE THE SPOILS OF VICTORY!"
"There's no way this can be legal, you can't do this!"

"Clause 77bii) of the Official Monstergirl City Business Ledger 2011 clearly states that "Businesses may be acquired, along with their employees and employer, through force in the time-honored tradition of Medieval combat if the owner(s) agree(s) to the challenge sent by the Acquirer" She recites.
"You've got to be kidding me, what bullshit is that?" I spit
"I'm afraid she's right sir" Dennis, my lawyer, tells me after going through the ledger to the clause.
