  1. This rant is brought to you by the one and only Solaire.
  2.
  3. Really cannot stand the decision CPA made regarding the physics final. While I understand the decision of Mr. Aversa no longer teaching, what they did for the final is UNACCEPTABLE.
  4.
  5. What it all boils down to is this; people who do absolutely nothing but whine and moan about their "inability" to learn physics (or rather, their own incompetence, I quote one classmate who was marked off for not including diagrams in their work and responded with, "I don't see why I should do something I don't care about") are getting an essential FREE A for the final. (Essentially, the final has been replaced with five questions that any semi-competent person who has paid a moderate amount of attention for the past few months could answer while blindfolded and upside down)
  6.
  7. This is complete and utter bullshit. (Excuse my language, but frankly i do not care).
  8.
  9. People who don't care about the class should really just fail. As I said before, I understand the decision about Mr. Aversa leaving. I can accept that. I cannot accept the final being replaced with some junk that came out of 15 minutes of "Oh what simple questions could i put on this test to give people who whine and complain about the class due to their own lack of a freaking brain and blame it on the teacher for about 19 weeks of school a free A".
  10.
  11. This is just absolutely stupid.
  12.
  13. What this is essentially means that people are getting rewarded for not doing anything and not having ANY respect for learning. What about the people who actually tried to learn and succeeded? I thought schools were to advocate learning and improving one's knowledge, not rewarding people for acting like spoiled brats. Granted, people try and sometimes don't pass. Understandable. Sometimes it just happens. Sometimes people just can't do it. (Personally I'm of the belief that everybody is capable of learning anything, but the amount of effort they have to put in varies per person.) But for those who don't try, fail, and complain? And now they get a free passing grade for the final? This is absolutely outrageous. This is more outrageous than the documentary we were shown. Who cares about a movie talking about a geocentric universe that was made by a holocaust denier when the school is REWARDING PEOPLE FOR BEING IDIOTS?
  14.
  15. For those of you who know me on a decent level, you know why I am so angry (that is, because nothing irritates me more than actual stupidity and the unwillingness to improve, and giving a reward to people who do that is just completely stupid.)
  16.
  17. As an addendum, the class of 2017 did something that makes me absolutely ashamed to be a part of them. The initial reaction (also, the reaction of MOST of the juniors) to the announcement Mr. Aversa would no longer be teaching?
  18.
  19. It was a celebration. Not sadness, but EXCITEMENT that he lost his position as a teacher.
  20.
  21. Several people were expressing their happiness at the situation, saying things like "We did it!" and "He's finally gone!".
  22. This is unbelievable. This is just absolutely atrocious. As I said before, I am ASHAMED of being part of this year.
  23.
  24. And, to top it all off, these terrible actions?
  25. They're not getting punished at all. They're not even getting off scot-free.
  26. They're getting rewarded. A free passing grade on the final. (in hindsight if they really are idiots, they'd fail this one anyway)
  27.
  28. I hope each and every person who celebrated today, as well as the person I mentioned earlier, and the people who obviously do not care for the physics class or learning in general, fail their junior year horrendously.
  29.
  30. At the very least, they deserve that, if not worse.
