  1. 01[22:19] <@Plutonis> The day is February 4. During the last few days, the Argentfall residents have been besieged by a series of thefts perpetrated by an unknown gang of Pokémon. Swooping through the windows and swiping everything their grubby hands could, the thefts have been theorized to be coming from the abandoned park of Oz. Now the wanderers have been called to investigate the origin and to stop this rash of thefts.

  3. 01[22:21] <@Plutonis> You are on the main gate of the park. It is rusty and green-looking after all the years it was abandoned, with a large "Oz" sign written on the top of it. You can discern most attractions such as the roller coaster and the giant wheel from it, but the other ones appear to be illegible from where you are.
  4. 01[22:21] <@Plutonis> The sun is slowing setting down on the horizon, as night starts to fall...

  7. [22:24] <Kuji> "So, this is where the thefts came from, huh?" Kuji glanced at Hayate and Sophia before turning his gaze onto Salino. "I left the car with Jamal, so he could drive it all the way to Gryllsville. We'll meet up with them later."
  8. [22:25] <Salino> "Man... when I heard it was an amusement park I was kinda excited, but with it so run-down and rusty it's kinda creepy."
  9. 01[22:27] <@Plutonis> The gate appears to be open, the lock on the middle long broken... A gust of wind opens it before you, as a faded road of yellow bricks go further inside the park.

  11. [22:27] <Kuji> "...yeah, I have to admit, it's a little uneasing. But let's go. Where do we start looking, though..."
  12. 06[22:29] * Sophia has come with Nidhogg trailing her, the MASSIVE Onix taking care not to crush anything. "Were I thief, I would make to keep the most cover possible. Find the largest place to hide and we will sniff them out."

  14. [22:30] <Kuji> "Uh... where is that again? Do you know, Salino?"
  15. 06[22:30] * Hayate heads right for the the gate and sneaks to the side, checking the place out
  16. 06[22:31] * Kuji walks forward, scanning the place out.
  17. [22:32] <Salino> "I dunno pal... we should probably just check around everywhere we can so we are sure not to miss something... just stay with me Kuji this place creeps me out a little."
  18. 01[22:32] <@Plutonis> As you go further inside the bleaked barren park, you can't help but feel as all of you are being watched. Creaking noises and whispers come from all sides, and from where you guys are there are three main attractions. The Roggenrollencoaster, the Ponyta carrousel and the Shoot the Ducklett stand.
  19. [22:33] <Kuji> "Alright, then." Kuji grabs Salino's hand and keeps walking. "Hm... which place should we check out first?"
  20. [22:34] <Salino> "Well... the Shoot the Ducklett stand seems safe-- ...I mean shady enough that something could hide there."

  23. [22:35] <Kuji> "Alright then, let's go there first." He quickly tugs Salino along there.
  24. 01[22:35] <@Plutonis> Hayate notices various shadows flying above them, but can't discern the direction they went. There appears to be eight of them however.

  26. [22:37] <Kuji> "Huh? What is it, Hayate?"
  27. [22:37] <Sophia> Sophia follows quietly, her eyes watching the surroundings carefully. She let's her Telepathy range extend, touching at the surface thoughts of any nearby. Despite her desire to let private thoughts be private, it could be helpful to know if they're close to anyone. Nidhogg hangs over her, casting a huge shadow over the park.
  28. [22:38] <Hayate> "8 shadows detected. Attempting to inspect further."
  29. 06[22:38] * Hayate trudges further, as quite as possible
  30. [22:39] <Salino> "...Mysterious shadows are never a good thing. Man, how am I such a wimp for these things in my field..." Salino tightens his grip on Kuji's hand a little as he takes a deep breath.

  33. [22:41] <Kuji> "Don't worry about it, we all have our challenges." Kuji examines the duck stand thingy, seeing if anything was lurking there.

  35. 01[22:41] <@Plutonis> Sophia can see that there are various presences coming from the three attractions. Two of them on the stand, two on the carrousel and four on the coaster.

  37. 01[22:43] <@Plutonis> Meanwhile, as Kuji examines the Shoot the Ducklett stand, he notices that it has a pair of rusted air rifles on a table, various old, beaten and rotted stuffed toys on another and a pair of broken ducklett statues behind the caounter.

  43. [22:44] <Kuji> "...I'm surprised no one has lotted these yet." Kuji says, before turning his back on the stand. "Any of you find anything?"
  44. [22:45] <Sophia> "I have the feeling that we are walking into an ambush," Sophia says solidly. "Nidhogg, be prepared to call up a Sandstorm for cover if we need it." Through her telepathic link to the others, she says, 'I can feel two from the stand, two from the carousel, and four from the roller coaster.'

  46. [22:45] <Hayate> "Shall I make a distraction?"
  47. [22:45] <Salino> "...I knew I didn't like this place."
  48. [22:45] <Kuji> "Wait, what? I don't see anything near the stand at all." He turns back to check on it once again.
  49. [22:47] <Sophia> "Could be ghost Pokemon, Kuji," Sophia warns, kind of wishing Camelia were here. She knows those things better.
  50. 01[22:47] <@Plutonis> As Kuji approaches the stand, he sees that one of the plushies on the table has disappeared.

  52. [22:47] <Kuji> "...huh? Oh, where in the world did one go... hm... maybe I was just imagining it.
  53. [22:49] <Salino> "I seem to have a knack for running into the supernatural... they didn't train me for this..."
  54. [22:50] <Kuji> "Haha. Maybe they really like you."
  55. 01[22:50] <@Plutonis> Suddenly Hayate and Kuji feel like they are sort of lighter.
  56. [22:51] <Kuji> "..." Kuji looks down to his feat, a little... concerned? Yeah, that's it.
  57. 01[22:51] <@Plutonis> As in they had a great weight lifted from their shoulders and hey, the ground appears to be getting more distant.
  58. [22:52] <Kuji> "...uh... what's going on?"
  59. 06[22:52] * Hayate blinks.
  60. [22:52] <Hayate> "Unnatural movement. Urgency building."
  61. [22:52] <Salino> Salino's hand starts raising for some reason and before he can wonder what's going on he sees Kuji starting to float. "H-hey don't leave me pal!"
  62. 01[22:53] <@Plutonis> Meanwhile, Sophia and Salino can see a bunch of shadows carrying the other two guys to the top of the rollercoaster!
  63. [22:53] <Kuji> "I'm not trying to leave you!" Kuji says, as he attempts to hold on...but either dragging Salino along, or letting go. Most likely the former.
  64. 01[22:53] <@Plutonis> A shrill shriek comes from behind them however, as emerging from the shooting stand and the carousel are another two winged round-shaped shadows.
  65. [22:54] <Hayate> "Foul play assumed. Assessing the situation."
  66. 06[22:55] * Salino grabs on with both hands and struggles to pull Kuji back to him. "No way I'm letting ghosts take you!"
  67. 06[22:56] * Sophia looks to one of the shadows, trying to get a feel for what they want or intend. (Dig Deep) 'Come now, this is foolishness to think you had the jump on us,' she says to it mentally.
  68. [22:56] <Kuji> "Yeah, it seems we better get ready." Kuji says as he takes up his halberd with his other hand. "Alright, haven't done this one-handed."
  69. 06[22:58] * Kuji however, can't get ahold on Salino! "Salino! Wait for me!" He says, as hegrabs his weapon with both hands and gets ready to act.
  70. 01[22:58] <@Plutonis> The shadows appear to be really aggressive from what Sophia says. They intend to guard this place from intruders! Meanwhile, Kuji and Salino fail to hold together as the winged creatures forcefully pry them out, carrying Kuji and Hayate to the top of the Rollercoaster.
  71. [22:59] <Salino> Salino struggles visibly trying to pull Kuji but his lack of strength gets the better of him. "That's it I need to go to the gym. I can't keep failing you." With that Salino takes out a small crossbow from his belt and starts chasing after Kuji. "I'm right here pal!"
  72. 01[22:59] <@Plutonis> The shadows drop them on top of a cart in the highest point of the Roggenrollercoaster! It gives a dangerous creak as the both of you fall on its seats.
  73. [23:00] <Kuji> "...oh, great, a roller coaster ride. Let's hope this coaster isn't missing anything important."
  74. 06[23:00] * Hayate looks around. "What is this"
  75. 01[23:01] <@Plutonis> As Salino heads to his boyfriend's side, he almost trips as one of the winged creatures tries to put a foot in front of him. He manages to avoid it, but it appears they won't let him and Sophia reunite with the others.
  76. 06[23:02] * Salino stumbles a bit but manages to catch himself and keep running. "Not gonna catch me so easily!"
  77. 01[23:02] <@Plutonis> As the moon rises, you finally manage to identify the winged creatures. It appears they are furry balls with arms and feet and tail, with two large feathery wings on each of its side. They all wear red fezzes.
  78. [23:03] <Kuji> "Okay, Hayate, go use your bow or something." Kuji says, trying to swipe at any of the buggers close to him.
  79. 01[23:03] <@Plutonis> (Okay everyone, Speed and Dexes)
  80. [23:03] <Sophia> "Nidhogg," Sophia commands, "Please ensure they're safe on the coaster." She turns to the shadow again. "We are searching for suspected thieves. We do not mean to be intruders." With her words, she allows another burst of calming psychic energy to hit the shadows. (Calming Vibe)

  86. 01[23:05] <@Plutonis> There appears to be four of them on ground level with Sophia and Kuji and four of them on the top of the rollercoaster!

  91. 06[23:07] * Kuji takes out his Bayleef, since it's time he got a breath of fresh air.
  92. 01[23:08] <@Plutonis> The flying creatures are not phased by the vibe, they are too intent on their duty to protect the place to be bothered!

Please listen," She tries again, targeting the one specific one she read before, trying to make it see reason. "This does not have to end in violence."

  102. [23:16] <Salino> Salino stops running momentarily, seeing that a battle is going to ensue. "Alright, fine!" He points his crossbow at a mankey in the air and pops a shot.
  103. 01[23:18] <@Plutonis> It misses as well. Maybe someone has cast Protection from Arrows on those motherfuckers?

  105. 06[23:19] * Kuji sees if he can reach any of the flying thingies with his polearm...
  106. 01[23:20] <@Plutonis> The little guys are swooping near him as they are planning to scratch his eyes out so maybe?
  107. 06[23:21] * Kuji sends out his Bayleef and takes a swipe at the nearest enemy mon!
  108. 01[23:23] <@Plutonis> Ironically the only guy with a friggin melee weapon manages to hit the mankey! It appears to have been really hurt by it too.

  110. 06[23:23] * Sophia targets the one specific Mankey with Calming Vibe, trying to get that one to at least come to some kind of understanding with her. 'This does not have to be this way. Please just listen to me a moment?'To the others, she says, "We don't have to fight them. They're only protecting this place from intruders!"
  111. [23:24] <Kuji> And Kuji can't hear a thing, since he's ALL THE WAY UP THERE
  112. 01[23:25] <@Plutonis> While the Mankey doesn't seem to be placated, it slowly perches on the top of one of the stands, staring at Sophia. It mentally replies her with an ultimatum to leave.
  113. 01[23:25] <@Plutonis> Nidhogg!
  114. [23:27] <Sophia> "Nidhogg, use Harden," Sophia says, trying to make the huge creature a better shield for her to reason with the beasts. (+1 Def Combat Stage: 20*1.25=25 Def)
  115. 01[23:36] <@Plutonis> The mankeys swarm on you guys! One of them fells Nidhogg by kicking under him, the other does the same to Sophia. Meanwhile the others chop down Salino and Kuji, missing Hayate.

  117. 06[23:37] * Salino crumbles to the ground as the mankeys strike him, an unconscious heap.
  118. 06[23:38] * Kuji , unfortunately, can't see a thing from all the way up there.

  124. 01[23:45] <@Plutonis> The Mankey is pierced through his eye, crumpling on one of the rollercoaster rails with a crunch.

  126. 06[23:45] * Hayate nods. "Target removed."
  127. [23:46] <Kuji> "...okay, now riding the think is even more dangerous." He swipes at the Mankey who just hit him.
  128. 01[23:48] <@Plutonis> The halberd cuts off one of the Mankey's wings, and it falls on the floor, being crushed into paste on impact.

  130. [23:48] <Sophia> "Stop it," Sophia shouts, her face contorting in a mixture of anger and terror. It's not a pretty look for the otherwise beautiful desert girl. "You will all stop." Her hand aims for Salino a moment as she drops as much healing energy as she can on him. (Major Healing Power)

  144. [00:02] <Sophia> Sighing, Sophia steadies herself, bringing her hands to her breast and breathing deeply. "Very well. I am a Weaver. The title of Guardian is mine. I will not let you continue in this way." Her face takes on a different look. She's prepared to fight now, confident, focused.
  145. 01[00:05] <@Plutonis> Two of the remaining Mankeys blow their wings away on Sunny's direction, sending a gust of wind against it, but only one of them hits the Wingull! Meanwhile, one of the Mankeys leers at Lily while the last one on top of the rollercoaster starts pumping up while taking distance from the cart.

  170. 01[00:23] <@Plutonis> The cart slowly moves forwards as the wheels crank and screech while grinding on steel. It is milimeters from a fall, stopping... For only a second, as it starts to freefall down! You guys can't help but to almost lose control of bladder and gag reflexes as the cart slides down on terrifying speeds!
  171. 01[00:23] <@Plutonis> But when it reaches ground level, it moves for only a few meters due to inertia... Before decelerating... And stopping.
  172. 06[00:24] * Hayate coughs.
  173. 01[00:24] <@Plutonis> Sophia!
  174. 06[00:24] * Kuji hops out and runs forward to Salino. "I'm coming, Salino!"
  175. [00:24] <Hayate> "Reckless moves. Age hindering ability to enjoy."
  176. 06[00:24] * Sophia looks to one of the remaining Mankey and focuses all of her psionic energy on the Pokemon, attacking it with all her might. "I said before. You will stop this."

  179. 06[00:25] * Salino hears Kuji coming and quickly holds his crossbow up trying to look heroic. "No worries! I've been just fine!"
  180. 06[00:25] * Hayate stands in the kart, still a bit woozy

  183. 01[00:29] <@Plutonis> The Flying Mankey is crushed into a ball no longer than five centimeters wide by Sophia's power!
  184. 06[00:30] * Sophia turns her glare to the last one(s). "I will take you out next. Do not tempt me."
  185. 01[00:30] <@Plutonis> It drips blood and ooze while alling on the floor, while the other two of them scurry away, flying to inside a large green building!
  186. 06[00:31] * Hayate returns Petenshi and follows after them
  187. [00:32] <Kuji> "Good to see you again... now let's go catch those other two!" Kuji recalls Bush and runs forth, to the green building!
  188. 06[00:32] * Salino returns his crossbow to his belt and run after Kuji. Sunny soars above following closely behind. "H-hey wait up pal!"
  189. 01[00:34] <@Plutonis> Meanwhile, Sara has been called as a reinforcement for the group that went inside the Oz Park! Only Sophia manages to notice her as the guys hurry in the direction of the Emerald House.
  190. [00:34] <Sara> "...?" Sara cocks her head curiously - was this where she was supposed to be?
  191. 06[00:35] * Sophia rests a moment against Lily, feeling the strain of her moves. (Currently at 42/120 HP) "I will be there in a moment." She takes a moment to Meditate and restore her energy. (MEDITATE. HURR.) As Sara approaches, Sophia can be seen staring at a bloody mess on the ground, compacted into a tiny ball, eyes totally glazed over.
  192. 06[00:36] * Kuji keeps running, not even stopping to say hi, not noticing anyways. "...looks like you got hurt. Need this?" Kuji says, taking out a Hyper Potion.
  193. 06[00:36] * Sara picks up the strange ball and instantly drops it once her psychic powers tell her what it is.
  194. [00:37] <Sara> <Remind me to never get on your bad side. Anything I can do to help?>
  195. 06[00:37] * Hayate makes sure to grab his Pokeball along the way
  196. [00:38] <Salino> "What? I didn't get hurt I'm fine! I can handle things on my own sometimes..." Salino laughs nervously. By now Kuji probably can tell when he's lying.
  197. [00:39] <Kuji> "...alright, your loss." Kuji says, as he rushes to the building.
  198. [00:39] <Sophia> For a moment, Sophia doesn't respond. Then, she looks up at Sara, a great sadness in her eyes. 'I do not cause harm easily, let alone kill, but the more I explore this world, the more I find that my pacifism does me little good. Few respond kindly to it,' she says mentally to Sara. 'But I do what I must. I can do no different, after all.'
  199. [00:40] <Sara> <I understand. It's a dog-eat-dog world out here...I don't like it any more than you do though.>
  200. [00:41] <Salino> "Well I'm just glad you're okay. Seeing you get dragged off like that was terrible!"

  484. [03:05] <Sophia> All the rage evaporates as the battle ends, and Sophia rushes for her Pokemon, totally not caring about the Crow and Bisharp for now. "Niddy, no, no, no, come on. Rest here. We'll let you take it easy." She's totally not even paying attention to ANYTHING else.

  494. 06[03:09] * Hayate pulls out his bow and aims it at the Crow
  495. [03:09] <Sophia> "Hayate?" Sophia asks, pleading with her eyes. "Please?"
  496. [03:10] <Sophia> She stands in front of Hayate's bow directly.
  497. [03:10] <Salino> "Hayate I am still an active force of the law. I will not hesitate to arrest you if I have to. Stand down now."
  498. [03:10] <Salino> "There is nothing to gain from killing in revenge."
  499. [03:11] <Hayate> "I do not care for what is to gain, only to pay for what has been lost."
  500. [03:12] <Sophia> "Please, Hayate," Sophia says, pushing her Calming Vibe onto him. "Just let me handle it?"
  501. [03:12] <Salino> "Intentionally attempting to kill a pokemon is a crime and I will not stand for it." Salino aims his own crossbow at Hayate. "Put the weapon down."
  502. [03:13] <Hayate> "at allow me do take the head of the crow"
  503. [03:15] <Kuji> "..." Kuji just walks up to the bird and trainer and picks up the trainer, expecting a blow from the bird.
  504. [03:15] <Salino> "Kuji... a little help here?"
  505. 01[03:17] <@Plutonis> The Krow shoots a straw shuriken at Kuji, grazing him. It doesn't like that he picked his master!
  506. [03:17] <Sophia> "No, I refuse." She walks to the crow, standing between it and Hayate the entire time. She puts her Calming Vibe on the bird and says, "It's going to be okay. We're not going to hurt her anymore. I promise." She extends a hand to pet the crow, expecting an attack in retaliation.
  507. 06[03:17] * Kuji winces from the pain, but keeps on carrying her outside.
  508. 01[03:18] <@Plutonis> It looks at Sophia, glaring at her... Then at the others... Then at the downed Heartless... And it backs off. Forthe one without brains, he seems not to be very stupid. The bird goes down through one of the sewer shafts, escaping out of the place.
  509. 06[03:19] * Hayate pulls back his bow and nods. "Mission.. success?"
  510. 06[03:19] * Kuji goes through the tunnel, out of the castle, and... well, just carries her off. "You all coming?"
  511. [03:19] <Salino> "Thanks Kuji." Salino puts away his crossbow and looks over everyone. "Good work, I'll make sure she is put away for the rest of her life for what she has done."
  512. 06[03:19] * Hayate just kind of stands in one spot, staring off into space
  513. [03:19] <Sara> <...> Sophia feels a hand on her shoulder. Sara just seems to be blankly staring off into space.
  514. [03:21] <Kuji> "...alright, Salino, where do we go?"
  515. 01[03:21] <@Plutonis> And so, the Wanderers leave the Emerald Castle, having captured the deranged scientist Dorothy, who was sent to a youth reabilitation center. However they shall never forget the heated battle, the tears and the rage that took part under the sewers of the Magical Land of OZ...
  516. [03:21] <Sophia> "W-wait," she says, flashing a sad, sympathetic look to Sara before running after the crow. 'N-no, wait, you don't have to leave.' she says telepathically to the bird.
  517. 06[03:21] * Salino walks over to Hayate, putting a hand on his shoulder. "I'm sorry. Even if she was a horrible person... would you want another person to go through the pain you are?" With that Sal left him be and went after Kuji. "Where else? This crazy broad is going to the station."

  519. [03:22] <Kuji> "Which one?" Kuji looks around the amusement park, not really expecting a station to be near here.
  520. 06[03:22] * Hayate follows afterwards and holds a now empty pokeball and mutters under his breath. "Karasu... Krow"
