Bio (WIP?):

Jorund is a mountain of a man at seven feet, five inches, and around six hundred pounds. Enormously muscular and fat, most people tend to shy away from him because of his sheer enormity. In fact, this very quality is why he is being sent on this mission to protect Eleonore: Jorund is sometimes referred to, perhaps jokingly, as the 'secret weapon' of the Eferian Army. Although he is normally a gentle giant and is in fact a bit slow and scared of people, when he is attacked he becomes a terror of the battlefield, crushing his enemies.

He was originally a farmer in the eastern regions of Eferia. He was always large for his size and simple-minded, but his parents cared for him very much and he liked working on their farm, taking care of the animals and harvesting the crops. It is likely that, like the rest of his family, he would have lived and died on those ten acres had it not been for one of the many shifting border changes spurred by the Rivan Empire. The Rivan army, expecting no resistance, sent a small group to raid his farmstead and killed his family while he was out cutting wood. He came back in the midst of the slaughter and, enraged, cut down the Rivan soldiers. Unfortunately, only one sister survived long enough for him to return home.

An Eferian squad that had been moving to intercept the Rivans arrived just in time to see Jorund finish off the last of the ten or so soldiers. They had little trouble hauling the injured and exhausted giant back with them as he respected their authority, and after a few days of healing and a promise to keep Idonia Kellman safe until she recovered from the trauma, he was conscripted into the army where he fought many battles against the Rivans. Only recently was he called back to the palace for this new mission.
