  1. Your first thought opening the Google Doc is going to be "Christ, that's a lot of tabs." The docs have grown unwieldy, yes, but you only need to focus on a few things to find your place in the writers room.
  2.
  3. Step 1: Read your company's last month of material. Make sure you're up to date on what feuds are going, and what's been televised.
  4. Step 2: Open the Google Doc and find your company's tab regarding Current Feuds. Read this to see what's planned for immediate future. From there, find the tab detailing planned Future Storylines/Feuds. See what things are roughly laid out for the not-so-immediate future.
  5. Step 3: Write a segment or two for the upcoming TV show/event.
  6.
  7. It's just that simple getting started. From there, there's plenty of ways to contribute, but I'd say you should take your next step by writing your first storyline. Look over the roster (or ask for suggestions on IRC) for someone, probably lower on the card, who needs a storyline. Write out your skeleton plans for a 1-2 month long angle, ending on a PPV. From there, pitch it to your fellow writers and have them tweak things a bit.
  8.
  9. Tips:
  10. - If you can't seem to be on IRC when other folks are, then use the chat function of the Google Doc to get some dialogue back and forth
  11. - After major events, your company will give a speech - pointing out members of your roster, either good or bad. These are done in IRC immediately after the event runs.
  12. - You're allowed to "scout" a match at every major event - but it's up to you to remember! Scouting gives you a much closer look at the workers involved to see what was good and what was bad.
  13. - Remember that I only make in-game actions based off of two tabs - the Actions for JR/Booking tab, and the This Week's Show tab. Everything else is for your organization purposes only.
