Bar the tall, muscular boy leaning on the gazebo fence with a little mechanical bug hovering off to one side, watching him. Looking out over the brisk morning, his face doesn't betray any particular emotion. God knows what he's doing there, besides just standing. He's not even wearing a jacket.
Jun 08 17:15:59 <DarnellJermaine>	Markus is sitting a few feet away, pale skin and long dark hair. This kid doesn't like he goes out a lot-especially with those long fingernails. He looks up at Callum and sneers a bit to himself "Tch" he begins writing faster and more furiously in his little leatherbound journal. Screw that kid, I bet he's popular. He writes for another few seconds before just straight up glaring at the man, waiting to see if he'd go away or approach him.
Jun 08 17:19:25 <Knave>	Callum turns his head, appears to notice Markus for the first time. Slowly he turns on the spot, leans his elbows on the fence, looking at Markus. The bug robot beside him flicks its gaze to Markus, then focuses back on Callum. "Something I can help you with?"
Jun 08 17:20:39 <DarnellJermaine>	Markus continues to glare down at him. Who did this guy think he was huh? Just because he was big and probably popular- screw off dude. "Not really no. You're in my way" he said with a little growl, slamming his journal shut.
Jun 08 17:22:35 <Knave>	"Yeah?" Callum cocks an eyebrow, tone even, and looks around the vast, empty courtyard, "Seems to me there's plenty of room here for the both of us."
Jun 08 17:25:17 <DarnellJermaine>	Markus glares a bit more before standing up and walking towards him. "What's up with you? You showing off or something? Think you're better than me?" he says pretty angrily, but he also seems to be shaking a bit like he's quite scared.
Jun 08 17:27:49 <Knave>	Callum, unmoved and unmoving, looks Markus up and down, "Don't know you." A flicker of a smile that doesn't fit perfectly on his face, like he picked it up from someone else, "Why? Do /you/ think I'm better than you?"
Jun 08 17:29:43 <DarnellJermaine>	He shakes a little bit more and puts his head down. "I don't freaking know, damnit." he says, still staring at the ground. "I'm Markus" his clenched fists seem to ease up a bit.
Jun 08 17:31:14 <Knave>	Callum's green eyes soften, and he extends a hand to Markus, "I'm Callum. Nice to meet you." The gentle smile that spreads across his face looks a lot more natural.
Jun 08 17:32:12 <DarnellJermaine>	Markus looks up inbetween the bangs of his long dark hair, and slowly reaches out a hand. His skin is incredibly pale and his fingernails are freaking long- like at least 2 or 3 inches! Gross! "So why are you being nice? Aren't you just gonna go make fun of me later?" he says, still a bit wary but much less frustrated and angry.

He ribs, and withdraws his hand, leaning back again, "And I'm being nice because my parents raised me right."

At least you've got manners" Not really, but Markus seems to believe that. He's of the idea that 'It's everyone ELSE'S fault he's not popular' nor does Markus seem to possess any real manners of his own- or if he does he certainly hasn't shown as much yet.

"Students here are pretty welcoming, what with us all being in the same boat and all. Some of the students are a bit much... and if you meet someone with real pale skin and blue hair, don't take their insults personally. That's just their way, they talk to everyone like that." Callum's smile splits a little further, "Sorry. Left my mouth running, didn't I?"

"It's fine... you're cool" he said, staring up at Callum with a hint of admiration, having to crane his neck up considering poor Markus is only 5'2". "So... what do you do around here?" he averts his eyes once more, still feeling uncomfortable with the whole social thing.

Callum sits himself down on the nearest of the benches lining the gazebo, "I mostly used to watch games with my pa, I guess." He brings his gaze up from the floor back to Markus, "So what kind of stuff do you write? I wish I was smart enough for stuff like that. I'm kind of bad with words."

They're the only people he can be normal around and get along- besides his old buddy Jimmy back home. "Cool... hehe... cool. I uh, write my thoughts..." he looks away again. God, it's hard to look at that guy- he's just so... intimidatingly cool!

He rubs the back of his neck again and looks bashful, "How's that?"
