  1. >26th June.
  2. >Greetings, diary.
  3. >The events of last night will surely haunt me, but in a way, I am no longer perturbed by them.
  4. >I am happy to report that I feel much calmer.
  5. >Almost tranquil, as if a dark cloud has been dispersed and made way for the sun.
  6. >I awoke in the arms of Anonymous.
  7. >If I had to describe it, I would say it felt right.
  8. >Just right.
  9. >I awoke with a jump, I am unsure why but this caused Anonymous to also awaken.
  10. >The smile on his face when he saw me looking into his eyes instantly alleviated my mood.
  11. >We held each other's gaze for a while, and spent a long time simply lying in each other's embrace.
  12. >No words were spoken.
  13. >Just Anonymous and I, basking in the warmth of my chambers.
  14. >I have no doubt in my mind that that moment alone is the reason behind my current demeanour.
  15. >One way to describe it would be liberating.
  16. >I feel liberated from doubt, and fear. Strange how simply spending a morning with one you love can do that.
  17. >The rest of the morning was carried out in the very same sort of silence.
  18. >We spoke barely a single utterance, and were content to drift alongside one another, enjoying the morning's food and warmth of the day.
  19. >I saw Celestia as I was walking down a hall alongside my love.
  20. >She simply offered a small smile, then departed, as though not wanting to hinder us.
  21. >From an outsider's perspective, it must have seemed strange, to see neither one of us talking to one another, as though something was amiss. The truth could not be further from it.
  22. >The morning was peaceful. No pointless drama or resentment.
  23. >I suppose this must be what it feels like to have finally obtained the human of my affection.
  24.
  25. >There was a moment whereupon I glanced at him as he was passing a window.
  26. >The sun hit him in such a way that he seemed almost divine in nature, a shining angel from up high sent to accompany me.
  27. >Reading that back to myself, I can't help but laugh.
  28. >"Shining angel"? What has Celestia done to me? (I shall try not to dip into such sickeningly sweet metaphor again).
  29. >Anonymous left for Ponyville. I accompanied him to the train station with an escort this time.
  30. >The citizens muttered their petty complaints to themselves once more, but I cared not.
  31. >I truly mean that.
  32. >My good mood is indomitable.
  33. >Anonymous shall continue to send me letters, and he even invited me to live with him in Ponyville.
  34. >The idea was laughable, but a laugh without malice. More a laugh of endearment.
  35. >I was touched that he wished to spend each day in my company.
  36. >My royal duties are sporadic, however. And I need to remain in Canterlot by sister's side in case she requires my assistance. (Teleporting to and from Ponyville would be exhausting).
  37. >Anonymous also has work of his own in Ponyville, as well as obligations to various ponies to uphold.
  38. >I am proud of how well he has integrated into our society.
  39. >I don't even see him as an alien being any more.
  40. >He is simply Anonymous.
  41. >My Anonymous.
  42. >Farewell, diary.
  43. > ~Luna.
  44.
  45.
  46.
  47. >27th June
  48. >Greetings, diary.
  49. >Anonymous has returned safely to Ponyville, and he sent me a letter to confirm.
  50. >My collection of his letters is growing steadily, I am thinking of creating a sort of archive for them.
  51. >Though I think that might appear somewhat off-putting.
  52. >They are my letters, however. I can do with them as I wish. I shall simply not tell Anonymous.
  53. >(Note to self: Create letter archive - store with moonflower).
  54. >I have spoken with Celestia of that night's events.
  55. >A most dangerous look crossed her face ever so briefly as I described what the citizens had uttered.
  56. >But it was gone the instant it had arrived, replaced by her ordinary serene smile.
  57. >She was happy that Anonymous and I had grown closer. As am I.
  58. >The rest of the day was spent exercising and teaching Filtz to do various tasks.
  59. >He compliments my character perfectly, and I enjoy feeding him oranges from my hoof.
  60. >Farewell, dairy.
  61. > -Luna.
  62.
  63.
  64.
  65. >28th June.
  66. >Greetings, diary.
  67. >Discord managed to find a way into Celestia's bed chambers (again) and has dressed each and every member of the Solar Guard in comically oversized gala dresses.
  68. >I must admit, the sight of a stallion dressed entirely in garish pink while trying to maintain his composure before me was highly amusing.
  69. >I spent at least 5 minutes staring down one such guard as he attempted to remain professional.
  70. >His look of discomfort made me laugh.
  71. >My laugh made him even more uncomfortable.
  72. >Eventually, Celestia tracked down the beast and forced him to reverse his shenanigans.
  73. >How, I am unsure. But I heard a distant screaming on the winds at lunch time.
  74. >Sister can be very foreboding.
  75. >I shall write to Anonymous on the matter. He will enjoy such an escapade.
  76. >Farewell, diary.
  77. > -Luna.
  78.
  79.
  80.
  81. >29th June.
  82. >Greetings, diary.
  83. >I have sent Anonymous a letter:
  84. >"My darling Anonymous."
  85. >I enjoyed writing that opening. It feels as though it makes our relationship much more official to scrawl it on paper.
  86. >"Discord dressed the guards in Celestia's clothing. It was humorous. With love - Luna."
  87. >The first of no doubt many letters.
  88. >Though I confess that there has been one thought that has been troubling me.
  89. >Anonymous is young for a human, according to him. How much longer will his life last?
  90. >He has told me that the average human lifespan is around 80 years.
  91. >Do I truly have such a short amount of time with him?
  92. >Had I the ability to make him immortal I would do so in an instant.
  93. >But it still frightens me to imagine him being weathered down by the sands of time.
  94. >I shall think of something.
  95. >Anonymous is my first love, and I shall do my duty as his to ensure that he spends the rest of eternity alongside me.
  96. >(Does that seem mad? It sounds quite mad when I read it back to myself).
  97. >Farewell, diary.
  98. > -Luna.
  99.
  100.
  101.
  102. >30th June.
  103. >Greetings, diary!
  104. >Anonymous has replied (with great haste, might I add):
  105. >"Hey there, sweetcheeks."
  106. >I shall destroy every bone in his body should he call me that again. (No I won't).
  107. >"Discord sounds more and more like someone I would enjoy hanging out with. Also, you said you liked poems, so I thought I would write you one."
  108. >Poetry? How wonderful! I'm sure that whatever Anonymous writes shall be the most mentally engaging piece.
  109. >"Oh pony of blue mane, you're kind of insane. Your butt is soft, and mood quite aloft. I'm glad we could bond, so please do respond."
  110. >Diary, as much as I love my human. That was the worst thing I have ever read (bar that magazine article on that musician I read a while ago) and pray that he never writes anything so terrible again.
  111. >That being said, I cannot bear to hurt his feelings, so I shall tell him subtly that it requires improvement.
  112. >Filtz has developed a habit of raiding the castle kitchens in search of fruit.
  113. >I shall ask him to steal a moon pie whenever he does so in the future.
  114. >Farewell, diary.
  115. > -Luna.
  116.
  117.
  118.
  119. >1st July.
  120. >Greetings, dairy.
  121. >I spent most of the night contemplating how to tell Anonymous what he needs to know without making him feel bad.
  122. >This was the result (I'm quite proud of it):
  123. >"My darling Anonymous."
  124. >"Stop writing poetry. Do not call me 'sweetcheeks'. I love you. -Luna."
  125. >Perfect, is it not?
  126. >Hopefully he sees the errors of his ways and crafts a masterpiece.
  127. >I showed Filtz my moonflower today.
  128. >He tried to eat it.
  129. >I told him that should he lay a fang on it, I shall launch him into the sun.
  130. >He did not eat it.
  131. >(He's such a good bat).
  132. >My aid was requested today by a noble. Apparently there is a dispute between his family and another.
  133. >I care little for the squabbling of nobles, but they fund the royal treasury, and I would hate for my private accounts to suffer because I did not muster the courage to endure some bickering.
  134. >Tomorrow I am to meet with them.
  135. >Farewell, diary.
  136. > -Luna.
  137.
  138.
  139.
  140. >2nd July.
  141. >Greetings, diary.
  142. >The meeting with the nobles went very wel|//-...
  143. >It went very unwell.
  144. >I appeared before both families. They were arguing over the rights to some farmland, and there had been a miscommunication involving the deed to the fields.
  145. >Both families claimed ownership.
  146. >Using some tricks I gathered from Celestia, I attempted to settle the dispute by giving each family half the farmland.
  147. >They seemed reluctant at first.
  148. >The wife of one of the nobles muttered to her husband that she did not feel comfortable taking suggestions from a pony that consorted with monsters.
  149. >I set her mane on fire.
  150. >She screamed.
  151. >A lot.
  152. >The families panicked and I resorted to suspending them in the air, much like I do with the garrison every morning.
  153. >But while the garrison is completely indifferent (some guards do not even pause what they were doing, some even reading the newspaper upside down) the families were traumatised.
  154. >Angered by their lack of control and rationality, I put them all to sleep then spent the next hour visiting them in their dreams and planting the idea that they should be more open minded about other pony's relationships. (Also that they should share the farm land).
  155. >Then I left, but not before stamping out the mare's smouldering mane.
  156. >I do not care for what they say regarding my love, but that does not mean I will tolerate blatant insults.
  157. >Some might say this means that I -do- care.
  158. >Such ponies would be wrong. I am Princess Luna. Therefore I am justified in my actions. (Most of the time).
  159. >At least Anonymous respects my violent tendencies.
  160. >He loves me just the way I am. So I shall remain as I always have.
  161. >Farewell, diary.
  162. > -Luna.
  163.
  164.
  165.
  166. >3rd July.
  167. >Greetings, diary.
  168. >Anonymous has sent another letter, and I shall read it right now:
  169. >"My dearest and most venerated Princess Luna - Queen of the dreamscape and mistress of night."
  170. >His flattery shall be rewarded. Handsomely.
  171. >"I shall not rest until I have created a poem of such beauty that it reduces dragons to tears."
  172. >Anonymous must educate himself on dragon society. They are really quite emotional beasts and crying is not uncommon.
  173. >"Anywho, got a new job! It's an upgrade from working at Applejack's all day. Now I'm helping out Rarity make dresses. It's not really my kind of thing, but it's nice to get a bit more money and to work indoors for a change. Love you too. -Anonymous."
  174. >Glorious! I shall send him my congrat//--...
  175. >There appears to be a footnote that I have missed.
  176. >"P.S: Be more careful when sealing your letters, the last few I have received have arrived with broken seals."
  177. >That is peculiar.
  178. >I always ensure that the letters are sealed before sending them away to Ponyville.
  179. >No matter, I shall be more careful in future.
  180. >Farewell, diary.
  181. > -Luna.
  182.
  183.
  184.
  185. >4th July.
  186. >Greetings, diary.
  187. >A pony decided to launch a firework this morning. It woke up all of Canterlot.
  188. >I was already awake, of course. But the ponies in the city looked very disgruntled to be up at 5am.
  189. >Whoever that pony was, I should find them and thank them.
  190. >Those damned civilians need to get up early every once in a while.
  191. >Filtz has mapped out the entire castle, as well as much of the surrounding areas.
  192. >As a result, he is happy to fly about everywhere when I am not tending to him.
  193. >He landed on a guard's head today. He screamed. (The guard, not the bat. That would be silly).
  194. >I suppose I should have mentioned that Northern Nightreaver Vampire Bats are quite large, bigger than owls and other creatures of the night.
  195. >This also is a key factor as to why Celestia lost her mind when she was "viscously assaulted" by the "great winged monstrosity".
  196. >Filtz is no monstrosity. He is a gentle, warm hearted creature that just so happens to feed on blood from time to time.
  197. >He is my faithful companion, and I love him very much.
  198. >He is currently sleeping on my head.
  199. >His wings are draped on either side of my face.
  200. >It is most endearing.
  201. >Farewell, diary.
  202. > -Luna.
  203.
  204.
  205.
  206. >5th July.
  207. >Greetings, diary.
  208. >I have written a letter to Anonymous in response to his previous note:
  209. >"My darling Anonymous."
  210. >"Glad you have a new job. Rarity is a good pony. My letters shall be more secure. Respond soon. -Luna."
  211. >I have made sure to stamp it with a seal 3 times in order to make them more secure during their journey to Ponyville.
  212. >Celestia and Twilight Sparkle have instant scroll teleportation magic through Spike.
  213. >Perhaps I should steal him away and use him for my own gains.
  214. >I send my letters through the postal service, of course. As does Anonymous. I could send my letters through Spike, but that would seem rude. (From what I hear, he gets enough abuse as it is).
  215. >But why he does not use the dragon as he did when we first began exchanging letters perplexes me.
  216. >Regardless, the postal service is quick and effective. And I admire the diligence of the ponies who take it upon themselves to ensure that the letters reach their destinations as quickly as possible.
  217. >I shall have to send them my thanks for their services.
  218. >Farewell, diary.
  219. > -Luna.
  220.
  221.
  222.
  223. >6th July.
  224. >Greetings, diary.
  225. >A most amusing thing occurred today.
  226. >My faithful guard, who I believe is called 'Dusky' contracted pony flu.
  227. >Still, he insisted on standing outside my door, sniffling and attempting to halt those that might bother me.
  228. >At one point this afternoon, he saluted me as I walked past.
  229. >Out of curiosity, I reached forward and tapped his chest.
  230. >He immediately crumpled to the floor, asleep.
  231. >(He dreams about the oddest things).
  232. >I carried him to the barracks and left him by the door with a note asking his commanding officer to give him the day off.
  233. >His commitment is admirable, but I shall not have my guards be incapable of doing anything.
  234. >Celestia shouted at a noble today.
  235. >He started crying.
  236. >I found the two of them hugging later on.
  237. >Sister is a mother to these ponies, I do not know how she puts up with them for such long periods of time.
  238. >They drive me to insanity.
  239. >Farewell, diary.
  240. > -Luna.
  241.
  242.
  243.
  244. >7th July.
  245. >Greetings, diary.
  246. >A letter from Anonymous has arrived! (The seal was broken again. I shall be having words with the post office for their insubordination. Speed of delivery is no excuse for damaged goods).
  247. >I shall transcribe it post-haste. (I created a pun!)
  248. >"Hey, Luna."
  249. >I often wonder how calling someone food came to become a slang greeting. Perhaps I shall never know.
  250. >"Twilight has been acting up lately. She keeps annoying me day after day. It's starting to get on my nerves. I like the girl, sure. But she's pushing for something more, even though I've told her I'm with you."
  251. >This poses a great problem indeed. I shall pay a visit to Ponyville in the future to resolve this issue.
  252. >"The job at Rarity's is going great. She's a wonderful boss to me, as well as a close friend. She's not as pushy for details on everything I do as Twilight is."
  253. >Once more Twilight Sparkle makes an appearance. This troubles me.
  254. >"Making a lot of bits from the job, might even be able to afford another trip to Canterlot to see you soon (fingers crossed!)"
  255. >What does the crossing of fingers mean? Another visit from my beloved sounds absolutely glorious.
  256. >"Hope to see you soon. -Anonymous"
  257. >"PS: How do I deal with Twilight?"
  258. >Twilight Sparkle seems adamant to admit that Anonymous and I are an item. And thinking back, she seems to have grown quite attached to him over time.
  259. >Should I intervene, diary? Or should I wait for it to resolve itself?
  260. >As I mentioned before, a trip to Ponyville would help to resolve this, but it might upset Twilight Sparkle.
  261. >Contrary to popular belief, I do not dislike the mare. She is wise beyond her years, if not a bit naive.
  262. >(I suppose calling -her- naive makes me a hypocrite).
  263. >Nevertheless, such a startling display of arrogance from Twilight Sparkle shall not be met with kindness.
  264. >I shall be quick to inform her that her actions are not appreciated.
  265. >I should write her a letter!
  266. >Farewell, diary.
  267. > -Luna.
  268.
  269.
  270.
  271. >8th July.
  272. >Greetings, diary.
  273. >I have composed a letter to Twilight Sparkle.
  274. >It shall surely fix this problem.
  275. >"Dear Ms. Twilight Sparkle."
  276. >"Anonymous is my human. Get your own. - Princess Luna."
  277. >Should another human suddenly appear in Equestria, she is more than welcome to indulge and claim him for herself.
  278. >But Anonymous is my beloved.
  279. >Our bond is unbreakable.
  280. >We have eaten moon-pies together.
  281. >He has given me a flower crafted with his own two hands!
  282. >We have battled one another over this very diary!
  283. >Such an attachment cannot be despoiled by the actions of an insolent little unicorn, and I feel that I got that across in my letter.
  284. >I feel no regrets sending it to her.
  285. >A letter was also written to Anonymous (Triple stamped once more).
  286. >"My darling Anonymous."
  287. >"Instructed Twilight Sparkle to go away. You're mine. I love you. Pleased to hear the job is going well. Would enjoy seeing you again. - Luna."
  288. >This should reassure him.
  289. >I shall wait and see. I have no doubt that it will work.
  290. >Farewell, diary.
  291. > -Luna.
  292.
  293.
  294.
  295. >9th July.
  296. >Greetings, dairy.
  297. >By now, Twilight Sparkle will have received her instructions. She will not defy a princess, no matter how much she desires to.
  298. >In light of developments, I attempted to see into her dreams.
  299. >This was met with complications.
  300. >The moment I even thought about seeing her dreams, I developed a great headache.
  301. >Despite this, I pushed forward and attempted to enter her mind.
  302. >This only caused the headache to intensify, and I was forced to sever the link between our minds before I could even enter the dream due to an unfathomable agony coursing through my head.
  303. >I have noted that this has happened before, it seems that thinking about Twilight Sparkle's dreams induces headaches.
  304. >It cannot possibly be a coincidence, and I fear that Twilight may be guarding her mind from intrusion.
  305. >Such magic is powerful, and ordinary unicorns cannot manage such a mental barrier.
  306. >Then again, Twilight Sparkle is no ordinary unicorn.
  307. >Celestia knows what to look for in a student.
  308. >I shall have to be cautious when proceeding. I do not enjoy being barricaded out of dreams. I like to know what makes a pony tick, and with both Anonymous and now Twilight seemingly being immune to my dreamwalking, I feel an unusual sense of helplessness.
  309. >The journey to Ponyville shall have to happen sooner rather than later.
  310. >Farewell, diary.
  311. > -Luna.
  312.
  313.
  314.
  315. >10th July.
  316. >Greetings, diary.
  317. >Anonymous has sent me yet another letter:
  318. >"Luna. I'm getting worried."
  319. >And now I am as well.
  320. >"Your letters keep arriving in the mail with their seals broken, and the last one was even crumpled slightly. I am friends with the mailpony, and she may be clumsy, but she treats my letters with utmost care. She tells me that they arrive at the post office broken. Is it a problem on your end?"
  321. >It most certainly is not. I took my last letter to the Royal Post Office personally. And I watched it leave for Ponyville.
  322. >"Twilight is starting to scare me. She looks more desperate each day, her mane is messy and her eyes are bloodshot. I'm writing this letter with my back to my front door, Luna. She's outside right now. She's been reading so many books lately and I don't think she's slept."
  323. >This letter is getting more disturbing the more I read. Anonymous' handwriting is scrawled, and rushed.
  324. >"She's my friend, Luna. I don't want to hurt her, but she just. Won't. Stop."
  325. >"Help. - Anonymous."
  326. >It is even more troubling that this letter also arrived with a broken seal.
  327. >As much as I dislike thinking about it, and as troubling as the implications are.
  328. >Someone is reading our letters.
  329. >Farewell, diary.
  330. > -Luna.
  331.
  332.
  333.
  334. >11th July.
  335. >Greetings, diary.
  336. >I left for Ponyville earlier this morning. The guards were eager to serve, as always, and I arrived in Ponyville within the hour.
  337. >Anonymous was overjoyed to see me, and hugged me for a full minute before telling me what had been transpiring.
  338. >Twilight Sparkle is rapidly becoming a problem. Her friends are concerned about her, Rarity more than most, and Anonymous is distressed because he and Twilight are close.
  339. >He does not wish for their friendship to be compromised.
  340. >The unicorn in question was elusive.
  341. >She arrived on his door step very early, banging on the door incessantly and calling for him.
  342. >I answered the door in Anonymous' place.
  343. >The look of horror on her face was both amusing and worrisome.
  344. >It means that she was not expecting me, which is humorous, but I cannot help imagine what she might have done had I not been there with Anonymous.
  345. >She teleported instantly, and I did not see her for the rest of the day, even after I went looking for her.
  346. >I cannot fathom her thought process, and the fact that I cannot see her dreams angers me.
  347. >Why must she protect herself so? I wish to assist her in overcoming her woes!
  348. >The rest of the day was spent with Anonymous. I watched over him with unflinching vigil.
  349. >I shall stay with him for a few days, and we shall search for Twilight Sparkle together.
  350. >With luck, she will avoid doing anything she will regret.
  351. >She might be powerful, but she is not an alicorn. I can protect Anonymous whilst I am near him.
  352. >Farewell, diary.
  353. > -Luna.
  354.
  355.
  356.
  357. >12th July.
  358. >Greetings, diary.
  359. >A long day of searching.
  360. >We could not find her.
  361. >I recruited her friends to search Ponyville, but she still remained hidden.
  362. >She is an elusive pony when she wants to be.
  363. >I personally questioned Spike on her whereabouts. He was insistent that he had not seen her.
  364. >He is but a whelp, and I ordered him to stay with Fluttershy until Twilight Sparkle was found.
  365. >(Fluttershy is a caring and gracious pony. She taught me to speak softly!)
  366. >Anonymous is awake, watching me write in your pages.
  367. >He cannot see what I am writing, though. (I am wise to his plans to peruse you).
  368. >I am worried. He seems tired, and anxious.
  369. >We shall sleep together tonight, as we did the previous night.
  370. >Farewell, diary.
  371. > -Luna.
  372.
  373.
  374.
  375. >13th July.
  376. >Greetings, diary.
  377. >Still she evades our searches.
  378. >I am beginning to wonder if she has enacted an invisibility spell on herself.
  379. >They are extremely advanced, and even Celestia has trouble with persistent invisibility.
  380. >It requires a lot of concentration to bend light around yourself in order to appear invisible, even more to maintain it. Therefore I doubt Twilight Sparkle has managed to conjure such a spell without exhausting herself.
  381. >Anonymous is reassured by my presence, however. And I have taken to assisting Ponyvillians abolish their woes whilst I am not assisting in the searches.
  382. >They are a kind populace. I enjoy their company far more than the ponies in Canterlot.
  383. >Farewell, diary.
  384. > -Luna.
  385.
  386.
  387.
  388. >14th July.
  389. >Greetings, diary.
  390. >In a last act of desperation, I unleashed a spell on the entire town that would alert me to Twilight Sparkle's presence. (I had not done so before because I deemed it impractical. Strong magic is very taxing).
  391. >It revealed nothing. Telling me that Twilight Sparkle has fled Ponyville.
  392. >Where to, I cannot imagine. But she is gone.
  393. >Rainbow Dash (another one of Anonymous' companions) offered to scout the Everfree Forest.
  394. >When she returned, however, she too found nothing.
  395. >I don't know what I find more unsettling, diary.
  396. >The fact that Twilight Sparkle is missing.
  397. >The fact that she has gone to such great lengths to remain hidden.
  398. >Or that she is so afraid of me.
  399. >What is she hiding? What has she done that could warrant a 4-day disappearance?
  400. >As much as I would like to stay in Ponyville, a cruel turn of events in Canterlot has led to Celestia requesting my assistance.
  401. >I received a letter from her this morning telling me that Discord has run amok once more, and she needs me to assist her in tracking him down.
  402. >From one search party to another.
  403. >I leave tomorrow, but I should like to return to Ponyville as soon as I can.
  404. >Anonymous needs defending.
  405. >And Twilight Sparkle must be brought to account.
  406. >Farewell, diary.
  407. > -Luna.
  408.
  409.
  410.
  411. >15th July.
  412. >Greetings, diary.
  413. >Still Twilight Sparkle had not returned by the time I had to leave.
  414. >Anonymous begged me to stay, and it tore at my heart to see him so distressed.
  415. >Discord shall suffer the full extent of my wrath once I find him.
  416. >I could not find Celestia once I had returned, so I assumed that she had left to hunt Discord.
  417. >It is night time in Canterlot, and I find myself constantly looking out my window towards Ponyville.
  418. >Such a pleasant town.
  419. >I would not mind living there, with my Anonymous.
  420. >Alas, I am of royal blood. And I was not blessed with a simple, short life to live out with my favourite human.
  421. >I suppose I should be thankful. Were I not an alicorn I would never have met Anonymous in the first place.
  422. >Such a tangled web fate weaves.
  423. >Tomorrow I hunt for Discord.
  424. >His meddling has cost me valuable time with my beloved.
  425. >Farewell, diary.
  426. > -Luna.
  427.
  428.
  429.
  430. >16th July.
  431. >Greetings, diary.
  432. >I spent the morning hunting for the foul beast.
  433. >To my surprise, he was taking a bath in a public fountain.
  434. >When I encased him in an entrapment spell, he seemed confused.
  435. >I was not about to fall for his trickery, however. And I brought him back to the castle, then imprisoned him.
  436. >Celestia remains to be seen. Hopefully she returns to the castle soon to punish Discord.
  437. >I can hear the beast now.
  438. >He's doing a fine job sounding apologetic.
  439. >I might even give him credit for such a convincing performance.
  440. >(No I won't).
  441. >Farewell, diary.
  442. > -Luna.
  443.
  444.
  445.
  446. >17th July.
  447. >Greetings, diary.
  448. >Something is horribly wrong.
  449. >Celestia returned to the castle this morning.
  450. >From a trip to an outlying village for a visit with their mayor.
  451. >I queried her on her letter, and she seemed bewildered.
  452. >I pressed both her and Discord on Discord's antics.
  453. >They both claimed that he was innocent.
  454. >(Though Celestia was still sore about the dresses).
  455. >The letter I received from her was a fake.
  456. >It was a perfect forge.
  457. >The kind that could fool even myself.
  458. >Only one pony has been around Celestia so much that she could create a perfect forgery.
  459. >I have been tricked, diary.
  460. >Twilight Sparkle has lured me away from my beloved.
  461. >Anonymous is in danger.
  462. >I must return to Ponyville at once.
  463. >Farewell.
  464. > -Luna.
  465.
  466.
  467.
  468. >Diary.
  469. >A letter from Anonymous just arrived now as I was preparing to leave.
  470. >I am scared to open it.
  471. >It bears an unbroken seal.
  472. >But I must master my fear, am I not the princess of the night?
  473. >It is but a scroll. What is there to fear?
  474. >It is as follows:
  475. >"Dear Princess Luna."
  476. >"I appreciate your sentiments, but I am going to have to ask you to cease sending me letters regarding this "relationship" you have conjured into existence between us. My heart has and always will belong to Twilight Sparkle. I apologise for any complications this may have caused."
  477. >"All the best. - Anonymous."
  478.
  479. >Farewell.
