  1. "GODS VIEW OF HONOR IS DIFFERENT THAN THAT OF THE WORLD"
  2.
  3. Prior to reading this article I focused honor mainly as belonging to God and to Parents but God goes further. So may I encourage all to read and study this lesson on how God views honor and who it should be bestowed upon. Truly we are ever learning but instead of not coming to the knowledge of the truth as some.....let us be the ones whom the bible says will find it. And the bible says it will be the ones who seek it with all their heart. (Jere.29:13; John 17:17)

  5. (Note: due to a few typos in article please look at the full text. For example Exodus 20:17 should be Exodus 20:7. It happens!!!-but true bereans will search it out as Acts 17:11 states)

  7. Excerpt from article:
  8. Peter tells us to “honor all people, love the brotherhood, fear God, honor the king” (1 Peter 2:17). The idea of honoring others, especially those in authority (the king), comes from the fact that they represent God’s ultimate authority. A classic example is the command to “submit to the governing authorities because they have been established by God” (Romans 13:1-6). Therefore, “he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves” (Romans 13:2). This means it is incumbent upon Christians to honor those whom God has placed over us through our obedience and demonstration of respect. To do otherwise is to dishonor God.

  13. Prayer: God may we do as 1Peter 2:17 states and that is, "honor all men". For God You made all people in "Your" image. In this God may we ever have Your guiding hand to do so. Amen!
