[2010-07-19 20::05:15] Doink: The pilots were given only a day to rest in the aftermath of their first combat. A day filled with post-combat tests, psych evaluations, and a total lack of explanation for the events of the previous day. The evening news, at least, seems to know nothing, giving only a passing mention to an “industrial accident” which led to a several-mile-wide quarantine zone being placed in Virginia for the foreseeable future.
[2010-07-19 20::05:24] Doink: And now, only a day later, the pilots must face their next challenge...
[2010-07-19 20::05:36] Doink: The pilots are awakened by the alarms on their NERV-issue clocks bright and early this morning. Downstairs, the Ward Hall cook has already prepared breakfast and is laying it out on the Dining Room table. The smell of fresh-cooked bacon and eggs wafts up the central shaft towards their rooms.

[2010-07-19 20::09:37] Henri_DEllaine: With a groan, Henri rolls over to turn off the alarm. The extra time to sleep from the time change was nice, but after all the hustle and bustle of combat and tests, Henri just wasn't feeling it. Perhaps he'll just flop back over for a few more minutes...
[2010-07-19 20::10:36] Kazimir_Prochazka: is on the floor trying to get in a few crunches before the day begins. As he counts off his last few, he gets dressed and begins walking downstairs: still buttoning up a plain shirt.
[2010-07-19 20::11:38] John_Kilanger: slowly gets out of bed after turning his alarm, and gets dressed in a plain green and white T-shirt, and some jeans, then heads downstairs to the messhall.
[2010-07-19 20::13:37] Michael_Al-Misiri: "Meat... yum." He stares at his pet turtle Shredder and smiles at him before putting on his clothes and running out to the source of the bacon.
[2010-07-19 20::13:52] Kazimir_Prochazka: nods to John for a good-morning, then sits at the table.
[2010-07-19 20::14:39] John_Kilanger: grabs a plate of bacon and toast, and sits at the same table as Kaz
[2010-07-19 20::15:36] Doink: On one of the side-tables against the wall, there is a row of what appear to be folded suits of clothes, neatly lined up
[2010-07-19 20::16:34] Michael_Al-Misiri: starts piling bacon on to a plate, his saliva dripping. "Bacon..."
[2010-07-19 20::16:50] Kazimir_Prochazka: shoots a glance at Mike and his subhuman table manners, before turning back to John.
[2010-07-19 20::16:53] Henri_DEllaine: The alarm clock goes off again, this time with a deadly shrill. Rolling back over, Henri stares at the klaxon box for a second before finding out how to turn it off for good. As much as he'd rather stay in bed, being late would cause more troubles. Staying in pyjamas, he finally heads downstairs with a slightly foul look on his face.
[2010-07-19 20::17:02] Kazimir_Prochazka: "Looks like we're the only ones up."
[2010-07-19 20::17:27] Michael_Al-Misiri: "I wonder if Shredder would eat cooked bacon..."
[2010-07-19 20::17:39] Michael_Al-Misiri: "I'll save him a piece." He smiles to himself.
[2010-07-19 20::19:45] Michael_Al-Misiri: grabs a fist full of bacon and shoves it in his mouth, so much in fact he can't chew with his mouth closed.
[2010-07-19 20::20:13] Henri_DEllaine: Taking a quick survey of the room, Henri gives a half hearted wave to his comrades before swerving towards the folded clothes. Grabbing the pile labeled "03," Henri begins to head back upstairs.
[2010-07-19 20::20:55] Kazimir_Prochazka: gains a stone-faced composure at Michael's chomping, but tries to keep his attention focused on John.
[2010-07-19 20::21:11] Michael_Al-Misiri: "HENRI MHAY I PLEASH HASH YOUR BACONS?" He yells out, his speech altered by the gob of meat in his mouth.
[2010-07-19 20::22:28] Kazimir_Prochazka: "...we also seem to be the only civilized ones here."
[2010-07-19 20::23:10] Henri_DEllaine: Henri stops for a second, staring back at Mike whose mouth seems ready to betray it's contents. He hangs there, just staring for a second, before turning and leaving the room with only a grumble of "I'll be in the bath."
[2010-07-19 20::23:14] Ruru_Fields: walks down the stairs looking blank and bored. She sighs and fixes her clothing for the fourth time and sweeps at her bangs again before looking around demandingly for bacon.

[2010-07-19 20::23:32] Michael_Al-Misiri: pushes another fist full into his mouth after coughing, attempting to swallow a gob he didn't chew properly.

[2010-07-19 20::23:50] John_Kilanger: puts some of the bacon from his plate on his toast and begins to eat it.

[2010-07-19 20::27:15] Doink: A man in a khaki NERV uniform walks into the Dining room. He appears to be the same person who escorted the pilots to the Eva hanger only two days earlier.
[2010-07-19 20::27:30] Michael_Al-Misiri: forces the last piece of bacon in his mouth and quickly gets up to take Henri's.
[2010-07-19 20::27:37] Doink: He puts up a hand with an awkward smile. "Don't mind me. Finish eating."
[2010-07-19 20::28:04] Kazimir_Prochazka: turns back to John, and immediately changes the subject.

[2010-07-19 20::31:03] Kazimir_Prochazka: grabs his marked pile of clothes and gives them a quick glance over before going back up to his room to change again.

[2010-07-19 20::32:18] John_Kilanger: after saying this, he puts his plate away, and grabs his designated clothes and goes to his room

[2010-07-19 20::33:57] Henri_DEllaine: returns to the dining room, hair swept back and wet and wearing the uniform that had been set out. Letting out a "Monsieur" has he passes the man standing near by, he heads over the food. Letting out a sigh, he turns towards the table "Did you really eat all the bacon? Really?"
[2010-07-19 20::34:03] Ruru_Fields: nods at this and takes a piece of the bacon left over, having just cleared her plate, uses it to mop up the last of her syrup and eats it carefully.
[2010-07-19 20::34:34] Ruru_Fields: then stands up and goes to make herself a pot of tea.
[2010-07-19 20::34:55] Michael_Al-Misiri: "Doesh that taste good?" He looks at her excitedly, multiple strips of bacon being chewed in his mouth.
[2010-07-19 20::35:33] Ruru_Fields: "So, Nerv guys watching us eat. What can we do for you, or what do you want to do to us?" She smiles indulgently to Mike. "I've got a sweet tooth a mile long."
[2010-07-19 20::35:54] Kazimir_Prochazka: , now dressed in uniform, steps down the stairs again with a cigarette and lighter in tow. Nodding as he passes the NERV agent, he heads for the door.
[2010-07-19 20::36:07] Michael_Al-Misiri: smiles as best he can, and takes the bottle of syrup and tilts his head back, pouring it in.
[2010-07-19 20::36:24] John_Kilanger: follows soon after Kaz, and waves a hello to the agent.
[2010-07-19 20::36:45] Doink: "Er..." The uniformed man scratches his head. "Someone has to take you to school, right? That's my job."
[2010-07-19 20::36:46] Henri_DEllaine: Grabs a few pieces of toast and heads out in suit with Kaz and John.

[2010-07-19 20::39:19] Ruru_Fields: blinks at Mike. "Mikey... You're not supposed to drink it, you're supposed to add it to other foods to enhance the flavor with sugar. I know mainlining the rush is tempting but moderation nin all things."

[2010-07-19 20::39:57] Doink: In the drive out front, a familiar black SUV sits idling.
[2010-07-19 20::39:58] Michael_Al-Misiri: "Tastesh good..."
[2010-07-19 20::41:30] Henri_DEllaine: "Merci." Henri takes the cigarette between his thumb and index finger. After taking a drag, his arm falls back down. "So... what exactly is up with Michael? You all have had more time with him."

[2010-07-19 20::42:18] Kazimir_Prochazka: "He's just not right in the head. The sort of thing that if he was a farm animal, you'd take out back and shoot."

[2010-07-19 20::43:25] Michael_Al-Misiri: wipes the syrup off his mouth with his arm and grabs his clothes, stopping in his room for his fairly large turtle, and running up the stairs to the bath.

[2010-07-19 20::44:07] Kazimir_Prochazka: flicks his cigarette's tip, and looks at the door to the dorms. Hearing no one coming out, he turns back to John and Henri.

[2010-07-19 20::53:14] Doink: A stately looking stone building, of similar architecture to Ward Hall, appears atop a small rise, surrounded by well-manicured lawn and landscaping. It’s center tower rises five stories above the ground, with two three-story wings extending from either side and a grand wooden entrance door set in it’s middle. As the van pulls up in the circle below the flight of stone steps which lead to it, the Pilots can see the sign set tastefully beside the entranceway: “Miskatonic Academy for Gifted Youth.”

[2010-07-19 21::30:09] Doink: The classroom is a curious mix of technologies. It is furnished in an archaic style, with rows of ornate wood and metal desks lined up before a wooden lectern and blackboard, the floors made of worn hardwood and the outer wall lined with thin arched windows set into the walls. However, closer inspection reveals the screens set into the tops of each desk, the projectors dotting the ceiling, and the complex controls resting on top of the lectern.
[2010-07-19 21::31:33] Doink: Students are sitting in scattered groups around the desks, chatting, although the chatting dies down as the room turns to look at you as you enter. A woman sitting at what appears to be the teachers desk on the other side of the lecturn gets to her feet.
[2010-07-19 21::32:13] Doink: "You must be the new students, yes? Please, find seats for yourselves. Class will be beginning momentarily."
[2010-07-19 21::32:52] Doink: Students begin returning to their desks. There appears to be many more desks in the room than there are students, so there are free spaces just about everywhere.
[2010-07-19 21::42:41] Doink: A bell chimes throughout the hallways of the school.
[2010-07-19 21::43:18] Doink: The woman who appears to be a teacher strides over to the Lecturn as the class quiets down to silence. "Good morning, class."
[2010-07-19 21::44:04] Doink: "Good morning, Miss Church," the class chimes back mechanically, albiet a bit half-heartedly.
[2010-07-19 21::47:46] Ruru_Fields: yawns a bit and cracks her knuckles, looking attentive.
[2010-07-19 21::48:39] Michael_Al-Misiri: "Ruru..." He whispers. "My tummy kind of hurts."
[2010-07-19 21::49:39] Ruru_Fields: "I told you not to drink the syrup. That's what happens when you don't liste to me. It hurts."
[2010-07-19 21::50:11] Doink: "Alright, class. As you can probably tell, we have some new students joining us today."

[2010-07-19 21::51:02] Doink: She looks down at her lectern. "Michael, Haru, Henri, Jonathan, and... Kazimir? Could you all please come to the front of the room and introduce yourselves?"

[2010-07-19 21::51:50] Kazimir_Prochazka: sighs, and steps up from his chair and walks to the front.
[2010-07-19 21::52:10] Ruru_Fields: "It's okay, just listen to me in the future." SHe stands up and moves to the front of the room, she picks up a piece of chalk and jauntily writes her name on the board, tossing her scarf over her shoulder as she looks at the rest of the class.
[2010-07-19 21::52:11] Henri_DEllaine: walks up to the front of the room. Raises his hand as if to motion "hi" and says "J'mapelle Henri D'Ellaine." and sits back down.

[2010-07-19 21::53:01] Kazimir_Prochazka: shakes his head, and looks to John to say "The frenchman puts on a show. Now we just need to wait and watch as the ladies of the room oogle over him."

[2010-07-19 22::18:06] Doink: After a morning of lecture on, of all things, astronomy, the students of class 2-A are freed to walk down to the first floor and the Academy dining hall.
[2010-07-19 22::18:55] Doink: Its a large, wide room, taking up the whole first floor of one of the wings, with rows of wooden tables running down its length and a traditional cafeteria-style line down one side.
[2010-07-19 22::19:29] Doink: There seems to already be a few classes eating there as the class enters in a small knot.
[2010-07-19 22::28:47] Kazimir_Prochazka: "Right. You croon them with whatever passes as "exotic" language, and i'll be the pretty face."
[2010-07-19 22::29:01] Doink: Looking out over the room, most of the students are sitting in groups of two or three tables. Judging from the ones closest to you, you can tell that they seem to all have the same collar pins.

[2010-07-19 22::35:36] Michael_Al-Misiri: gets a plate stacked with meat, the equivalent of two to three plates, and another with a plate's worth of vegetables and heads back to Ruru.

[2010-07-19 22::36:15] Kazimir_Prochazka: is moved up to get his food, and takes an inexplicably long time in choosing his dishes as he shoots glances back at Henri.
[2010-07-19 22::36:32] Doink: "...Hello," A slender, blonde-haired girl says finally, seated across the table. You recognize her voice from the classroom. "I'm Jeanne."
[2010-07-19 22::36:50] Ruru_Fields: perks and watches Henri with rapt attention. She takes her plate with a quiet 'thank you' and begins to lightly pick at her food.
[2010-07-19 22::37:19] Henri_DEllaine: "Oh... you're supposed to be tutoring us or what have you, oui? So, whats it like around here, anyways?"
[2010-07-19 22::37:21] Doink: The rest of the table eyes Henri warily. The pin on their collars appears to be some sort of tool—a mason's chisel, perhaps.
[2010-07-19 22::37:56] Doink: "Yes, you will have to catch up on our classes progress, of course..."
[2010-07-19 22::38:34] Doink: She turns to the students around her. "Oh come on. Be nice. He's new here, give him a break."
[2010-07-19 22::38:54] Michael_Al-Misiri: takes his fork and uses it to put large pieces of meat in his mouth in a more civilized manner, yet still taking far too large of bites.
[2010-07-19 22::38:58] Henri_DEllaine: "Well, let's save that for latter. How about you all catch me up on what there is to do around here." Henri tries to break the group with a smile, this is getting tough.
[2010-07-19 22::39:56] Doink: "Sorry." She gives you a weak smile. "This is a wonderful school, but it can be very... competitive."
[2010-07-19 22::40:13] Ruru_Fields: steals small bites from Mike's plate at irregular intervals, she promises her belly that it will get more food at home.
[2010-07-19 22::40:52] Kazimir_Prochazka: nearly has his plate (and an extra for Henri) full and is now trying to glare at Henri, waiting for a wave over or a "no go" signal.
[2010-07-19 22::41:18] Doink: Over where Ruru and Mike are seated, a broad-shouldered young man strides over from a nearby table and takes a seat across from them.
[2010-07-19 22::41:46] Henri_DEllaine: chuckles. "I can promise you, we have absolutely not will to challenge you all academicly. So really, what /does/ a girl like you do for fun around here?" Henri tries to slip Kaz a "I have no idea what's going on" face. It's not exactly going nowhere, but it's not going somewhere either.
