>The school bell rings for you to move to your next class.
>When you pick up your backpack, you are shoved back into your seat by an unfriendly face among the crowd of kids leaving the room.

>When you get back into the hallway, you pull out your phone to check the time.
"Ten minutes until school's out. Might as well start walking to the front."

>She catches up with you.

>You look at her and see a light blush on her face.
"Yeah, it was. I mean, why would she think that just because we're the opposite gender that we have to be dating?"
>Her eyes look down a little bit.

>She says that last part a bit strangely.
>You walk with her in silence to the front of the building.
>The bell rings when you reach the door and you exit.
>Applejack lives further away than you, so she has to take the bus.
>You walk with her to her bus.
>"Ah'll uh... Ah'll see ya tomorrow, friend."
>A confused look comes across your face at her tone, but you respond politely.
"See you later Aj."
>She gets on her bus after waving goodbye and you follow the sidewalk to go home.
>Why was she being so weird after what happened in the health room?
>A second earlier she was just being herself, and then she changed instantly.

>You reach your house and take the key from your pocket to unlock and open the door.
>Once inside, you call out.
"I'm home!"

>After closing the door behind you, you enter.

>You stare at each other for a few seconds.

>You shake your head and make your way to the stairs.
>As you ascend them, your father calls to you.
>"I'll tell your mother you ran into a pole again."
"Thanks Dad."
>Your dad's a pretty cool guy sometimes.
>Once you reach your room, you close the door and throw off your backpack.
>You sit on the bed and continue to hold the ice pack to your head.

>You lay down in bed and look up at the ceiling for a little while.
>As you lay in bed, a knock is heard on your door.
"Come in."
>It opens and your jaw drops as Rainbow Dash walks in.

>She sits down on the bed and starts to take off her top.
>You watch with anticipation.

>She turns around and goes downstairs.

>You stand up and start to stretch.
>As you stretch, you look out the window at the dark sky.
>Man, you must have been out for a while.
>Suddenly the sky flashes white for a second and you stop stretching.
"The fuck?"
>You walk over to the window and look out at the sky.
>Nothing seems to be different.
"Maybe my eyes are just playing tricks on me."
>Just then, you notice a tiny light appear in the darkness of the sky.
>It seems to move across the sky.
>Like a shooting star.

>Why is it moving so slow?
>It then seemingly stops moving completely.
>And then the tiny line of light curves downward and lands somewhere in front of the house.

>You shake your head and walk down the stairs for dinner.

>When you get downstairs, you walk into the dining room and sit at the end of the table.
>A plate of pasta is there.
>Your mom is smiling at you as she eats her food.

>"I made your favorite!"



"Mom, the last time I said spaghetti was my favorite was when I was ten. I'm seventeen now."
>Your dad gives you a look.

>You nod and eat your food in silence.
>The rest of the dinner is silent as you repress your anger from the fight earlier today.
>When you finish, you stand up and take your plate to the kitchen.
>After you put it in the sink, your mom calls from the dining room.
>"Can you take out the trash?"

"Alright."
>You take the trash bag out of the can and tie it closed.
>Then you carry it out of the kitchen and leave the house to put it in the dumpster across the street.
>Just after you dispose of the trash, you get curious as to what that thing in the sky was.
>A quick scan of the area is enough to see a tiny crater a few meters away from the dumpster.
>You approach it slowly and peer inside.
>It's a... Watch?
>What would a watch be doing falling from the sky like that?
>Maybe someone dropped it while skydiving?

>That doesn't make any sense.
>What's even more strange is how perfect it looks, considering it just was a flaming mass not too long ago.
>You pick it up and are shocked at how cold it is to the touch.
>Upon further inspection of it, you come to a conclusion.
>This is one nice looking watch.
>You walk back inside with the watch in your hand.
>Without a word to your parents, you go back upstairs and close the door behind you.
>The shiny silver of the watch really pops out when under a light.




>This aught to get you some attention at school.
>You put it on your wrist.
>Four sharp pains are felt on your wrist where the back of the clock are.
>The veins on your arms bulge out and you yell out in pain as this burning sensation is pumped into your body through this watch.
>As first instinct, you try pulling on the watch to get it off.
>It doesn't bulge, and seems to make the pain coursing through your body intensify.
>You lay on your back with all of your limbs stiff and scream at the top of your lungs.
>Mom's voice is heard from downstairs.
>"Anon?!"
>You scream out once again and try slamming the watch against the wall.
>The wall is more damaged than the watch itself.
>A pressure deep within your chest is felt climbing its way up to your neck.
>The door opens and your mother rushes in with your father right behind her.
>She runs to your side and kneels down.
>"Are you alright? What's wrong baby?"
>You groan out in pain, every vein in your body feeling like it's about to burst.
>The pressure reaches your head and your eyes roll back into your head.
>The last thing you hear is the screams of your mother.
