  35. Introduction:
  36. So there are 3 ways to trade on FIFA. They also give you different types of income. The first way is Sniping. This income is instant. You're making profit from the second you pick that card up. Most people know how to snipe although I will cover the best ways to do this (and I do not mean the same way that YouTubers do. They are crap. They give you like 2 different filters or sometimes even single players and say snipe them because they're popular. Don't do that... just don't) The profit is unpredictable and it's a waste of time. The second way is mass bidding. This is semi-instant profit. The profit is small, it requires a good amount of effort and it's just not really worth it as you need coins to make coins. The third technique is investing. This is by far the best method; Minimal effort and lots of profit. The only downfall is the wait times, but this is overcome by the money made by far. I'm not being biased because that's what my twitter is based on, it's because that's genuinely the best technique.
  37.
  38. Transfer List and Clubs:
  39. So you're gonna be investing in players. This means buying a lot of players and holding on to them for a while. Lets say you have only got 5 slots available in your transfer list from other investments and you're looking to invest in some silver players for a potential marquee Matchups. You have 4 options. Option 1, don't invest and possibly lose out on some big profit. Option 2, invest in just 5 players for a little bit of profit. Option 3, sell some players from your previous investments to make space for new ones. Option 4, store players in your club and make bank on both investments. Obviously you want to go with option 4. The only way you can store players to a club is if you don't already own that same variation of the player in their already. For example, you have those 5 spaces left on your list and you want to invest in a random team. Instead of investing in 6 of the same silver CB (for whatever reason), you can invest in every silver CB for a team instead and store them all to your club instead of taking those spots. Apply this same technique to every situation and before you know it, you won't use up and of your transfer List space unless it's essential for your trading. Please take advantage of it and invest in variety rather than specific players as you can hold more then make more. Just because you think 1 player will raise by 5k, doesn't mean you can invest in 50 different players that make you 500 coins each and you end up with 25k and an empty transfer list
  40.
  41. Trade From Nothing:
  42. The main reason for trading is because you want coins. Whether that is because you just want to show off, open packs or buy a team, trading is a great way about this. Lets be honest, packs don't pay off (often), unless you buy them with real money, which just defeats the purpose of trading. So everyone starts with just 500 coins. If you want to trade then you need just 150 coins. If you don't have that then play a match against the AI. So start off by visiting you club. Do you have any consumables? Check their prices. RM->RW and RW-RF cards are always worth a lot (same with the left. Contracts are not worth selling if you don't have many but rares go for 200 coins. Healing cards can be worth a lot, especially during the weekend when the Weekend League is going on. Same with Squad Fitness cards. Chemistry styles are worth only a few hundred coins and some don't sell. Others such as Hunter, Shadow, Wall, Sentinal and Engine will sell. Silver and bronze squad fitness cards are worth around 1k at any time. Quick sell consumables that don't sell and that you don't need. Discard any staff cards you own if you need the coins and the same with Club Items. Very popular team badges and kits will sell. Also if the kit is very different, it will also sell. Check the prices of every single bronze and silver player you own as they may be worth a lot of money (some go for 10k) [Read Silver Players for more]. Do not discard players. Ever. Unless they're duplicates that possibly won't sell for a while. By now you should have at least a few k coins. Some of you may have 25k+ and others may have 500 coins. If you have very few coins then you need to be bidding and sniping chemistry styles such as Engine and Sentinal. Do not snipe Hunter cards, you will not make much profit and everyone will beat you to it. Do this until you have at least 5k. After this you can start sniping Silver players from leagues involved in the SBCs list. Players you snipe may make you 100 coins or they may make you 7k. It's down to luck but you don't have to be as fast when sniping these players. You should be able to get to 20k easily. After this, invest as follows in this tutorial. Silver players are the way forward this fifa, although there will be many different players to invest in and make you lots of profit.
  43.
  44. The Weekend League (WL):
  45. Every weekend we see player compete to earn some serious rewards. This will test some of the better players in FIFA, and reward them accordingly. However, most players that do a lot of trading, aren't the best at the game. But just because you aren't good at the WL, doesn't mean you can make some money out of it. Every Friday, players start buying their teams for the WL, getting better players for a better advantage. Not everyone can afford players such as Pogba, Aguero, Ronaldo etc... so have to build cheaper, yet better teams. This means that a lot of players are buying the same cards on a Friday. If we look more into it, these are the players that are bought very consistently:
  46. * Butland
  47. * Cech
  48. * Lloris
  49. * Smalling
  50. * Bailly
  51. * Bellerin
  52. * Walker
  53. * Shaw
  54. * Kante
  55. * Vardy
  56. * Martial
  57. These are just a few players but you can see the trend. A lot of players go for EPL teams and love to pick up these players. Other players include rare IFs (high rated IFs that were packed much less, and so there are very few cards available). When all these cards are being bought on a Friday, player prices start to go up more and more. On the players listed, this is usually a few 1000 coins. There is margin for profit on these players, but not loads.
  58.
  59. The WL will take place over the weekend and once it is over, players start to dump their teams back on the market to get their coins back. This takes place very late Sunday and Monday afternoons. This causes many player prices to drop by more than a few k, due to so many players undercutting by 100 coins at a time. It could take 100 buyers just to raise the price of smalling by 1k, and take just 5 sellers to drop his price by 2k. That gives you some kind of idea of the effect of the WL has. The main idea of trading, summarised, is "Buy Low, Sell High". Which means that if you plan to pick some players up for yourself, then always choose the day everybody else is selling, and when you plan to sell, make sure it's a day everybody else is buying. The rise and drop of a player is usually much more dramatic when they are a more expensive player or an expensive special card.
  60.
  61. The Weekend League Qualifiers (WLQ):
  62. If you go onto the Online tab, then the WL, then Schedule, you will notice a long list of upcoming WLQs. By hovering over them and pressing A (XB1)/X (PS4), you are shown the requirements on for the WLQs. Sometimes there is no requirements and other times there are. You need to find one with requirements (you want to be looking at least 1 week ahead) and think about what will go up in price. You need to be smart about it. If you're asked to build an entire team around 1 nation, then invest in players from 3 of the most popular nations, such as England, French and Spain. This doesn't mean that every player from those nations will go up in price though. You need to remember that this is to qualify for the WL. Players will want to build the best possible, yet affordable team. So who would everyone buy in this case? The best players would be Smalling and Butland from England and Kante from France, because these players are some of the most popular in the game. You need to look out for requirements that make it hard to make a good team. For example, if there is a max rating, max quality of card or max star rating, you probably can't use gold players. This is when players turn to the next best thing which will be silver cards. Given how few silver packs are opened compared to bronze and gold, this makes good silver players much more rare and so much more expensive. For example, lets say you need an all silver team. Players will begin to buy as many EPL silvers that are the best in their position, such as Isaac Sucess, Iheanacho and Darren Randolph. These are the best players for their positions and so will definitely go up in price by a lot. When it comes to selling investments for the WLQ, then you're looking to sell on the day it is released as players tend to buy their teams on this day. Just remember that you want to be investing at least a week before it starts and if it's closer to 2 weeks, then you will likely pick up much much better deals and make more profit. Be carful though, some requirements won't touch the market. If the requirements are very loose ended team wise, then players won't all be buying the same cards and so player prices won't be driven up. Lets say your squad needs 4 nationalities minimum. Whilst you may think that this is the perfect time to invest in some odd nation players, it actually isn't. There are so many combinations of teams you can create whilst still being within these requirements. You need to think carefully about what will and won't rise in price. Make sure to check the WLQ schedule often. In some cases, the actual WL will have requirements as well. If this is the case, players will look to buy much more expensive players that meet these requirements. Although there tends to be no requirements throughout.
  63.
  64. TOTW Players:
  65. These players follow a set of rules very closely and sometimes can be much easier to predict that at other times. When a new TOTW is released, the players price is the highest it will be. This is because players want to buy these cards as soon as they are released, but there will only be 1 or 2 available straight away. Players will pay so much more than they should on these cards. Over the Wednesday, player prices will continue to drop more and more as they get packed. Eventually, usually 6-8 hours after being in packs, these player prices have dropped too much. They are now being listed lower than their true values. This is the perfect time to pick up some IF cards (not the 81 rated ones from leagues no one uses, and not silver or bronze IFs). Prices will rise a bit more from there and eventually stabilise at its true value. However IFs have more use this year than in previous FIFA titles. With the introduction of SBCs, these players can gain a lot of value and fast. We have seen TOTW guarantee packs cause quite a stir to TOTW cards, although formulas have been found that uses 74 rated IFs instead of the more expensive ones instead. Over time, these IFs can gain value as they get a bit more rare on the market or if demand for them increases. However these players prices can drop very quickly if a second IF comes into play. TOTW cards will be covered a bit more in depth in PLPOTM, TOTW guarantee packs and SIFs.
  66.
  67. TOTW Guarantee:
  68. We have consistently seen two different TOTW packs with the same requirements a few times already. We have the untradable TOTW pack first, and this requires 84 rating and 30 chemistry. This pack is permanently given the contents of a specific TOTW. For example, TOTW 15 guaranteed pack (Untradable), will only ever contain a player from TOTW 15. The other pack is a Tradable TOTW pack. The requirements are similar to the untradable TOTW pack. You need 84 rating, 30 chemistry and 2 TOTW cards. This pack is not tied to the specific TOTW. Depending on what week you're in is the TOTW contained in the pack. For example if it was TOTW 20 and you opened the pack, you will get a player from TOTW 20. This one is tradable. I wouldn't recommend doing the untradable pack as the cheapest you will ever manage to do it is about 20k if you sniped some players or 25k if you just get players relatively cheap. The tradable pack will cost you about 38k, using this formula:
  69. * 2 x 74 IFs
  70. * 4 x 83
  71. * 4 x 84
  72. * 1 x 85
  73. You can pick up the IF cards for 9k each (TOT 18k), each 83 for 1.5k (TOT: 6k), 84 for 2.5k (TOT: 10k) and the 85 for 4k. This is for a total of 38k (+/-2k). Whilst still very very expensive, these packs can be worth a bit more. I recommend only opening them as soon as a new TOTW is released (as usually this is when every player is at their maximum value due to demand and rarity), however there is some exceptions. When loads of TOTW Guarantee packs are gained from SBCs, players hold on to them. They won't open the pack straight away and will instead wait for the next TOTW as they believe they're one step ahead of the game. When everyone opens there TOTW packs at the same time, they plan to sell instantly and so will undercut massively more than the previous seller. This actually causes players to list their TOTW card for less than they're worth. After reaching this point, they will be bought and reach a price based on their actual value. To avoid this, wait at least 2 weeks before you open your packs.
  74.
  75. You can pick up 83, 84 and 85 rated before one of these is released. This means you can stock up beforehand whenever they're cheap and save them in your club (using knowledge learnt from Transfer Lists and Clubs), and sell them when necessary.
  76.
  77. Bronze and Silver TOTW:
  78. Taking into account that many SBCs have required TOTW cards, these can easily rise in price by over 100% of their original value. For example, if a SBC requires just a single TOTW card, then people will purchase the cheapest on possible, which will be bronze TOTW cards. This is until they're all bought and so silver TOTW cards become the cheapest and so they sell. If you can pick up a TOTW card for 5k or less on bronze ones and 7k or less on silver ones (during periods where TOTW cards haven't been used), then they can and will sell for at least 7k and 9k respectively.
  79.
  80. Scream Cards:
  81. The Scream Team was introduced during October, as part of a plan to sell more packs. They also gave us SBCs where these cards were a requirement, which took players massively by surprise. They were used again in a FUTmas SBC. This also took players by surprise and so now players are very wary of any special card becoming a requirement in a SBC, and so in fear of selling a player that could become very valuable, the Scream cards have maintained even more value than they should of. Other reasons for retaining price include rarity and the fact they have some small stat boosts. Whilst it is unlikely that they will be used again, we can't rule this out. EA added more of these cards to the market which both sucks coins out of the market and increased the amount available to players. This could either mean that they want to release a SBC with these as a requirement in the future, or they're just trying to avoid them going extinct. Either way, it may be worth holding one or two in the club in case they do release a SBC in the future. Sneijder is always a good choice, due to his higher rating amongst Scream cards and his lower cost compared to all of the cards.
  82.
  83. TOTGS Cards:
  84. TOTGS Cards went into packs for a while and have never been a requirement (As of writing this). Some of these cards have very little value, such as Kongolo, as he is from an unpopular league and there is a large quantity of the card available on the market. This makes them the perfect example of something that could be used in a SBC, as this would make them valuable and get rid of some from the market. It is definitely worth picking up a couple of TOTGS cards as they will almost definitly become of value in the future. This is also why the price of the card sometimes goes up, as players start to believe it may come up in a challenge, such as PLPOTM.
  85.
  86. Movembers:
  87. Movember cards became something of an annoyance in the FIFA community, with cards being almost worthless and in huge quantities. Just like TOTGS cards, until they were finally used in the FUTmas SBCs. Considering that these cards were out for a full month and we had loads and loads of big packs, there are still loads of Movembers on the market that are cheap. This makes them still a very viable option for investing as they will more than likely become a requirement once again, wether that be in a one of SBC or PLPOTM, but either way these cards are very cheap to get hold of so it's always worth picking some up, especially since it is a safe investment (see Safe Investing for more info on why)
  88.
  89. PLPOTM:
  90. There are two main ways of trading with POTM. You can either abuse the hype train, or take some bigger risks for bigger rewards. Lets use Hazard POTM as an example. During the lead up to POTM, players started to invest into Chelsea players because they wanted to prepare for the SBCs. This is the hype build up. There has been no new SBCs, there has been no increase or decrease in supply of the cards. The demand however has risen dramatically as both investors looking to make money from a SBC by preparing for it and buyers that want to complete the POTM SBC will be purchasing tons of these cards in preparation. Smart investors would of invested in these cards days or sometimes weeks earlier in advance. This is the perfect time to sell as you have made guaranteed profit from the hype. You could alternatively hold onto these cards for the POTM challenges to be released. Assuming that a SBC is released, those who haven't picked up cards will begin to do so, and so the prices rise more and the investors will make lots of profit, however if the expected SBC doesn't happen, which in the case of Hazard POTM this occurred, then everyone is left with loads of a specific card (in the example is was Chelsea players), and no SBC. This means that no one needs these cards and investors begin panic selling. They have taken the risk to hold onto the investments. If there was a SBC then they will make lots of profit, but if there is not one, the demand for the card will drop to almost nothing and so everyone starts to panic sell. You can use these sudden drops to pick up loads of a card (such as John Terry who hit 850 coins and a week later was selling for 6k). So to summarise, either sell in the hype for guaranteed profit or risk it all for even more profit. There have been 2 requirements which have proven persistent in POTM. This is IF cards and player nation. You can invest in loads of high rated, cheap IF cards. During POTM these cards will rise. Initially they may rise 10k-30k more than they should be. So IF cards are always a good choice for investing. Another IF card that rises significantly if the EPL IF cards which rise to around 30k as a result of POTM. This makes cheap players such as IF Trippier a good choice as it allows lots more profit per card. Other choices include Shawcross, being a cheap EPL IF that is also high rated, giving it even more value. You can also look to invest in high rated players from the respective nation to the POTM. It has been a consistent requirement with POTM SBCs. This is what caused Swedish IF cards to go up in price massively, as it is expected to be a requirement for Ibrahimovic POTM.
  91.
  92. Winter Upgrades:
  93. Ways you usually invest for winter upgrades includes purchasing lots of a players IF card so that when they get an upgrade, the inform is better and becomes more valuable. Usually this method is fine but this year it is not. I seem to be the only person to notice how this year, IF cards are separated by ratings, rather than just +1 OVR. For example, take Immobile. His gold card is 80 OVR, his FIF is 83 OVR and his SIF is 85 OVR. These ratings are spread out and this is the case with many other IF cards. This is so that when players get winter upgrades, their IFs don't upgrade as well. An IF only gets an upgrade if the normal gold card reaches the same rating or better than the IF card. This would mean Immobile would have to reach 83 Rated with a +3 OVR rating (which won't happen), and even then his FIF will of been reached, pushing it to 84 which still doesn't reach his SIF. If you were planning to invest in his SIF then he would need a +4 OVR rating to his winter upgrade which isn't happening. This applied to many players in FIFA. You won't see many IF cards upgrade at all. Exceptions include higher rated base card players who only get +1 OVR to IFs to stop them hitting 99 in a few IF cards. These players are very unlikely to get an upgrade if this is the case anyway. The only players worth investing in is silver versions of players that will become gold cards because of the upgrades, which is very difficult to predict. That's why I'm not wasting coins on players that won't upgrade. Also it's worth mentioning that investing in players who are let's say 80 rated, and you think will get an upgrade is a stupid idea. Their 81 cards will become common in a few days and make the 80 rated irrelevant. People won't want to buy the lower rated versions making investing in them pointless. Like I said, there probably is money to be made somewhere in this but it's not in IF cards this year. Read the EA FAQ on winter upgrades if you still don't understand why IFs will not get upgrades and if hey do, there will only be a couple. Finally, if a player does get an upgrade and they do have an IF, but they also have either a Movember or a Scream card that is +1 Rating to their gold card, it will temporarily be worth more until people realise it's the worst investment ever because players will rather buy the still higher rated IF card.
  94.
  95. Safe Investing:
  96. This is a very sensible method of trading. Safe Investing is where you cannot lose any coins no matter what (although some people would class it as only being able to lose a very small amount of coins). There is 2 ways in which this will happen. The first way is to buy a player that you know will go up in price. There has to be a high level on market knowledge to confidently say that a player will definitely rise, although there are some situations where you will make profit guaranteed, given you don't over pay. This includes the WLQ challenge that requires a max of silver players. For example if you're to invest in silver EPL players, we can confidently say that they will go up in price eventually, although this may take a while to happen, but it eventually will happen. The second way is buying players for discard value. This could be a 75 rated rare player for 600 coins, or a 75 rated non-rare player for 300 coins. These players cannot go below this value. Even if you bought them for their respective discard values and no one will buy them, you can simply just discard them for all of your coins back. This method works the same with special cards. It isn't very often that it occurs where you can invest in players that are discard value, but we saw this in the case of Movember cards. Safe Investing is a smart way of working, although you may find that profit doesn't come in huge amounts, unlike more risky trading methods.
  97.
  98. League SBCs (LSBC):
  99. These are very powerful when it comes to huge profit. Although it is very difficult to even make this profit in the first place and can be very time consuming. When referring to a LSBC, it is one of the challenges for the SBC cards such as Lacazette, Jonas, Giovinco, Perbet, Gignac, Eto'o, Smolov and De Jong. In each of these sets of challenges, you need to build full teams of players with 95 chemistry. In almost every single challenge, Silvers are required. This is for multiple reasons, such as if you need the chemistry and there is only one or two players that are in the correct position and they are silver, then the player is forced to buy them. Also if the team being built needs a certain rating and there aren't enough high rated players then you need to buy the higher rated silver players. Another reason may be that there is no other players in the team that can be used, such as in the case of Toulouse FC, where a large majority of players are silver. This means that these players rocket up in price. This means that you will need to anticipate future SBCs and predict which league will be introduced and when. This occurs approximately every 1-2 months. If you're to pick up these players early on you will be prepared for them to go extinct (or at least become rare), so that the prices rise loads. You would then sell once the SBC comes out and take your profits. You can find lists of players from clubs where silvers are likely to become very expensive on Reddit or Twitter (or alternatively look for them yourself using concept squads). These players may take months before they become of higher value however can pay off very well, becoming upwards of 10x your original investment.
