Just an update for everyone..

Here is what we have done so far, we have gotten the codebase operational, working, with in our internal testing group we were able to get the get the site up and running, and the stratum server processing workers properly. We are in the process of re-writing the coin choosing algorithm, to take in to account several factors besides just profitability (mostly to avoid possible future forks.)

We have provisioned our first stratum server, after much research and debate, we have settled on a Digital Ocean droplets. We have provisioned the highest tier service possible, and our first server is a respectable 20 core, 64GB Ram, 660GB SSD beast with a full 1Gbps connection, we pretty much maxxed out every speed test we could think of, and were getting 10ms ping times on the Eastern Coast of the U.S.

We are currently configuring the server, and configuring/syncing all the wallets for our first round of tests. Our preliminary tests will begin around 8-9pm Eastern Standard Time on Friday. We will mostly be testing the pay out system/coin choosing system, as this is our primary concern right now. If testing goes well, we will transition in to invite only testing later that night (this can be much much later in the night, depending on our outcomes.) Closed invites will be handed out in IRC on freenode in #blackcoinpool, to whoever has spare hashing power at the time-- please do not ask ahead of time, as we can't guarantee you a spot.

IF, and this is a big IF, if the closed tests go well, we plan to try and open up the pool for a beta test this weekend. However, if we experience problems with payout, this could delay things a bit further (we do not want to leave any one hanging on payout.)

We have also added 2 additional software engineers to the team, who should be joining the team as of Tomorrow. We will push fast and hard to enhance the pool, and provide a good platform for the community.

We will do our best keep the community updated through the testing phases, we are also usually available in irc on freenode #blackcoinpool and will be more than happy to answer any questions people may have.
