Saizou: Welcome back Ryouma-sama.

Ryouma: As you can see, I’ve bought Sakura and Hinoka back unharmed. How were things in the castle? Did anything happen?

Saizou: Nothing in particular.

Ryouma: Good job.

Saizou: Suzukaze, I hope you didn’t do anything to trouble Ryouma-sama.

Suzukaze: Of course not brother. I did my best, however to be honest there were more monsters than expected so I did hold us back slightly.

Ryouma: I could say the same, but the problem wasn’t only the numbers but also the frequency of the attacks that struck me as strange. After I introduce Kamui we must form a plan to combat this.

Takumi: It’s Ryouma and the others! …thank god they’re safe. Hey! Big brother Ryo-
Without thinking my feet stopped in the midst of going to greet Ryouma. Seeing big brother Ryouma patting Kamui’s head filled me with a feeling I couldn’t explain.

Ryouma: Kamui you did well in your first battle for Hoshido. I didn’t expect less from my little   brother.

Kamui: …ah! Geez, big brother Ryouma I’m not a kid anymore.

Takumi: Up until now, I was Ryouma’s only little brother… but now, why is the person that had only just appeared standing there, playing the role of the little brother? Usually I would be the one that went to battle with Ryouma. I should have been the one to save big sister Hinoka and Sakura. I feel sick seeing this person who doesn’t know his place. I held back my voice and began to leave.

Ryouma: Oh, if it isn’t Takumi. Good timing, come here.

Takumi: … ah, sure.

Ryouma: Takumi, I think you’ve heard the news from mother. This is your brother Kamui. Kamui this is one of the siblings I mentioned before, Takumi.

Kamui: Please to meet you Takumi…….Takumi?

Takumi: I’m not in the slightest, excited to meet you.

Kamui: !?

Ryouma: Hey, what’s with this all of a sudden.

Takumi: I won’t accept him. From what I’ve heard it seems like he’s quite close with the Nohrian royals. On top of that he doesn’t remember anything about this place. Is he really my brother? A prince of Hoshido?

Ryouma: Of course he is. He is well and truly a prince of this country. The colour of his hair, his eyes, they’re all the same as the Kamui I knew back then. On top of that his kind personality hasn’t changed at all.

Takumi: Hah, then I’ll accept that he’s the same person. I don’t have much of a comeback since I don’t have any memories of him. But would a kind person plan an attack on Hoshidan troops at the endless ravine?

Kamui: Well I… I tried to stop it, I said that we should retreat without fighting.

Takumi: Huh, well that’s not what happened.

Ryouma: Takumi. Stop it.

Takumi: On top of that there’s unrest between Hoshido and Nohr, of course I’d be suspicious of him.

Kamui: Takumi…

Takumi: Listen up, I’m not just going to welcome you with open arms. If you plan on taking advantage or Ryouma or mothers kindness, I’ll never forgive you.

Kamui: Ah….

Ryouma: I’m sorry Kamui, Takumi can be moody sometimes. I’ll have a talk to him later-

Kamui: No, it’s only normal. I just appeared out of nowhere so there’s no helping it if he’s suspicious.

Ryouma: Kamui…

Kamui: That aside, I said I would go see Queen Mikoto the moment I returned so I need to go.



Mikoto: Here we are Kamui, this is your room.  Do as you please with it.

Kamui: Ah… and this is?

Mikoto: Oh this is drawing you drew when you were younger. Here, this is father, this is me and this is you.

Kamui: …

Mikoto: This is the room you used to have when you were little. Ever since you were kidnapped this room hasn’t changed. I felt like I was accepting the fact that you weren’t coming back when I tried to remove everything. So I couldn’t bring myself to do it. You really have grown Kamui…

Kamui: Um… I don’t remember anything at all.

Mikoto: Huh?

Kamui: So… I don’t know how to react to anything you said at all. I may have been your beloved son, but to me you just seem like a person I’ve just met. Even if you tell me we’re mother and son… I can’t return those feelings….

Mikoto: Kamui…

Kamui: I’m sorry, even though you’re… my mother.

Mikoto: Not at all… there’s no helping it, since you were brought up in Nohr. But I want to slowly earn back that time that we’ve lost. And if possible, I want us to be a family once again, that’s how I feel.

Kamui: …

Mikoto: For now, spend the time here as you like. Walk around the castle or beyond, do as you please.

Kamui: My own room, my own drawing, my siblings, my mother, I should be moved by all these memories but I can’t remember a thing. It’s no wonder people are suspicious of me. I don’t think deserve it. I don’t… deserve everyone’s kindness.
