- Union Senate Bill A-000004
- Provisioning for the Common Defense against Seasonal Threats
- 1. Full half of the Union Army shall remain along the front to guard against potential future threats until such time as the Senate deems the IFM to no longer pose a threat.
- 2. Those who feel that they can no longer spare deployed troops to the Theatre may option to withdraw their units home for defense purposes. "Half" the Union Army's number shall be reckoned after all those who seek to take this option have done so.
- 3. The latter half of the Union Army shall be dispersed among the coastal territories equitably and under the control of a new Union Home Defense Commander (UHDC). The acting el Presidente shall enjoy the privilege of selecting this individual in the fashion of appointment outlined in UJC selection in USB A-000002.
- 4. The UHDC shall be charged firstly with defending the Union's coastal lands against assault, here defined as: the USA2 coastline, the New Camelot coastline, and TARME's coastline. As a tertiary option the UHDC may elect to deploy in support of the demonstrably stalwart Deliverance and its copious coastal territories should the need arise and their consent be obtained.
- 5. The UHDC shall be compelled to deploy forces to response to confirmed bulk forces of Death Chiggers striking far south enough to warrant a Union concern. The UHDC shall have the authority to transfer units to Bowling Green temporarily if this is deemed the best location to address the incursions from. These units will be under the command of the UJC during this duration with an explicit understanding that their presence is to address Death Chigger threats.
- 6. In [five turns] time this Bill must be renewed or dismissed. This will be held as a simple-majority aye/nay in the Senate.
