  1. <KamenWriter> Of the whole subplot with the birds and Richard getting himself a Moltres and the islands falling apart because of it
  2. <KamenWriter> Because not it's a loose end that's bothering me :<
  3. <@Anise> I'm not the person you should be asking?
  4. <@DamienLunas> but...
  5. <@DamienLunas> where's the guy that grabbed hau's ass
  6. <KamenWriter> I figured Thursday would know more about it.
  7. <@DamienLunas> he's my favorite character.
  8. * zoofTop (zoofman@sux-2742DF46.cns.vt.edu) Quit (Quit: )
  9. <@DamienLunas> also wait why does kate need to stay on that island again
  10. <@DamienLunas> I thought it was because of corrupted shit that is gone now
  11. <KamenWriter> That's another thing
  12. <@Anise> dammit, gabelyle isn't on
  13. <KamenWriter> I want to ask Happy whether Giratina was evil or wasn't he?
  14. <KamenWriter> Because it seemed like G was behind everything, and he was all like "Hahaha, come live under me and let the world go to hell" but afterwards he marries Hau and Kate together
  15. <KamenWriter> So... uh... what was the deal with that. That didn't really come through. :<
  16. <@DamienLunas> yeah that bugged me.
  17. <@Anise> probably neutral asshole
  18. <KamenWriter> Maybe. It still seems a little weird
  19. <KamenWriter> :B One of Happy's flaws is that the story he told had a good core, but I think he really shoved on way too many extra bells and whistles and details and cool gimmicks pretty much right up to the end, and too many of them didn't really go anywhere.
  20. <KamenWriter> Like, the Altaria islands, I guess I can understand that he wanted to end the campaign and hurried us up back to Prism before he could actually resolve the "Islands are falling apart" plot.
  21. * MrComp (chatzilla@sux-29220931.drr03.wyng.mn.frontiernet.net) has joined #pokeymans
  22. <KamenWriter> But stuff like my bagpipes. That seemed to be enormously important at the time, but I never saw any practical place to really use them.
  23. <KamenWriter> Or any hint to their actual function.
  24.
  25. <KamenWriter920> And it didn't really help that Sol and Luna never really developed any one "Face" I could recognize as the big bad boogeyman. First there was that guy in Scarlet, but he died like a bitch, then there was that other Sol guy who was trying to absorb Haephestus on our side who also died like a bitch before we even really got to know him,
  26. <KamenWriter920> and then on the Luna side we had Indigo as a badguy who seemed major, but then he wasn't and Jane seemed like a big player even though she wasn't really a BAD guy.
  27. <KamenWriter920> And now Anaxagoria was the big bad, I guess, but from my POV he got two lines and then MAKE WAY FOR MISSINGNO
  28. <@Anise> I don't think I even learend who that guy was
  29. <@Anise> learned
  30. <@Anise> Anaxagoria that is
  31. <KamenWriter920> And then in Lilac there was the third team, the Darks, who we met all of once, burned down their hideouts and then never really heard from them again :B
  32. <KamenWriter920> Same here. I vaugely remembered the name.
  33. <@DamienLunas> happy dumped a bucket of water on one of them once :D
  34. <@Anise> the darks were the mafia group right
  35. <KamenWriter920> Also Nikolai never REALLY became very relevant, which was weird.
  36. <KamenWriter920> I think that Happy probably could have combined a lot of the later-game Sol and Luna faces into a couple of characters important to us as PCs.
  37. <KamenWriter920> Say, Nikolai for Tuesday rep, and Indigo or Jane to rep Thursday
  38. <KamenWriter920> And have them be the ones to really go in and roll in the apocalypse.
  39. <KamenWriter920> Oh, also, why did those Sol guys in the ruin "Coronate" me? That didn't really seem to have MUCH of a point. I guess except to mark Peter for becoming the new "Cheater."
  40. <KamenWriter920> So, yeah, I guess Sol and Luna never really felt like something relatable because we never really developed any "Jessie and James"es to really identify with who Sol and Luna are and what they stand for, At least IMO.
  41. <KamenWriter920> Or maybe it's just me, since I had to leave for a few weeks and missed a whole bunch of stuff, like actually meeting Indigo and most of the Luna hierarchy.
